Dee Day xxx
Hi there!
Greetings from Bognor Regis!!
Took a day out to go visit my mate Dee Paramour.
It was good to spend time with her, and take in some sunshine.
Here we see Dee larking about.
Check out the bright blue house in the background!
I bet his neighbours were impressed.
The pier at Bognor.
A little unloved? A tad neglected?
Back in the day I bet it was a hive of activity…
Sad that we English let our piers just fall into the sea.
The sky was blue,
the sun was warm,
and there were beautiful pockets of tranquility,
like this one.
We walked for ages, chatting, reminiscing.
Dee told me about her summers as a child,
and I told her about mine.
It was rather lovely to remember the good old days,
walking along the front at Bognor.
But it started to get a bit dark over Will’s Mum’s house,
(the bright blue one!)
so we headed back to Dee’s home,
and made an exciting arty joint plan going forward.
It will be Deelightful,
because anybody who know Dee knows
she is a top banana Deesigner.
I love her, and I love her work.
More will be revealed….
love & hugs,

Sounds like a lovely day. It is always good to spend some time with a friend. Looking forward to the ' big reveal' , sounds exciting – what can you be planning 🙂
Does anyone know where the saying 'over Will's mother's' originates? My father was often saying it and as he was from.Lancashire I thought it was a Northern saying but now hearing you use it Barbara, maybe not x
Never heard that saying before so actually thought Barbara knew it was Wills mother's house!!!! Oh dear, I will go and sit in the corner! 😉
Being from Derbyshire my father in law used to say ' It's black o'er Bill's Motha's' I'd never heard the saying before, so wondered how he expected me to know who Bill was, never mind where his Motha lived! lol Oh the innocence of youth!
Donna, I will have to join you in the corner! That's what I thought too… It's def not a Scottish expression!
Me too Donna. Never heard that saying before.x
Waiting in great anticipation; greatly admire Dee's Clarity examples as they are always so different. BarbDee collaboration – Fabbo! ;~}
Hi Shelagh, are you warmer and dryer today? Xx
Hi Donna,
Leak found and fixed; carpets and underlay ready for the dump. Heating on. Floorboards drying out. Next job – finding how far water has crept into my craft room next door, needs a good clear out anyway! Many thanks for your concern! I appreciate it! ;~}
Good to hear your leak has been fixed, fingers crossed your craft room hasn't been too badly damaged! XX
Hi Shelagh glad you got the leek fixed hope the damage is minimal and your soon back to normal xxx
Many thanks, Sheila. Time to de-clutter and get rid, I think. ;~}
sounds like a fabulous day

Beautiful day good to catch up on memories xxx
Was a lovely day today glad you were able to make the most of it. Especially spending time with Dee, very talented lady. I watched her at the Open Day, wonderful. What are you plotting now. We have plans to alter our small bedroom so I have more craft space, looks like I might need it. xx
What a lovely day. The plans sound fun. Looking forward to the big reveal. Enjoy your weekend xx
A lovely day to catch up with friends and Bognor looks great. Our nearest pier is Hastings and is much loved and currently being refurbished after the fire. It was a bit touch and go though.
Look forward to the revelation. Carol
So pleased you had a lovely day with Dee. It's so rewarding to catch up with good friends. I am intrigued-what are you crafty girls planning?
X Chris
Glad you had such a good day! A day with a good friend, and future crafty plans, fantastic! Looking forward to hearing the plans. X
Glad you had a lovely day with Dee and such lovely sunshine, not much sun here today. Waiting to hear the outcome of your crafty discussions too, the plot thickens! x
I haven't heard that expression for ages, my Mum used to say it a lot, when I was a child I used to think she was talking about my uncle Bill's mum! Looking forward to seeing what you two are hatching
Linda
I had a walk and lunch last Friday at Bognor it was lovely the cafe got second place in the local area.
Glad you had a good day. X
Sounds like you had an enjoyable time with Dee, lovely sunshine too. It is a shame that the council's let our piers go into disrepair, should have a fund for them all. Have 3 near us, Clevedon that was restored quite a few years ago, and two at Weston-super-mare, one burnt down and was restored about 8 years ago, the other one is a wreck. Such a shame. Put my order in this morning by the sounds of your plan with Dee may be even more temptation for us all.xx
Morning Barbara great to see you getting a wee break away with your friend she looks like a fun girl as well as being a great crafter can't wait to see what you both have came up with. P.S its black over Dots hoose this morning but its going to be groovi inside….take care ..xx
Morning Diane …..xx
Have fun getting groovi Dot! Xx
Hi Barbara looked as though you had a brill day
Love Dee's work she's clever
Love to Dave xxxxxx
Hi Barbara, glad you had such a beautiful day with Dee. I used to go there as a child and loved it!
Can't wait to see what comes next……xx
Hello Barb, so lovely to have a day with a good friend. Great pictures. Dee and you are both incredibly talented ladies, looking forward to seeing what you are bringing us. Have a great day. Bx
Hi Barbara,
Glad to see you both having fun. Fun is good. Not sure I'll get much crafting done this weekend. Hubby gave me quite a scare on Thursday. I couldn't help thinking of you & Dave as we sat waiting for answers in hospital. This time we've been lucky & got answers within 24 hours thanks to our super nhs. The clots in his lungs will be sorted with medication so for now he's learning to slow down (but not too slow!) & managing the pain. I think our groovi kit will get well used in the next few weeks! I really hope you both get your answers & solutions soon. Hugs from the two of us xxxx
Looks like a lovely day was had 🙂
Peter had never heard of "over Will's Mum's" and I must admit I thought it was something that my Nan had made up! We grew up with that saying, and it still makes me smile – I can hear both my Nan & Mum saying it…..does anyone have any idea who Will was???
Have a lovely evening all, Carole xxx
How did I miss this what a lovely day by the sea. How exciting more wonderful creations from our Dee to come cannot wait. Back to making me canvas haven't got geese so see who I can use xxx
Dee, Barbara and Bognor, what's not to love?
