Twas the Night No. 1 Shoe in Blue.

Twas the Night No. 1 Shoe in Blue.

Hello there!
Thanks for stopping by.
Thursday’s blog is always blue, so here’s a little Christmas number I did recently on TV, using one of the Twas the Night Stamps.
No. 1, in fact. There are 10 altogether. Let’s just call it a work in progress, which I am drawing as and when I get time!
Speaking of which, I must get a wriggle on, because it’s the Big Ally Pally London Show this weekend, and there is a LOT to do!!
Starting with a blank piece of A5 Theuvacard
This one really isn’t very hard.

You stamp the shoe in black in the middle,
then on a Post-It. Cut it out with no fiddle.

Load up your brushes with Juniper and Light Blue,
Dust over the mask to give a soft hue.

Then stamp up the snowflakes in the same blue and green
From the top to the bottom, as here can be seen.

Add the Mice in the Crescent and Happy Christmas in black
And you may want to trim the artwork back.

Then mount your art on a matching blue;
if you have a cool green, then use that too.

Shade in the shoe with your Spectrum Noir pencils;
you really should add these to your utensils!

So there it is, not hard at all.
A faux box for the centre – what goes in it’s
YOUR call!
If you like our Twas the Night Collection
You can buy just one or the whole selection!
Clearly there is a special price.
You save over £25, which is very nice.
But now I must stop with this dappy ditty,
But you have to agree the stamps are so pretty!!!
lots of love,
Barb

Maybe now I can try this and they will look as good as yours (although I doubt it! Lol. Love the ditty – bet it took you longer to make everything rhyme than it did to make the card eh??? Lol Have a great Ally Pally but don't work too hard. Look after that neck. xxxxx

  3. Thanks for putting a smile on my face once again. Smiled because of the cute card that is such a great template for other stamps too and giggled at your little ditty. Have Dave's bag pipes got to you already?
Hope Ally Pally doesn't tire you out too much. Used to love going there when I lived in Kent xx

  15. Hi Barbara. This stamp is on my wish list, it's a lovely one suitable for everyone. Love the little snowflake stamp with it too. Not going to make it to ally pally this year unfortunately but I hope it goes well for you, try to get some rest if you can , or at least sit down once in a while!!! I'm sure it will be a huge success . Oh my goodness has Dave acquired bagpipes? Emma's are still sat in the lounge waiting to be seasoned (stuff has now arrived with bungs!) but the chanter ha gone upstairs to the bedroom to be tried ! Take care. Love Diane xxxx

  16. So she stamps and creates
With and with out a gelli plate
    Her amazing pieces of art
Help us know where to start
    But now she's a poet
    I should of known it
    Creative to the core
    We want more and more
    So dear Barbara Grey
Thanks for making my day xxxx
