A Perfect Storm.

A Perfect Storm.

Hi there

Thanks for popping in. It’s raining cats and dogs outside, so I’m very glad to have moved my Mac into the house. Irony of ironies, I’m now able to keep our Erik company in the dining roon, because that is where I have taken up Techy residence, and where he now has to spend the next month, in a large cage, to let his broken leg heal. Pink splint?! He’ll never live it down! Boy oh boy. But I am allowed to cuddle him – gently of course. And here’s Ragnar, hanging out with us too. These brothers are inseparable!

Mmmm. Dave’s just walked past me with the kitchen basin, which is never a good omen…apparently it’s raining through the ceiling in his music room! Cellar’s flooded too…FFS!!!

And now, to crown it all, Tina has just called to say her poor Mum has had a bad turn, and she may or may not be able to do the TV show tomorrow, depending on how things develop tonight. So Paul is on red alert, to jump in and present the Pergamano shows tomorrow – just in case. Which will involve going to the TV Studios via Tina’s house in London first, to pick up all the show material. Where would I be without Paul and Dave? Yep. Lost. It never rains but it pours. Fingers crossed Tina’s Mum will be okay. I really feel for Tina too. x x x

On a real positive note, Dave and I had a very successful trip to Maidstone Hospital this morning with Dad. He was on good form, chatty and humorous, which always makes my heart sing. We were in and out pretty quickly, and the eye doctor was very happy with the test results. So there we are: every cloud has a silver lining.

Like I was saying in the SHAC last Thursday: One Day at a Time is really the only way forward. So I cannot say for sure who will be showcasing these lovely plates designed by Tina tomorrow at 11am and 3pm on Create & Craft, but I can say for sure that the shows will go on!

So. Someone will be shining a light on some of these fabulously festive designs…

Festive Frames

Here’s some inspiration from the Design Team

Also featuring on the show is Tina’s Christmas Layering Collection

With a little more inspiration from the Design Team…

It will all work out in the end. In the words of Sheryl Crow:

No one said it would be easy
But no one said it’d be this hard

Anyway, in the words of Cicero: Ceteris Paribus! (all things being equal!), we’ll be inking up and colouring Dahlias in the SHAC at 10am on Facebook LIVE!

I bet things were pretty

And in the words of Barbie,

What a dahlia this has been !!!

See you then.

Love and Hugs

  1. Glad you have Erik home, looks like Ragnar is pleased too.
Great that your Dad is getting better. Must be a great relief for you.
Leaks are a bind, they don’t always originate where they appear and are a pain to find. Hope Dave gets it sorted soon.
Sorry to hear Tina’s Mum is unwell. I am sure Paul will do an admirable job and judging from these samples we can look forward to a great show.
Now that Ray has unblocked the kitchen sink (he poured hot fat down it last night followed by cold water and as we were out all day I only discovered the blockage when washing the veg for dinner tonight) late as it is, I can finish the chores.
Stay dry, stay safe, stay well. 🍒

  2. Lovely artwork from the design team, hoping to record tomorrows shows, (not showing on menu at the moment), so will try again before I go to work. Hope Tina’s mum improves, pleased your dad had good news, and that Erik is back home and allowed to have cuddles. Love and hugs to you all. xxx

  3. So pleased to hear your Dad is feeling better and that Erik is home again where he belongs. I bet he won’t like being in that cage though especially as he starts to get better. My thoughts are also with Tina – as you say where would you be without a Paul and Dave in your life. Everyone needs a Paul bless him.

  4. Dearest Tina and Barb – Mums and Dads are more important than ANYTHING )oh! and cats.
    Much Love
    Maggie (Bendy Yorkite)
    PS – hasn’t Erik grown.

  5. Hi Barb, hope Dave managed to sort the leaks. Glad to hear your Dad is doing well. Please pass on my best wishes to Tina and her Mum. The plates and samples are lovely and if Paul has to step in, he will do a fab job. Hope Erik is coping with the cast. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx

  6. I think the phrase it never rains but it pours certainly fits your situation at the moment! Poor Erik – thank heavens he made it home.
