Day 13 – Every Day Is A Chance To Create
Hi there. Day 13 already! And today’s affirmation really does sum up what this August Arty Challenge is all about: Every Day Is A Chance To Create. You don’t need a whole free afternoon, a perfectly tidy craft room or some brilliant idea before you begin. Sometimes twenty minutes is enough. Sit down, pick up a pen, a stamp, a brush – whatever takes your fancy – and just make something. It doesn’t have to be a masterpiece; in fact, it doesn’t even have to be good! The important bit is that you showed up and gave yourself that little pocket of creative time. And the more often we do that, the more naturally the ideas seem to flow. So here we are again. Day 13. What shall we make today? xxx

I remember learning how to make lino cuts so that we could create stamps in this wonderful style. And I have to say, I’m still so chuffed with how they turned out! There’s a whole range of them too – do have a look HERE. You know how yesterday’s affirmation was I Am Proud Of Myself? Well, these make me smile, because I remember learning the technique, working it out and then turning that idea into a whole collection of stamps. So yes, I’m just a little bit proud of myself for these! And that’s allowed, isn’t it? x

Time for another root through my stash to see what I’ve got.
I’m thoroughly enjoying these little snippets into the inky arty world. Such a great way to learn with plenty of scope for imagination.
I’ve somehow accumulated a huge stash of stamps, including 2 years of club ones, but, despite watching all your demos, tv shows, etc, never quite got round to using them, ( as an avid parcher) but these daily affirmation ideas have really helped me.
I still need lots of practise (and more card!) but am gaining confidence.
