Saturday – Let the Games begin!

Saturday – Let the Games begin!

Hi!
Thanks for popping in!
Quick blog from Frankfurt.
Had a couple of meetings in the morning,

ran into a couple of friends,
one in particular, which made my day!
Here is our very own Rolfi!
It was great to catch up and have a coffee together.

even got to give an award to Golden Acrylic!

(and you know how much I love Golden Acrylic!)

What else?
Made some great contacts.
Happy to announce that we now have a European Distributor.
So that means our products will be coming to shops on the Continent.

What else?
Feet are killing me, neck is aching,
and my Ipad is playing up.
Otherwise a good and fruitful day.

While Dave and I hit the town in search of food,
let me leave you with a small selection of recent blog artwork,
which exemplifies the very core of Clarity:

STAMPS and MASKS

GROOVI PARCHMENT

STENCILS

Sometimes, when you’re walking around these shows,
and you see all the fabulous products and stands,
it’s easy to forget what you have actually got in your own cupboard!

Note to self: Have faith, believe in yourself and never stop trying to do the next right thing.

love & peace,

  1. Great that you got to meet Rolfi. Sounds like everything is going swimmingly. That's an odd word, but sounded right.
Hope the rest of the trip is as successful. Great news about the distributor. Xx

  2. So pleased for you that you've had a productive day. You need a hot bath for your sore neck and feet, some good food in your tummy, but I haven't a clue what to do for your ipad – maybe turn it off and on again! Susan x

  3. Hello from your accident prone friend. Still feel as though I have been hit by a wrecking ball but I will mend. Happy to hear that all is going well. Yes those acrylics are wonderful to work with. As for your product cupboard….as far as I am concerned, they are ALL key to my crafty heaven. For me Claritystamp represents pure quality from design to point of sale and beyond. I love you all. Hugs xxx
P.s. Hope you get some relief from the pain. Xxxx

    2. Thank you so very much ladies for your concern. Very heartwarming. Unfortunately I took a flying tumble off my back steps and have injured my right shoulder and arm. Don't ask how I managed to do it… Still trying to work it out. Suffice to say I am on total rest and Hubby and son looking after me. Taking lots of painkillers and antiimflamatories to help. Hopefully I will mend and be back crafting soon. Hugs to all. XXXXXXXXXXXX

  4. Sounds like a good day, glad to hear it is coming together for you with your network, definitely the right way to go. You whole ethos is around helping people to explore their creativity and for that you need the personal touch, people who can demo your products and show people how easy it is to get professional results. They will then naturally lead people to the great resources you have created with the blog, the website and YouTube. So yes it is a slog to get the network in place but so worth it. A good day's work, so you can relax a bit and enjoy yourself. Much love Karen xxx

    1. Thanks Sheila, still keep going over and over it, wondering if I should have done more but hoping to do some crafting tomorrow. If I can manage that then I'll be on the right road. Thanks for the support, that means so much and certainly speeds up the recovery. Hope you're feeling better too, much hugs and love Karen xxx

  5. Oh thank goodness you're there , you know , on my iPad . I almost went into withdrawal .
I think you're the best of the best . Sounds like a good day . Sleep tight . Joy now jan xo

  6. Clarity and Ranger are my 'go to' craft companies. The quality is excellent; as is the value and versatility. Barbara Gray and Tim Holtz are my favourite designers and source of insiration. However, this is the only blog that I HAVE to read every day.

  7. Great message, Barbara; and one we can all live by, whatever we do. Please remember your work is of the highest quality and admired around the world…but they do say we need to continue to have the nagging fear poking at us to keep on trying, improving and doing the next best thing. Enjoy the show. Wish I was there to rove around the booth and echo how good your products are while you demonstrate to those at your booth, like I did at CHA. I simply cannot help myself shouting from the rooftops singing your praises! I hope you and Dave didn't mind, but it is always good to hear from the customers as word of mouth is a solid referral source. Be present to those there and enjoy the show. Cynthia

    1. Hi Donna – I've been to a charity craft day, having lots of fun, making cards and raising money for the juvenile diabetes research fund. Hope the weather isn't too bad where you are xxxx

    2. Hi Donna, good for you stamping, brushes and inks, aren't we lucky having all these choices. I've been on the Groovy doing some white work while my Grandson was making a bookmark. Even had a short walk, it was freezing. Tonight been to a village pantomime which was Aladin and it was brilliant. Love and hugs Pam xx

  8. You are certainly putting it about a bit! Lovely to see Rolfi. I've managed to get get my calendar challenge in, just in the nick of time. It was a real struggle, quite a few attempts.

  9. So glad to hear you've had a positive day Barbara. Aye, you should have faith, and believe in yourself, you, your company and your products are amazing. And when your doubt gremlin comes knocking, we're all here to help send him packing ;-).

Struggling to see our own stuff the way others see it seems to go hand in hand with having a crafty/arty brain. I think it's much more than just a lack of self-confidence, especially for those of us perfectionists. It's a weird one that I've never been able to come up with a theory for.

I hope tomorrow is as, or even more, positive for you
    love and hugs, Brenda xxxx

So pleased to hear that you've had a successful day. You certainly deserve all the success you are having. 21. Just about to hit the sack – bet Barbara is in bed, tucked up snug! Well still shell- shocked from my news yesterday but had a bit of a rethink today – just about working. Stencils, stamping, mica, groovi etc etc. That is what Barbara and Clarity have given me. Joy, peace, frustration, invigaration, energy to move on, inspiration and I could go on. What can one say about Barbara and Clarity and Clarity Towers – a big, big thank you and much, much more. OBE needed, I reckon.
Hope some of you read this, especially the Queen of Craft, herself.
Lots of love to you and Dave and all the bloggers out there who gave there good wishes yesterday.
    Anne (Reading)

    1. Anne just caught up with comments yesterday, sorry to hear you've had some shocking news, it takes as long as it does to process, you'll still have us here to unload on. I have found that hugely comforting, how complete strangers can just make you feel not alone with those pesky thoughts. So when you need us to share the load a bit we can be here for you. It helps us too and makes us forget our troubles too. Much hugs Karen xxx

  22. That all sounds very positive and good for the future! Hope you're feet are less achey and your tummy now full . I'm struggling to keep my eyes open now as I didn't get to sleep till After 5 a.m. I did manage to get a card done for the challenge today – better late than never! Xx

  23. Hi Barbara and Dave, wonderful news about you having a European Distributor, you're going to have even more followers once your fantastic products get to the stores in Europe. Well done, you deserve all these wonderful things that are happening to you and your company, and don't forget that. You work so hard, you've earned it. Like your note to yourself. Lovely you meeting Rolfi for a coffee. Look forward to tomorrow's news. Glad you had a good meal out near your hotel. Love Pam xxx

Love reading Barb's words, and then all the comments. Such a friendly community, you are all a fantastic bunch of people.

I can also sympathise with your neck problem, mine has been terrible for the past couple of months, but I don't like to take tablets unless I 'absolutely have to' haha.
