We have a winner!

We have a winner!

Happy Monday!
Thanks for stopping by.
Monday’s blog is Flowers and trees,
so I shall kill two birds with one stone
(if you’ll pardon the expression)
and finish that project I asked you kindly to guess the end of.
Remember the lovely round one?
So many of you emailed in your step by steps – it was fab.
But one lady really nailed it.
And I mean down to the colour Distress Pens used!
So here is the complete project, using the new Landscape stamp which we call Napa Valley.
It comes complete with  a Stencil framer too.
So this time, let’s take it from the top…
Stamp the Stampscape Napa Valley in Black Archival
on Gelli Card.
Colour in with Distress Pens.
We sell the whole Collection. Quite an investment,
but well worth it.
Here are the colours I used:
Now dust with Talc, so that when we emboss the piece, the embossing powder doesn’t cling.
Next thing you need is a Versamark Pen.
Now this is one pen you really should have in your stash!
Basically, it’s the Versamark Pad in a pen!
Get rid of the excess powder and heat set from underneath.

Do this as many times as you need to make a beautiful glaze.
Using the wavy side of the blending mat, tear hills.
Cut the artwork down a little.

Place a moon in the sky
and brush some Cloudy Blue into place
with one of our Stencil Brushes.
You can simply wipe the ink off the glazed picture.

Flip the copy paper and extend the hills using

Slowly slowly, catchee monkee…

Run a black Sharpie around all four sides.
Then go hunt for a lovely piece of Shaving foam art
which matches perfectly!

Pretty straightforward really!

Many thanks everybody who had a go and
worked out a way forward.
Some of the paths you took me down were fabulous!
I wished I had thought of them!!

But dear Pam Gantley.
You nailed it absolutely.
Very very well thought through!
So a £50 Gift Voucher is on its way to you Pam!
Now my friends.
Tomorrow is a special YouTube Tuesday.
Somebody very dear to my heart is going to talk to you.
I hope you find the time to listen.
much love,

  1. Congratulations Pam. Well done! This looks really lovely Barbara, will have to stock up on embossing powder before I can give it a go and of course I have to buy the stamp too. lol Will be watching out for the YouTube xx

  2. Congratulations, Pam. Really clever. And lovely result, Barbara. Each stage stands up beautifully on its own; main image, extended sides and background, and together they are wonderful. Look forward to tomorrow.

  3. Hi Barb,
Saw you do this on yesterday's show and loved it, but I'm so glad you've given us the step by steps. Finished piece of artwork is stunning. This is yet another must have! Looking forward to tomorrow's YouTube, I have an idea of who you are talking about. Congratulations to Pam – very well done and enjoy spending your voucher. Love Alisob xx

  4. Congratulations Pam! The card looks fab, Barbara and the shaving foam background sets it off perfectly. Will be waiting in anticipation for tomorrow's You-Tube video. Have a nice evening xx

  5. Congratulations Pam! Great artwork Barbara, looking forward to giving this a go – didn't have time before. Enjoyed yesterday's shows, lots of inspiration. Looking forward to tomorrow's You Tube installment. xx

  6. Great blog and well done to Pam. PLEASE can you or anyone help! I spent all afternoon trying to put stencils through my e-bosser. I used all the plates and the metalic shim and ended up with nothing only a vague imprint. I next tried all the plates, metallic shim and embossing mat. I got a result – the paper stuck to the embossing mat and the A plate! What a mess and such frustration. I tried geli card, theuva card, cheap rubbish card. Not getting there. I realise it is me doing something incorrect. I would be so grateful for the right formula. I am trying to make a Valentine's card. (I used the 4 heart stencil firstly and then tried with the scattered leaves sencil.
    Best wishes with hope
    Anne (Reading)

  7. Many congrats to Pam.

Fabulous artwork, the shaving foam background is amazing and compliments your artwork beautifully. I feel a background making session coming on xx

  8. Hi Barbara. This is beautiful and congratulations to Pam, enjoy spending your voucher. Looking forward to you tube tomorrow. Take care. Love Diane xxx

  9. Lovely piece of art. One would be forgiven for thinking the shaving foam background was made especially for it. The blue looks like a summer sky with fluffy clouds. I must have another go with shaving foam. Wasn't too impressed with mine when i tried it.

Thank you all for the congratulations. I was so shocked to win. Can't wait to see who drops in tomorrow.

  10. Hello Barb, the finished artwork is stunning, it almost looks like you did the stamp to match the background. Well done Pam on thinking it through. Can't wait to see who is on youtube today. Have a good day everyone and stay warm, take care if you are in snowy areas. Bx

  11. Hallo liebe Barbara,

  12. Well done to Pam for the detective work and also for getting into your mind Barbara!. I might have had a go if this weekend hadn't been so busy but I don't think I would have got all that so accurately so Pam is very clever. x
