Jayne Nestorenko

Jayne Nestorenko

Hi there.

Thanks for popping in. Today we are shining a little light on a dear friend, a lovely lady and a super talented designer: Jayne Nestorenko. Many of you will remember her from Create and Craft TV; she was the most gently spoken, talented artist – with a wicked sense of humour. Bone dry and so funny xx

A while before she lost her battle with cancer at the beginning of 2017, she asked me to look after her artwork, to make sure it lived on. We pushed hard at Clarity to get it back into the limelight while Jayne was still with us, and we developed her art in Groovi plates too. I remember how very impressed she was with her art in parchment. Paul and I went to see her and took all the artwork from the Design Team, and I recall we even managed to arrange a live phone call into the studio when we launched the Groovi florals. Magic.

So here we are, over 5 years on from her passing, and her art is still as immaculate and beautiful as the day she created it.

This afternoon we launch her fabulous designs again, her Christmas children, her Winter landscapes and the entire Floral collection in a smaller, bijou size.

Why? Because we can. Our new stamp manufacturing system allows us to reduce the lineart by up to 40% without losing any of the fine detail in her illustrations. And all of the stamps are exquisite in the small format. Easier to use, quicker to make cards with, cuter, crisper and all round fabulous. Jayne would be over the moon.

Join me at 3pm this afternoon on Create and Craft TV, and let me show you just how good these new old stamps are!

Also on the show – Jayne Nestorenko A5sq Winter Scenes

Together with the Jayne Nestorenko Winter Church & Bridge A5 Groovi Plates

and finally the Jayne Nestorenko A5sq Groovi Floral Collection with iiBook

Writing a blog on an I-phone is indeed a challenge! Please forgive the typos!

love and strength

  1. Beautiful work, stamps and groovi are fabulous. Good luck with shows this afternoon – not that you need it. Those who haven’t seen Jayne’s work are in for a real treat X

  2. These are some of my favourite designs and have used them on so many occasions. Thanks for keeping her talent alive. X

  3. Jayne was such a kind and gentle soul. I have a tuition DVD by her which I have watched many times! Hope your shows go well today. My garden beckons whilst it’s dry x

  4. I have a few of Jayne’s original stamps that I treasure. A truly lovely, talented Lady who left us too soon.

  5. Oh dear, my bank manager is about to have another heart attack. Jayne’s designs have always been up with my very favourite pieces, including my only three remaining wood backed stamps, lovely Mandalay. Her flowers are usually within reach, or in my bag at workshops. I have translated the rose, in particular, using the frosted layer colouring technique, to fit inside the parchment from the Retreat, but done on the fine grid. Is there any chance of printing white outlines as you did for the Floral Overlays (pretty please)? I am waiting to press the button as soon as they are available. The gorgeous artwork shows just how beautiful they are, and adjustable. DVD is set ready, and the phone will be on answer. I hope you are expecting the doors to blow off again. xxx Maggie Craner (Silvercrafter)

  6. Beautiful artwork, using brilliant designs from a lovely talented lady, sadly missed. So pleased she entrusted you to look after her art. I have the flowers both in stamps and groovi, and both the ii books, which are a great inspiration. Looking forward to the shows. Take care. xxx

  7. Jane is one fantastic lady ,met her at the NEC.
So sad such a lovely lady gone to soon
GOT her groovi plates first time round

  8. I have most of the original stamps and love them, especially the Christmas ones. I’ll be recording the shows and will watch with interest.

  9. I always think of Jane when using her Agapanthus Groovi plate. Such a lovely and talented lady and a great loss. Sorry I won’t be watching your shows live, but I am afraid that tennis wins today, with cricket on the radio in the background and the Grand Prix on tv in the other room! No sitting still for me 😂 I will catch up with you tomorrow. Enjoy the shows. X

  10. Loved the shows today showcasing the still missed, lovely Jane’s designs. Loved the new sizes as well seeing all the amazing cards from the outstanding design team.

  11. Great shows as always, Barbara – was busy hopping about to catch up on the tennis when you had a gap! Love the winter scenes – they’ll be appearing on my Christmas cards again this year xx

  12. I was so impressed with all the designs when they were originally launched that I bought the lot. They have been well used, both stamps and Groovi plates, over the years so I was delighted to see smaller versions of the stamps. Hubby blanched when he found I had ordered all three bundles. Not sure I could cope with smaller art on Groovi except for the florals.
The gallery of examples shown here is uplifting and a credit to all the artists.
    Stay safe.

  14. Hello Barb, Beautiful Jayne, beautiful artwork. Love the smaller version of the stamps. will have to watch on catch-up. Take care everyone. Bx
