…and the wisdom to know the difference.

…and the wisdom to know the difference.

Hi there

Thanks for popping in. Just went through all the demo boxes in readiness for Sunday’s 2-4pm TV show. In a world of constant change and fluctuation, where things are constantly swinging one way then the other, it always feels good to tick a few Done It boxes.

So this pile of stamps and projects represents so much more than just a load of projects, numbered and ready to serve up on Sunday. It also actually gives me the feeling that I have a little control over my life, just a little, that I have a plan and I know what I am doing. Do you get me? The more chaos out there, the tidier my sock drawer! I guess the adage would read:

control the controllable

That’s all we ever can do. When something crops up, the first thing to consider is, do you want to change it or do something about it. The next question is CAN YOU. Can you change it or CAN you do anything about it? If not, then what? What indeed. Don’t waste any energy on something you can’t do anything about.

On Sunday, the Poems and Verses stamp sets are on the show. The Serenity prayer is included. See it? That’s about the sum of it. Once you have this prayer in your life it never leaves you.

Stay safe.

Love always,

Barb xxx

  1. What is it they say – fail to prepare …. looks like no problem with all those boxes stacked and waiting! One less thing to worry about. Look forward to Sunday shows. No need to wish you good luck, it’s always good ! X

  2. You, Barbara Gray, are a very wise woman. I look forward to the Sunday shows (that’s if the puppy lets me) 😊😊

  3. Really looking forward to the shows on Sunday. Just opened a happy parcel that arrived today with my goodies from the bloggy sale – I probably shouldn’t spend any more on Sunday, but who knows…!!

  4. Such wise words in the Serenity Prayer, words I need to heed more often! Thank you Barbara for all those preparations and your Blog – I look forward again to being inspired by your amazing demonstrations on Sunday!

  5. I totally get where you are coming from. I have spent the last week or so gutting various rooms but being able to create space and clear my feet, quite literally at times, has been so good. Still more to do but in the mood at the moment. Looking forward to Sunday’s shows. Enjoy your weekend. Lots of love. Hxx

  6. Looking forward to Sundays shows, and what inspiration you have in those boxes. Trying to sort out my back room, as Clarity goodies are taking over, so need to organise things a bit, but at least I have some clear space in the middle of the room!! xx

  7. I think I need some extra storage boxes to keep my work in progress projects in. I do like to be organised!

  8. Such wise words but it’s surprising how much time we do spend worrying and upsetting ourselves about things we have no control over whatsoever and making ourselves ill. I am very slowly, now I’m lucky enough to be retired, beginning to understand this and just let things go – don’t even think about if I can’t do anything about it, just go with what I’ve got and change the things I can. Really looking forward to Sunday.

  9. Hello Barb, you are certainly very well prepared, I am looking forward to the shows. Love all the verses, but the Serenity Prayer and the Irish Blessing always get me. May have to sit on my hands though. Safe travels Barb Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx
