And we’re still in full birthday celebration mode here at Clarity! So today we’ve got another brand new collection to share with you as part of the festivities.

Yesterday we took a closer look at our new Vintage Christmas Papers. And if you spotted all those lovely little characters popping up in the artwork, well, today is their turn.

Let me introduce you properly to our new Vintage Children Stamp & Mask Sets.

And would you believe the whole collection started with a tattoo?! At our Open Days earlier this year, I spotted a tattoo on a customer’s arm. It read:

“Though she be but little, she is fierce.”

I loved it. It stayed with me long after the Open Days were over. The words conjured up an image in my head of a feisty little girl — small but mighty, standing there with her hands on her hips and plenty of attitude!

And that little seed of an idea grew…

Before long, one little girl had turned into a whole collection of vintage children, each with their own character and personality.

And here’s another lovely thing about them. All the quote sentiments in the collection come from Shakespeare.

There are some cracking words there, aren’t there? Written hundreds of years ago, yet they still speak to us today.

And to make life even easier, we’ve put together two packs of Colouring Cards to go with the collection. The Tartan Frames Colouring Cards give you the lovely tartan frames ready printed, with a blank centre for you to stamp, draw or add whatever takes your fancy. Then there are the Vintage Children & Tartan Colouring Cards, where we’ve done even more of the work for you! These are already printed with the lovely children inside the tartan frames, ready for you to simply colour in and make your own. Two different starting points — depending on how much of the work you fancy doing yourself! ❤️

And now for the best bit — seeing what everybody has done with them! I love how different these samples all are. Some are warm and nostalgic, some bright and playful, some properly Christmassy, and others could be used all year round. Same little characters, same collection — but so many different directions you can take them in. That’s when you know you’ve got a really versatile set of stamps. I think that’s the real joy of these little characters. Just like our new cheeky animal stamps, there’s something about using them that simply makes you smile. And goodness knows, we could all do with a bit more of that, couldn’t we? You find yourself giving them personalities, choosing their clothes and colours, and before you know it you’re completely absorbed in their little world.
