Wotten if you’re widing a motorbike.
No good using an umbwella either.

How about a short, sweet piece using a shaving foam scrrrrap
which sums tonight up…
I’ve only got 10 minutes, so start the clock!
Eeny meeny miny mo…
Here’s Paul Church
battling through Tunbridge Wells this evening,
just to come and help me get ready for the TV shows this weekend!
What a guy!!!
Wet. Weally wet on awwival.
Tunbridge Wells train station flooded.
A river outside.
Nice and dry in here though…
I remember Sam Crowe doing this trick once with the lamppost.
Brilliant.
Just bend it on the mount and stamp it.
Trimmed it right back…
Black Sharpie Pen round the edge.
Mount it on another matching piece.
If you were writing a caption for this one,
what do you think he would be saying?
Tell us below what your caption would say, and I’ll add a winner.
Then send the winner the card!
Oh! And a £20 Gift Voucher of course!
I love these stamps!
If you buy this set, we’ll send you the Lamppost FREE
Captions please!
I need a laugh….

Love the idea of the bent lamp post. My caption would be:

Hi Barbara,
my caption would be…'heard about the tornado in Kent today…I was there!'
Love it! "That'll be Gray bending over backwards again to keep everyone happy! Amazed she hasn't snapped!" Though I think the phrase that comes with this set is very apt right now! lots of love. x

Hi, Barbara, can't wait for Thursday. Been away this weekend and had no tinternet access, so, have only just caught up with the blogs. Oh it looks great and nice to see Paul. Think the caption is: "where's the bloody dog gone!" Xx
LOL! Your caption made me laugh out loud and spray a mouthful of tea in the cat's direction. She is less than amused. Poor puss!
Jane 🙂
Well done Angie, you have won and I have to say that both Den and I have just cracked up with your caption too. Made us both laugh out loud.
Big hugs Pen x

Fab card Barb. "Rain? Wind? – Oh you mean Summer!!!"

Hi Barbara
Oh these comments are great – I hope you are having a giggle.
I think Paul is saying " just pop round to give me a hand She said, weathers lovely she said, we'll have a BBQ! She shouldn't have said the word BBQ !"
Hope you're not getting too stressed and your neck is holding up.
Love Diane G xxx
"Blooming wind! Glad I stuck my hat on with superglue!"
Great card, hope your prep went well. Hope Paul managed to row home before it got too dark. Xx
My first thought for a caption was "### ####'# ####". My mum would be so disappointed!
Evening Brenda, hope the weather has been kind to you today. Xx
Caption – "I really shouldn't have had that last drink!"
Thank you to everyone who commisorated with me last evening about my bug on my anniversary and please, please accept my apologies for being so miserable. Really in the true sense of the world – it is/was a bug. Nothing compared to the tragedy/ies of today's world. I feel really bad for moaning. I will endeavour to be mindful and publish positive thoughts whatever the weather or what the body is doing or not doing!
Here's to a great blog week with the great Gray
Best wishes, love and hugs and kisses – germ free
Anne (Reading)
Hope you are feeling better today Anne
Great card. My caption would be "It's a tad windy out here but my Barbara needs some milk for her tea and I would bend over backwards for my dear wife."

Bad case of wind…xx
Hurricane….what hurricane? It's just a bit of a breeze! Xxx
Nice quickie lol. My idea for a funny caption would be something like " well blow me down……..well not literally" or " your love or your artwork blows me away" x
My caption: Oh man, it's going to be another one of those days. I love the cars and the stamps. I could have used them after the non-stop rains we had in New Port Richey, Florida last Month!!
'Paul must have got to Clarity Towers double quick with the wind behind him like that'
Linda
Blimey, I know the label said this brolly was good but it even bends lampposts, wait til I try it on that parking meter. Karen xxx.
"Under my umbrella—- No chance! " Lovely piece of art, hope you got demo's prepped. xx
Hi Barbara
You make the loveliest things. I love silhouette stamps.
" Who said the wind will be worse in the northern part of the British Isles?"
X Chris
Here we go again, Toto!
Silly I know but my 1st thought was…..Ethel you've air con set a bit high….It's amazing what you come up with what most of us would throw away as rubbish scraps. Mental note……don't throw anything away. Xxxxx
Shows???? That indicates more than one. Interesting!!! Love that card and the way you have used those bits and pieces again. "This umbrella makes it easier to get in the car, you know"
There actually is a new kind of umbrella that folds up that way to allow you to get in and out of cars and doors in general.
Looking forward to that show or those shows. What haven't you told us yet?
Take care. xxxx Maggie
Storm? No! It must be a multi-coloured Gray Day!
"Dave was having trouble with wind again"
Love it x
Great card…really clever with the bent lamppost. My caption would be ……Good grief I've heard of spoon bending but that's incredible…..Perhaps Gray has been at it again 🙂 x
Meet me under the lamppost she said, no chance!!
Lovely card x

