Thursday’s blog is always blue…

Hi there

Been busy today, prepping for a TV show on Sunday 3-5pm. I do hope you will be able to watch! These new Poppet stamps are rather delightful!

Here’s a blue-ish card I made today, using a split Companion Paper background…

The Designer Paper and the matching Companion Paper I have used here are from our new Antarctica Collection. What a splendid combination of blues, teals, pinks and more. I just love these colours!

The little Poppets are new designs. We launched them as Groovi plates a couple of weeks ago, and now they’re available as delightful stamps. In both a large and small format,

What I really like about these new designs by Marina, is that they are fresh and funky, for the young and young at heart. Some Christmas, some that cover loads of occasions. Top quality Claritystamps, that hit the spot every time.

Yep. It’s all systems go here at Clarity! Lots happening – and I’m glad to be back in the saddle, after our lovely break in California. It was magical, and being home is pretty good too. Lots of gratitude for so much. Please do tune in this weekend. Keep coming back to this ere blog for more news and ideas!

Without sounding too cryptic, let me just say this:

It is never the event, but how you respond to it that will ultimately affect you.

Love always

  1. Oh Barb what a perfect little bit of inspiration. This artwork is superb on the beautiful Antartica papers. I could while away many hours colouring these new little beauties.

Can’t wait for the shows. Sunday, Barb and Marina artwork who could ask for a better two hours of fun.

  2. I love all the poppets- and enjoyed making the samples – always a pleasure to colour this beautiful art – magical!! Good to have you back after your fab trip and wedding.

    1. Thanks, Sonia! Always love to see what you‘ve done with the products! You have such an original style! Love it! X

  3. Just got some Groovi poppets on the way and I have the early stamps which I’ve used on parchment recently. Love the teal with the hint of pink. Definitely a true saying too – cryptic or not ! Look forward to tv this weekend. X

  4. The cryptic clue is intriguing but a phrase that you have used in the past so I will keep checking back to see if the mystery is solved. The new poppets are a great addition to the poppet collection – I like Maeve, she definitely has attitude. Looking forward to Sundays show to see what hints & tips you have lined up for us x

    1. Hahaha! I love Maeve too! Jim at work has a young daughter called Maeve, and he picked that particular character because she reminded him of his little girl ❤️❤️❤️

  5. The Antarctica papers are great. Looking forward to Sunday’s show! Lovely to have you back on the TV!!!

  6. Ooh right in my favourite colour zone! Really looking forward to Sunday (which I’ll have to watch on catch-up) – I’m in love with these Poppets stamps and loved playing with them for my samples.
Cryptic or not, there’s is always something fab being planned at Clarity Towers!

  7. It’s good to have you back.
I am in love with all the Poppets and have been using the Christmas ones as well as the Gnomes and Elves for my seasonal cards.
Really looking forward to Sunday’s shows.
Away from crafting can I please issue a word of caution to all with husbands over forty. I know men are stubborn but if you can persuade them to take a PSA test for prostate please do so. If it is caught in time the prognosis is good. Left it can become quite serious. The test is simple and non invasive. My hubby is stage 2 and undergoing treatment which is not so bad as we thought.
    Nuff said.
Made a lot of cards today. My colouring skills are improving but I must say the quality of the Clarity artwork makes it easy.
    Stay safe everyone.

    1. Sorry you are going through a difficult time. I agree with everything you say about men getting tested if they can.
Unfortunately my husband had no real symptoms so when his cancer was discovered he was stage 4. The medication he his on can’t cure him but, so far, it is keeping it “asleep”.

  8. A perfect Poppet picture to whet the appetite for Sunday’s shows, Barb. Looking forward to your demos and tips and tricks with these magic little stamps, and of course what the inspirational Design Team have achieved with them!
    Welcome back home, Barb. 😊

  9. Nice to have you back Barb. Coming home is always good when you’ve had an amazing time away.
I love, love, love these new poppet stamps.
They are fab as Groovi but even better I think as stamps. I really enjoyed making samples with them.
    Safe travels to the studio.
    Love and hugs xxx

  10. Great blog and final quote very apt for me after a very hurtful comment. Do I now quote Catherine Cookson, perhaps not

  11. Hi Barbara
I remember saying that to my sister over the last few months along with it is what it is my favourite saying. Love the new poppets. Just wanted to say 10years ago me and Jackie were planning our wedding after it was legally allowed. There will be many celebrating their 10 year anniversary.
    Love
    Ruth and Jackie xx

  12. I just love, love the poppets as they can be used for so many different occasions. Really looking forward to the shows on Sunday xxx

  13. Thanks Barbara for this blog that came in My emails, I would very much like tif you could do the same every time you Blog. just a thought. I have to say that I have enjoyed seeing all tha Photo`s of the Wedding, every body did their bit in dressing for the occasion, looked pretty good yourself!!! Nothing has been said about your Country and Western/Hilly billy/Red Neck Line Dance?, did you do it?, I bet you did, and did Dave do it with you! See you on Sunday XXX

  14. Great to have you back, Barbara and so pleased you had such a brilliant time making wonderful memories. I’m not a stamper but will be tuning in to watch you work you magic.
I agree you can’t change what has happened but you can control (most of the time) how you cope or deal with it to make it less impactful on your wellbeing. Sometimes even burying your head in the sand is the right course to take: I have a friend who is very seriously ill and this is her coping strategy.

  15. What a lovely card – I do love blues and teals with a bit of pink thrown in too!
Looking forward to the show on Sunday and the SHAC on Monday morning xx

  16. Hi Barb, the new Poppet designs are really beautiful, Marina is another incredibly talented designer. Looking forward to the shows. I love all my designer papers and companion papers and the card, but I think Antarctica is now my favourite. Take care and stay warm everyone. Bx

  17. Ooh, ooh, more Poppets!! Not been arting for months and months (mojo has gone walkabout!). Hopefully, I will be inspired again by you, Barb, on Sunday. Is everything OK at C&C – there are no live shows and just a short msg to say they’re showing repeats!? Loved all the wedding pics – must’ve been hard to have to come back to Blighty – love to all the family x

  18. Welcome back Barbara! I look forward to seeing you on the Shac shack on Monday . I love Poppets and the Antarctic papers but no TV or licence by choice for 45 years so I won’t be watching.

  19. Barb, that quote is so true. If only more people took that to heart. Love the new designs and the colours you’ve chosen are gorgeous. xxx

  20. My nan always recited a poem to us when we were small … a trouble’s a tonne, a trouble’s an ounce, a trouble is what you make it … I read it at her funeral. Wise old bird, my nan! x
