25 Days To Christmas – Get your Nutcracker here!

25 Days To Christmas – Get your Nutcracker here!

Hi there

Remember when we drew our Nutcracker poster in the SHAC? Seems like an age ago! If you pop him in your basket today, you will catch him in the GRAY FRIDAY SALE, and get 30% off + club discount. And if you enjoy hot foiling, then rest assured – so do the Postcards!

The Stamp set is packed with loads of little elements too. From Sugar-plum fairies and candy canes to trees and tiny angels. And the man himself, of course!

Here are all the various products: stamps, Groovi plate and postcards.

CLICK HERE TO FIND. And don’t forget. If you’re a club member, then club discount is added too.

Lovely artwork to enjoy on this cold, sunny Sunday morning…

Last day of November today. That can only mean one thing…YEP it’s the first day of December tomorrow!

Christmas is a-coming now! Eeek! I shall go get the big old wreath out of storage – the one we hang on the front door. Tick that box! But that’ll have to do for today on the house decorating front!

I’ve got the SHAC at 10 tomorrow, and a 2pm SALE show on CLARITY TV, which I ought to prepare. Thank you for shopping with us!

One day at a time, one thing at a time. And let’s say this together: WORRY DOESN’T WORK. No amount of worrying is ever going to improve a situation, or get anything done faster! So have a cuppa, make a list – and breathe!! That was meant more for my benefit! But if you too are scrambling in your head, rest assured you’re never alone.

And do me a favour: just leave me a note below, to let me know you’re there. There’s a common school of thought that readers only respond to blogs when there’s a carrot, blog candy, as they call it. Please tell me that isn‘t so. That there’s more substance to this daily blog than that? Once the 100 day countdown is over, I was thinking I might keep going, now that I am back in the saddle, as it were. When Dad died, and I got ill, I also got pretty low. And I really couldn’t fake it to make it for a while. My MO is to retreat to the back of the cave, go within. So the blog was neglected, quite simply because I often couldn’t think of anything positive to write about. And once you break the routine, the habit, it”s difficult to get back into it. You understand. But this 100 day countdown to Christmas has given me the structure to write daily again. So now I just need a little encouragement if I’m honest, to keep going. I can do blog candy, and I do! But surely there’s more to this than that?

Love and Clarity,

Barb x x x

  1. Of course, it can be really difficult to fake it to make it! and I’m sure many of us also retreat to the back of the cave.
We are not alone and neither are you Barb.
Wreath on the door and tree up yesterday, but not with out plenty of tears.
Sending you big hugs! Thank you for another wonderful sale.
    ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  2. Barbara, rest assured I read your blog every day, it’s the highlight of the day for me. I don’t participate very often, if at all, but I love following you and your thoughts.

  3. I seem to do a lot more faking than making ! Thank you for your daily blog Barbara, I always look forward to reading them and appreciate the effort it takes to write them. Looking forward to another browse through the sale items later and then some quiet crafting xx

  4. I’m still reading (I’ve now got an Elton John earworm), appreciating, and understanding what you are writing about.
I’m a born worrier and it causes all sorts of health problems physically and mentally and I know that worrying the task/s ahead won’t them get them done they just get more muddled: and so I breaeaeath and sometimes it helps to get my logical brain back in gear.
Task in my dairy for next month – renew my club membership.
Thank you and see you Monday (homework’s done Miss).x

  5. Dear Barbara,
I do not often comment and I am sorry for that but I do read every time you post. I lost my mum and then dad six months later so I appreciate all too well the emptiness that leaves. Like you I hope I am resurfacing. Enjoy today and every day.
    Love,
    Linda xx

  6. I look forward to, read and love your blog every day. Afraid I rarely leave a comment though. You are so good to find the time to post every day and we all appreciate it. You’ve made me realise I should comment more often to let you know how much you are valued. Thanks for everything. xx

  7. I read your blog everyday as well. My day starts with reading it whilst I’m having my first cuppa of the day! Keep up the good work Barbara it brightens so many lives – especially when you give us a story to chuckle over. Dare I say have a great Christmas and here’s to many more of your daily blogs – regards. Ann x

  8. Look forward to reading your blog don’t think I’ve misses one since you started . Thanks for the sale couldn’t have come at better time as went to use light wave yesterday and it wouldn’t work so had to order new one and of course a few extra things fell in the basket xxxx

  9. Check and read the blog daily Barb (when you post). Sorry I don’t always comment but I do find it informative and interesting. You’re not alone in having a head full of thought, anxiousness and worry. Look up what the amygdala does and techniques of how to control it; it might help.

