Sazzles frazzled! xxx

Sazzles frazzled! xxx

Hi there.
Thanks for popping in.
Friday’s blog a private peek, right?
Well, I’m sure you have heard me mention
my friend Sazz, or Sally-Ann Hanes, or Sally.
She responds to lots of names mostly!
Anyway, not only is she a cherished member
of the Clarity Design Team;
she also runs the Clarity Challenge Blog,
AND is our regional tutor for Clarity Crafters East Midlands
and Clarity Crafters Nottingham.
All that in addition to working full time
and keeping Mark, her fiancé, on his toes.
Well, when we got back from France the week before last,
she had a bad turn.
God knows what got her.
Must have been all that French ice-cream and sun…
She went downhill steadily during the week,
and ended up being admitted into hospital on Monday.
Very poorly bunny.
However, after a couple of days on drips and all sorts,
she started coming back to life.
AND
the first word she whispered,
as soon as she was able to, was….
Groovi.
Groovi
Groovi
Groovi
So, they brought her Groovi stash to the hospital
in her Groovi Stash Box.
And she was happy.
  Bless her.
She was in isolation and certainly wasn’t allowed home,
so she got stuck into the groove.

and stayed there for 3 days!

That’s something I hadn’t even thought about!
Of course, when you’re in hospital,
Groovi Art is perfect.
No ink, no mess.
Just a clean acrylic plate or 10 – and a couple of ball tools!!
Time to address the NHS !!!
Mark was happy to get his girl back, too.
And I am happy, very happy to report,
that she has just arrived home this evening.
Fragile, but back in her own bed.
Sally, you had us all worried there!
So from myself, Dave, the Clarity Crew and all of us in Blogland
GET WELL SOON!!!!
love and hugs,

PS.
I have a BIG BIRTHDAY to announce too…

Raye Adams is 90 today!
Hope you had a super duper day.
Happy Birthday Raye!

  5. Hi Barbara
So sorry to hear that Sally has been ill. I can understand why she wanted her Groovi to keep her company in hospital. My Groovi arrived today and I was soon lost in the groove. You are right Barbara-it is so therapeutic. I embossed the butterfly in her circle and surrounded her with the sprig pattern. I will add a border later and try one of Emma Burns lovely corner ideas (thank you Emma) to mount it. It took me about 30 minutes and I felt so relaxed afterwards. Thank you for designing this brilliant system. It is just AMAZING.
    Hugs from Chris x

  6. So glad to hear that Sazz is safely back home and recovering. The Groovi system is perfect for those times when you cannot make an inky mess. I took my parchment kit (pre Groovi) with me when I stayed in a very posh B&B last year, knowing I would not be doing any damage to the beautiful furnishings, but still having fun. As you say, the NHS needs to know about this. I bet Sazz recovered faster for having hers with her to occupy her mind and her hands. Get better soon, Sazz. xxxx Maggie

  7. So glad she is on the mend, a lovely person. Just shows how quickly we can go downhill. Great to see her with her Groovi plate will be so relaxing for her. I have joined her Clarity Nottingham group and she put me at ease so quickly the first time, I love going now. So get well soon Sazz but take it easy. xx

  8. Sounds like a frightening episode. All the best to Sally for a continued recovery. How nice that the Groovi could rise to the occasion.

  9. sorry to hear Sazzle was unwell. glad she is back home and well now. i don't think the nhs will buy into groovi somehow. if it helps and makes people better then it won't be necessary….. hugs xx

  10. So sorry to hear Sally has been so poorly – how scary it can happen so fast! She was so lovely when I spoke to her at Crowborough recently. Glad she is on the mend, and how lovely to have her groovi stash in hospital – they can be such soul destroying places, sure having something productive to do helps to deal with it.

Sending all my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

  11. Glad to hear that Sazz is back home. She will be missed at the Clarity Nottingham workshop tomorrow, but health has to come first.

