This too shall pass…

This too shall pass…

Hi there

Thanks for popping in. There’s a particular quote that I use. A lot.

This too shall pass

Solomon

It’s true – in good times and in bad. So when you find yourself in a crisis, in a drama, in a grim situation, it helps to remember that This too shall pass.

Conversely, when Life is a chair of bowlies (err .. I mean a bowl of cherries), and everything’s going your way, you should always know that – once again – This too shall pass.

We tend to use the expression when the odds are stacked against us, but yeah. Good to remember that this carousel called LIFE swings both ways.

So. Here’s a little tribute to a very wise quote, which I find very comforting, and also very levelling. It’s that Yin Yang thing again, you see?

I used part of one of our layout stamps from Friday’s show.

  1. As always you come up with great art and a great saying. I’m in pain today but I know This Too Will Pass.
    Stay safe.

  2. I keep testing and keep getting a positive result. I think of you each time I do and say to myself This Too Shall Pass. I just wish it would hurry up and do one Barbara 🤣🤣🤣 looking forward to Friday’s TV shows xx

  3. My favourite is ‘Now is not forever’ – similar in meaning. When I was nursing some ‘wit’ wrote a banner with your saying over the pan room (where ,back in the 1960’s) we emptied and cleaned the metal bedpans and bottles! Actually, thinking about it, it wasn’t quite the same -it was ‘And it came to pass’!!

  4. This too shall pass & One Day at a Time have fitted many occasions for us over the last two years !!
Hopefully 2022 will start to get back to more normal things.
Another great envelope of club goodies including your letter has arrived today – now to sit down & read through the projects.

  5. Hello Barb, never before has this quote had more meaning to people than the last 2 years, and it is very true, as you say it fits both good and bad situations. Love the little step by step project. Need to have a chat with the bank manager. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx
