YouTube Tuesday – make a lasting impression – on Canvas Board!
Hi there!
Thanks for popping in on YouTube Tuesday!
Hereβs a new trick which I figured out recently,
where you actually run a canvas board
through your embossing machine
and actually etch a stencil image into it.
Very, very cool.
You need a beefy 350 Micron Stencil to do this;
one that will leave an impression.
Like Claritystencils!
Here are a few of our other stencil designs
which I think would work brilliantly….
With this one, you would ink up the BACK of the writing,
so the BACK of the stencil.
Get it?
and many, many more…

Time to put the kettle on and sit back with my note book for a Clarity treat. Thank you xx
Well I really enjoyed that! A great tutorial. I've not been brave enough to use canvas yet but this is a great introduction for a beginner. It's also a technique that you can develop as your experience grows. I love how your products compliment each other in a wide variety of ways. Thank you for another great tutorial. Xx
Brilliant Barbara, I loved those 2 pieces when you showed them to us π I enjoyed watching that, and when I get brave enough to try canvasses, I will use this to have a go. Thank you.
My order from your sale came this morning. Struggling to keep my eyes open, I sat in bed opening it, and what do I see jumping out at me on top of the foam bits, a wee rose stamp in a wee packet saying – from us to you to brighten your day. Barbara, what a lovely thing to do for us, very kind and generous, and what a lovely sentiment. I didn't even spend that much money on my order! I still have a smile on my face and a warm feeling inside :-). So thank you very much Barbara and all at Clarity. No other company that I have come across has ever done anything like this :-). Genuinely, you are the most kindest and generous, lovely person I have ever met π
This truly is like a giant family, a very good one – loads of ups, some downs, food for thought, friendly caring people, support for those of us who struggle, a helping hand when stuck with a crafty /arty thing, and random acts of kindness just because π And you Barbara, the matriarch π I don't like using that word, it sounds scary, but there is nothing scary about you Barbara, and that's a huge thing for me to say about any person π
Thank you, from my heart, for being you and all that give to us each and every day, and for allowing me to be and feel part of this huge extended Clarity family, love Brenda xx
Out all day so commenting late today. I agree with your comment, it is nice to feel part of Barbara's crafting community. Xx

Hope you have had a lovely day Anne x
Happy birthday Anne hope you have had a wonderful day xxx
Hi Barb,
Love today's you tube Tuesday demo – one thing though – how long does the archival ink stay wet on the stencils and how do you clean if off them (doesn't it do them harm)?
Beverley xxxx
The Archival stays wet long enough to actually do two canvases. As for cleaning, I use Blending Solution on the stencils and stamps . This brings them back like new. X
Wow that was brilliant,,, thanks for sharing,.
Hi Barbara going to have to save your you tubes up for now till I get back in my bungalow looking forward to this one especially as your using the canvas boards and e bosser as I fancy having a go with a canvas patiently awaiting going home role on May happy crafting xxx
Lovely lovely demo – thanks Barbara. Can't wait to have a go xx
Hi a Barb,
Absolutely brilliant. – thanks for risking your e Bosser for us! Love the technique and the finished piece of art is lovely. I really enjoy working with the fresco chalk paints. – nicer than ordinary acrylics in my opinion. Just finished a card using paints for the background then the funky foliage stamp coloured in with the paints and the clear out a corner of your mind stap. I was well impressed with the finished card! Even my hubbie Dave said it was lovely. As a result, I've just ordered another 8 colours! Going to attempt a canvas next when they arrive! Love Alison xxx
Great technique and really useful video tutorial Barbara – thanks very much! Hope you're recovering from your busy weekend, and that you were energised and refreshed by your walk yesterday. I have some of these canvases – now I need to take them out of the box and use them!!! Susan x
Hello Barb, great video, great idea, as well as great image. I don't have an Ebosser (may get shot if I order one!), but am going to give it a go with my GC. Love the vintage colours, and don't have the Fresco paints, but will try with others. My Hubs was also enjoying the recorded shows. Take care. Bx
Hi Barbara

I'm sure I have some canvas boards somewhere, so will give this a go with my Bigshot. (Always assuming I find the canvas boards! π Thank you Barbara.

Great video, those paints are a must, well I do have a birthday this month so will definitely be trying this technique. Thanks as always for your inspiration x
Hi Barb,
Another fantastic technique from you. I'll have to try this with the ordinary acrylics until I can get the new ones. Will be playing this week in my craft room, and will hopefully get to see rhe videos of Sunday's shows as our granddaughters go on holiday tomorrow!

This is a great technique and another way to use your stencils. I like things that have more than one way to use them. Will have to give this a go. Thanks Melanie