  10. I read every day but a few times lately when I’ve tried to post I get a message saying ‘oops! Webpage not found’. It’s difficult to be convinced that Christmas is near when it’s still November but we’ll light the first advent candle this evening.
Got to sort my car out first. After someone left me with damage and I sorted the insurance claim, I now have to start again as I hit a large rock coming out of a friend’s drive and pulled the sill off. I hope the insurance company are understanding.
Looking forward to the SHAC tomorrow. Xx

    1. I read your blog too Sarah but often in my phone and I have real problems commenting. I know it’s something I’m doing wrong but can’t work it out. Just thought I’d mention it

  11. Aawwwww bless you lovely lady. I am always here with you and read every single blog whether it’s a step by step or a general banter or the letting off of a bit of steam. This ere blog makes my day xxxx

  12. Hi Barb, your Blog is such a spirit lifter, as is the SHAC. I am sorry that recently I may have been physically ever present but not so much chat wise. My plan for the New Year is less faking it and more making it! The festive Open Days and Workshop gave my creative Mojo a much needed big boost! I always said the Open Days are the best medicine for all sorts of “ailments”.
Looking forward to trying to crack your cryptic clues from tomorrow in this year’s “Treasure Hunt”!
I “somehow” managed to pop in a little Gray Friday order yesterday – a little retail therapy can lift the spirits too! 🤣
Thanks Barb, see you in the SHAC in December! 😄👍🏻🎅

  13. I always read and enjoy your blog. I don’t tend to comment but that’s just the way I interact with social media – there’s nothing on my Facebook page!!
I do try and remember to share my makes and I’ve been lucky enough to be featured on Saturday share a few times which makes my day 😊
Thanks for everything you and the team at Clarity do x

  14. Thank you for your blogs and all you do with the Shac and keeping us motivated.

Sorry I also don’t comment much. I do prefer hiding in the background!

Feel your pain having lost my father this year and mum many years ago. I’m also a constant worrier so “get it”.
Be kind to yourself and try and pace yourself as we all (selfishly) want you to carry on forever. Thanks again for all you do and remember how everyone was and still is behind you from getting your Royal Garden Party invite. You’re an inspiration to so many and so kind, generous and caring with it. Xx

  15. oh Barbara, it’s so lovely to read your bogs. I do comment occasionally. at present I’m sitting in hospital waiting to hear if I’m going to have a major op ony back!!! Thoughts of Christmas etc are the last thing on my mind at the mo! back to..one day at a time!!! Hoping to look at the sale later and hoping I don’t spend too much!🤣🤣🤣. love your blogs. xxxx

  16. I always read your blog, although it’s sometimes late at night, and I do try to leave a comment most days. I can also go back and read a random blog, on days when there wasn’t one, and thoroughly understand if you hadn’t done a blog, whatever the reason. I had a strange day yesterday, woke up, raring to go, housework a calling, then spent most of the day quite teary, although my new coloured polychromos arrived, so that helped cheer me up, though tears were never far away. Not done my homework yet, will do later, promise. xxx

  17. Read every blog sometimes if it’s on my phone it won’t let me comment always find it easier on the iPad. But I do try…. I know some folk use the phone for every thing but I’m it sure if it’s my fading eyesight or clumsy fingers or just tech issues that make me want a bigger screen

  18. Hi Barbara, I read & 99.9% post a comment 😂every time a new blog appears. I don’t wait for the email or FB notification as its part of my morning routine to check. If there is nothing there I check later !!
I always feel that you have taken the time out of your busy day to post so it is only right to add a reply although I sometimes get carried away & it is always much longer than I thought when it appears on the page.
Back in September I really thought we would have moved by now so all our Christmas stuff is packed away & our surplus to requirement decorations have been donated to the Church for their Christmas Fayre. We are going to our daughters for the Christmas holidays so do I hunt out the boxes to put some Christmas decorations in the front window so neighbours don’t think we have forgotten or just leave them packed – decisions decisions !!
See you tomorrow in the SHAC – my homework is top of my to do list for today. I love a list & the ticks when they are done xx

  19. Hi Barb, I read your blog every day and would feel lost without
it, keeps me going and feel more positive. The last few years
have been tough, I lost my Dad, my husband and my sister,
such sad circumstances for her. I keep busy and try to look
after myself with help from friends and neighbours. The world
of crafting and Clarity are great, so a huge thanks to you and
your team, such hard work. Take care, Jane xx❤️

  20. I look forward to and read your blog everyday, Barb. Thank you so much for all you do for the Clarity community. Your advice to do some crafting when things all get a bit too much has been so helpful to me. It really does work, so thanks again. xxxxxx
