Fancy a Tea Infusion?
Hi there
Thanks for popping in. Lights, camera, action up here at Create and Craft TV today. First hour at 9am. Second hour at 1pm.
I want to shine a light on the little Tea Infusion Paper pack that comes with the Dies and Stamps that I’m showcasing today….
Here’s a simple little step by step idea, which I may or may not get to today. The TV shows just fly by!! In any case, I thought I’d post a blog about it. I really want to show you just how beautiful, thin and strong all of our Tea Infusion Collage papers actually are. This little sampler pack is the same gear as the four Tea sets we have developed. Absolutely divine. A real treat to work with. CLICK HERE
But when you cut them up, mix n match them… OH!! The possibilities are endless! Lookie lookie!
Here, I simply used the second smallest Hexagon in our Nested Hexagon Fresh Cut Die set, and cut out loads of hexagons.
The paper was 4 layers thick when I cut, so I used one of each of the papers, to get loads of different colours.
I used a piece of tea infusion paper from the Darjeeling set as an underlay, because I was deliberating whether to leaves gaps between the hexagons, and expose a thin brown tone. I used a runny PVA glue to attach the pieces. Where did I start? Somewhere in the middle!
Once all the hexagons were in place, which didn’t take long at all, I trimmed the piece on all 4 sides, to 7in x 7in. NICE!
Then I cut said sheet of lovely hexagons into 4 quarters…
Let’s make one little card out of one little quarter…
Looks really arty! The papers are super thin yet super tough and durable. They sit beautifully next to each other. Like a patchwork quilt.
Give it a go. The hexagon works beautifully.
Love always,
Barb x x x
PS Just had a thought. I bet the BOW-WOB papers would work fantastically with this idea! CLICK HERE. And I bet they would look amazing mixed up with the coloured shapes too…

Love this idea of paper piecing the infusion papers using the hexagon die & the offcuts trimmed from the 8 x 8 papers would be great for paper weaving as well. My list of things to try is growing faster than ever after watching you & looking at all the DT Samples.
First I must finish last weeks Groovi Sunday project from Maggie Byford.
Thanks to you & the team for all the stash & inspiration xx
That’s a fantastic idea Barb – great inspiration! I need to give this a go – it would work with any of the designer papers I think xx
Brilliant idea, must give that a go. Thanks Barbara x
Hi Barb, loved the shows, and this is one idea I really want to try. Need to check if I have the hexagon die set. I do want to watch them again, because your demos were superb and inspiration by the bucket load. My order was placed super early, so can’t wait to get going with this set, and the shapes all work so well and are interchangeable. Take care everyone. Bx
Loved the shows and thought you idea with the hexagon die was such a good idea.
So much to try and not enough time !!! Same for everyone I expect.
Take care.
This looks fun to try, so simple but very effective. Off to give it a go xxx
Very effective, and a great idea for using up oddments. It would look amazing with the lace papers too.