What a great image on that shaving foam background Barbara and the lamppost bent over at that angle and poor Paul battling to reach you, this would be my caption.
OMG what a night, with the elements did fight,
And oh such a mishap, my umbrella did snap,
But to Barb's I must go, to help with the show.
What a trouper!
Really looking forward to Thursday. x
What a great card and good luck for Thursday! My caption would be "I was leaning on that there lamppost when I saw here coming and the blooming hurricane came and took her right past me and bent the blooming lamppost" it took all my stranth to hold on to me brolly.
Testing
The North Wind Doth Blow,
Well what do you know
It migrated South today
So while we had Sun
The Storm had begun
Over the house of Barbara Gray!
So she got out her Brolly
The one that she drew
And went slightly off her trolley!!!
Between me and you!!!!!
But a Blog she had to write
Not in the Day and not tomorrow
But here, right now, tonight !
So she started a search
For her Old Mate Paul Church
And the odd Arty scrap or two
And from under the Debri, the Paint and the Glue,
The Brayer and the Groovi Plate too
Up he did Pop and he said not a jot except for the word
BOOO !
So she asked for a caption
To make her LOL
Well that I cannot do
But I have been known
In the time I have grown
To write a stupid poem or two!!!
Luv ya more! Xxx
Looking forward to you on TV again especially the Groovi . Caption is " I'll huff and I'll puff till I blow your Church down"
Hi Barbara, this is great and fun, thanks for sharing. Note to self – next time I have a shaving foam session remember less is most definitely more!!! Thanks for enlightening me as to where I went wrong!!!
For my caption what about –
Practising for my holiday to Scotlaaaaaaaaa
Well we have been given the title of windiest country in Europe! It hasn't been windy or wet here today, no doubt it will be heading out way though!!! Hope your prepping is going well, glad you've got help. Paul seems to be such a lovely guy and a great friend and help to you. Hope you and Dave are managing some chill time too. Love Brenda xx
Ah, Brenda, you made me laugh! Great caption. Though perhaps it can only be truly appreciably by another Scot who battled such wind and weather for decades and then gave up and moved down south! (Sorry, I'm a wimp! 🙂 xx
'It was on days like this Dave wished he'd listened to the weather report'
Great picture – sometimes the simple ones are the best !
Much love
Kim xx
Hello Barb, super artwork, great stamp set, looks like Paul is all systems go. My caption would have to be;
"Just my luck, I had to walk, as the wife needed the car!"
Hope you had fund with the prepping. Take care. Bx
Another of the stamps I purchased at the Retreat and I have it here with me, sadly not the lamppost though but will try this with the more curvaceous one!
You have enlisted a great helper in Paul! I can just imagine the buzz in the House of Clarity in the run up to Thursday.
As for a caption:-
. . . and they forecast a heatwave?
No wonder the Met Office lost the Beeb contract!
S. ;~}
Yet another stunning card Barbara looking forward to seeing you on the new craft channel on Thursday.
My caption would be " Ok own up who has been over doing the baked beans again"
a great day for blowing the cobwebs of our crafty thoughts !

Great image, and my caption would be "Thank God for these lead boots!" – well done Paul for battling the elements to give you a hand X
It would be quite warm, if the wind dropped.xx
Hi Barbara, l love it. My caption would be…
Well I be blown, if it isn't the state of my head right now.
Love to you both.
Lee mckenzie
Well, I'll be blowed
All the best. Raye Adams.
"Barb you can put the leaf blower down now – there's only me and the lamp post left in our garden and the leaves are likely to be somewhere over the channel"

Into our craft rooms
That's for sure .

Bit windy over here ! " You need a new brella fella !" xx
The answer my friend is blowing in the wind……..
Love the card. My caption would be "The band might be splitting up but the wind's still blowing in one direction. x
Hi Barbara, just catching up on your blog, been away with no WiFi. Super simple card very appropriate with this weather. Have to tell you this, we were camping in a field only the other day, sun shining so we decided to have a barbi. Just finishing off when the rain started, my hubby was holding the umbrella over the barbi and my son who was doing the cooking, when the wind blew up gale force, the caravan windows were open wide so hubby ran to shut them, left me holding the umbrella it nearly took off & blew inside out. My 9 yr old Grandson grabbed hold of me and was telling everyone on the site that he'd rescued me from a fate worse than death. It was so funny & so in tune with your card. xx
My contribution to the caption is:
Bl–dy rubbish weathermen, when will they get it right. Should have put cement in my boots this morning.
