You never know what’s round the corner…

hi there

and just when you thought you’d turned the curve, and life was going to improve, God said “nah, not yet”.

in a nutshell , the pinched nerve isn’t a pinched nerve at all.

It’s pneumonia, and I’m in hospital .

not much more to add than that. I’ve never know pain like it. I will be here a while .

love always

Barb x x

  19. Sending hugs to wish you a speedy and full recovery very soon. This is so unwelcome but maybe your guardian Angel didn’t know how else to get your mind and body to take some time out. All of the messages have already said it all – hoping you can be a patient patient and a time to receive strength from others rather than giving – for a day or week or two. Take very good care and absorb all the love and good wishes xxx

  20. I am so sorry to hear this Barbara. Hope they soon have your pain under control and you can rest properly and take your time to fully recover. Sending you lots of love and get well soon vibes. Xx

  22. So sorry you’re not well Barb. Time to listen to what’s happening to your body. Let the clarity gang take over for a while and make sure you recover and come back firing on all cylinders. Get well soon. Xxx

  23. So very sorry you are not feeling well Barb, but I guess the body can only take so much and over the last few weeks/months you must have pushed it to its limit. At least in hospital you will have a much needed rest and our wonderful NHS will make sure you do as you are told!! Please get better soon and just take it easy. You are very precious to us all and we just want you to be well again – no matter how long it takes. I am just so thankful you were well enough to be at your dear dads funeral. Sending you love, hugs and good wishes for a speedy recovery. Take care. Pam xx

  24. So sorry to hear this Barb. My husband knows exactly how you are feeling! Just let them look after you and get plenty of rest. This too shall pass xxx

  31. This really wasn’t what I was expecting to read but so glad you must have sought medical advice today & are now in the best place where you can get the treatment you need. Hopefully the pain should start to decrease as the medication kicks in so take one day at a time & let the team at Clarity take the reins for a while.
This too shall pass if you listen to & carry out the doctors orders.
Meanwhile we will carry on crafting & sharing our work on FB. I am sure we can all find plenty to try if we go back & look at all the club projects.
    Sending hugs x

  32. Oh Barbara, that’s just what you didn’t need! Mind you, you’ve had so much going on, & so much to do for work & other people, you’ve probably got so good at keeping going that you wouldn’t have seen anything coming until you stopped. (just like teachers every end of term when we come down with all the illnesses going) Now please, please, concentrate on yourself. Be looked after, & know that everything will wait until you are better. And Paul, Dave & Steve if you are reading this please take care of yourselves too.
Sending much love to you all.

  33. I’m so sorry to hear you are in hospital. You were probably so focused on getting through your dear Dad’s funeral, that adrenaline was keeping you going. Now that has happened, it’s like your body has said “Nope! Time to put on the brakes”. I had pneumonia a few years ago, which owing to other health issues resulted in a hospital stay, and it wasn’t fun, so you have my sympathy. I very much hope you can get the care and time you need to recuperate. Look after yourself. Hx

  34. Know how bad the pain can be as have also had pneumonia and just like you thought it was only a pulled muscle. You need to let others take care of you for a while Barbara but with the right antibiotics you will start to feel better soon.❤❤

  35. Hopefully the medication and rest will help you to recover quickly and you’ll soon be home again. Take good care of yourself. Love and hugs 😘

  47. Sorry to hear that you are in hospital. I think your body might be telling you something…. perhaps it’s time to listen and put yourself first. Everything else can wait. Quote of the day…….”It’s not selfish to love yourself, take care of yourself, and to make your happiness a priority. It’s necessary.” Get well soon.

  48. So sorry you are unwell. You give out so much love to all of us, time now to soak up the love everyone is sending you and get well soon xxx

  49. I can’t believe it Barb and this on top of everything that you have been going through. Life can be so unfair.

I’m so very sorry to hear you are so unwell but at least you are in the very best place for the moment.
You are an extraordinary person, so kind and generous even in the most trying of circumstances and consequently you must have been running on empty for quite a while now. Having had pneumonia and a protracted hospital stay, I have an idea how you must be feeling just now. As you begin to recover, be good, listen to the doctor then perhaps take a good long rest to recharge your batteries and resist the urge to ‘get straight back in the saddle’. Perhaps someone, somewhere is telling you to slow down a bit, hey?

We all love you to bits and none of us want to see you doing too much and grinding yourself down, however much we enjoy all the amazing results of your efforts.
    You come first.
    Take care!

It was so moving to hear of your family’s loving farewell to your darling Dad. You are moving forward, every day, but he will always be by your side.)

You have good people around you who will manage fine. Let the antibiotics do their job and REST REST REST. God bless. xx

  75. Dear Barbara,
I am so sorry to hear that you are very unwell. What rotten luck after everything you have been through; sometimes things happen for a reason and that reason, as many have pointed out in their messages is that your body has been pushed to its limit and is telling you that you need to rest, recharge and recuperate.

I wish you a good recovery and even when you feel better, please take some time for yourself just to be sure that you are 100% better. Fortunately you have a good team and family behind you to take care of everything else. We, your fans and Clarity family will wait patiently and look forward to your return to the Clarity Saddle when you are fully recovered and raring to go for some more Shac Shack adventures.

I am relieved to see Dave’s update that you are doing ok. You are in the right place to kick-start your recovery.

Sounds like you’re in good hands so just have a really good rest and get well soon! Thinking of you sending hugs and Lots of Love. Alles Liebe ❤

  86. Oh my dear Barb, so sorry to read this this morning. Maybe it’s a message that apart from being ill, you are overdoing things and that you need rest. It’s very easy to “keep busy” to take our minds off what is really happening, but we also need to slow down to let our bodies and hearts heal. I hope that you are receiving the best treatment and have the kindest nurses working to make you better. Just remember my lovely that “this too shall pass” and you will soon be back home. Sending big gentle hugs and lots of love, Trude xxx

  97. My cousin , who is a Reiki healer, always says that grief goes to the chest and mine did when my little Mum died. You are constantly in my thoughts, Barbara. Lots and lots and lots of rest. Take great care and just soak up all the love.

  98. Oh no, Barabara! This is just what happened to me when my mum died. You’ve been rushing around trying to be all things to all people and you’ve depleted all your reserves. The pain is awful – I collapsed onto my trolley in Sainsbury’s with it. When I came to there were Sainsbury’s staff standing round me in a ring so I was shielded from the other shoppers. I thought that was so lovely of them. I also had to go to hospital. Once I got home did I take it easy? No, I didn’t and guess what happened! Yes, it happened again (not in Sainsbury’s thankfully). So please, please accept this was your body telling you to give it a break for a bit. You are a wonderful, giving person who makes a HUGE difference to lots of people. We all want you to carry on with what you do but ONLY once you have given yourself the time you need to grieve properly for your your dad and for your health to recover. It takes time! Plenty of time! Be nice to yourself now and BE SENSIBLE!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and sending lots of love to you and all your family. xxxxxx