Sending hugs to everyone and hope Sazz is soon feeling 100%

  12. My Groovi arrived yesterday, having got stuck at the post office, so less than a week after I ordered it, so very happy. I was so excited, could not wait to try it out and got stuck in. I'm with Sally all the way, I loved it, although must go buy those tumble dryer sheets tomorrow. I had so much fun, following the grooves, colouring in, making a little frame. Was supposed to be doing something else but what the check, husband had no tea ready when he got back again. Good job he knows it's not another man I'm obsessed with. Anyway as you've all said, it was completely relaxing, so my prescription for Sally would definitely be keep taking the Groovi train for the next few days under doctors orders. Get well soon. Barbara, Groovi will be on prescription soon if anyone has any sense, better than any anti-depressant.

  13. Sorry to hear this and glad to know Sally is back home – nothing like your own bed! That is what I like, about the groovi plate mate you can use it on a lap tray sat in an armchair too! I reckon it would be good for it to be on prescription! X

  14. Sazzle, so sorry you have been unwell but delighted to read you are recovering, All the better for being at home. We have never met but you were so kind and helpful when I was setting up my Challenge DT blog. A bit of Groovi recuperation won't go amiss. ;~}

  15. Hi Barbara
Thank you for letting us know poor Sally has been so ill, glad to hear you are home Sally and on the mend. Lots of rest and Groovi for you my sweet. Happy birthday to Raye too, 90 years young eh. Hope you have had a wonderful day, in fact at 90 I'm sure your birthday can last for at least a week! Xxx

  16. Ill health can strike out of the blue but so pleased you are recovering Sally and safely at home in your own bed. Were the nurses interested in what you were doing with 'Groovi'? Should be available on prescription.

  17. Sorry to hear how poorly you've been, Sally. Really pleased to hear that you're well enough to return home and hopefully they've identified the cause. Thanks for the cracking getting job you do on the Clarity Challenge blog. Sleep well in your own bed tonight. Love Jeanette
Ps Groovi is the perfect take anywhere craft kit for the beginner to experienced crafter it works across all levels with stunning results every time x

  18. So sorry you were struck down with something nasty Sally but glad you are now beginning to feel better again, and that the Groovi had its part to play in your recovery. Happy Birthday to Raye at 90 too. x

  19. So pleased you are on the mend Sally and what a great idea of groovi in hospital….. Happy birthday to Raye.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  20. So very relieved to read Sally – Ann is feeling better and is back home, it's the power of the Groovi. Take care and get well soon xx

    Happy 9th Birthday Raye xx

  21. So frightening for you & Mark, glad to hear you are on the mend Sally. Take time to recover thoroughly. Best wishes to you both xx

  22. Hi Barb,
So sorry to hear that Sazzle was struck down with something nasty- must have been quite frightening I expect. However, really pleased that she is on way to recovery and back home. I'm sure that Groovi helped her as it is so relaxing and de-stressing which really is what you need in hospital.i definitely think it should be on the NHS ( so does my bank manager) as I now qualify for free prescriptions!!! Take care Sazzle and just take things steady and keep in the Groove. Love Alison xx
Ps Happy 90 th Raye, hope you had a lovely day xx

  23. Get well soon Sally, just come out of hospital myself, so I know the lack of energy feeling, while you gently recover! lol.
Happy Birthday to Raye too, and I love the last pic! Where do you find them?

  24. So sorry to hear that Sazz has been so unwell, but I'm glad she's home and hope her recovery continues. I would think that the Groovi system is perfect for hospitals and nursing homes, as it's also wipe clean and easy enough for children to do too. Maybe you should ask some mental health OTs to try the system with patients as part of a clinical trial, and if it saves enough money on prescriptions they could buy wholesale from you!!! Shame I'm not in a position to put a proposal together any more Barbara – mind you I might know people that are if you're interested… Happy 90th Birthday to Raye. Susan x

  25. Well Sally that certainly has been a rather dramatic way to get a few days in bed! So glad to hear you are back home, where i'm certain you will be getting very well looked after! (not at all suggesting that you weren't looked after in hospital tho!)
Rest well & i really hope you are soon feeling back to 100%

  26. Happy birthday Rayer x so pleased to here are wonderful Sazz is home been a worrying week for us all so pleased her groovi plate has helped her through know rest up Sazz we need you well again big healing hugs Joy xxx
