A Heartfelt Step-by-Step – GOSH!

A Heartfelt Step-by-Step – GOSH!

Hi there.

Thanks for popping in.

Monday swings around quickly, doesn’t it? But have no fear. Our HALF PRICE member’s sale is an all week long event. It ends next Monday, so you’ve got plenty of time to have a look, check your wishlist, and even join the Clarity Craft Club, so that you can take full advantage of the blanket discount across all Clarity Products (except the newest stuff of course!)

We’ve been delving into our Clarity step-by-step tutorial archives. Old is gold! Some of these projects are also based around scrap! Those bits and pieces that you might throw in the bin. Perhaps it will allow you to look at your ‘rubbish’ a little differently.

Let’s use the gorgeous Garden Heart Stamp Set (which is in our Half Price Sale by the way!) I drew this one a long time ago, and you will easily see my style in it if you are a SHAC Shacker!

Step 1.
Look through your scrap papers and pick a piece you like the look of. I run my painty brayer off on copy paper when I’m using the Gel Press, and NEVER throw those scraps away!

Step 2.
Stamp the Garden Heart in Black Archival onto your piece of old paper scrap.
It looks arty and distressed to me.

Step 3.
Add colour with Perga Colour Pens/Distress Markers.

Step 4.
Cut the piece back to a square and go around the edges with a black sharpie pen.
Using a tape runner, back up on white card and backing paper/card of your choosing.

Step 5.
Add a lovely sentiment panel onto white card.
Cut, go around the edges with a sharpie marker and attach using a glue runner.
Back all of it up on a larger piece of white card, to give it an extra frame. And…

Done!

We’ve put together a BEAUTIFUL artwork gallery on our website, all love themed for the month of February. You can check it out HERE. It’s chocker block full of inspiration!

Also, For the duration of our members’ sale, be on the lookout for the little ‘heart’ icon on selected love-themed products! For every one of these items sold, we’ll donate 10% of the proceeds to Great Ormond Street Hospital. GOSH! Well, if you’ve got a heart, you want others to feel the love, right?

What a great cause. I’ll round up the donation to the nearest hundred too. There but for the grace of God go I.

We’ll also be sending a lovely box full of colouring pencils, pens and Marina Fedotova colouring postcards up to them. To put in their day room. I’m sure they’ll enjoy them. We do, don’t we xx

STAY SAFE!

Love and Hugs

  1. What an amazing thing to do for GOSH , I’m sure the colouring will go down well, I wondered what the little hearts were for 🤭❤
    keep safe hugs
    Xxx

  2. What a generous lady you are in every sense of the word and I don’t mean just money. I’ve placed 3 orders so far in the sale and each time I see something else so there may be a 4th. My Bank Manager says he’s going to cut the plug off the computer 🤣🤣

  3. Hi Barbara this is a gorgeous project. I love it. I will be checking out the members sale. I like the idea of the little heart on some products. How lovely to send all the colouring bits and bobs too. Have a great evening. Take care. Hugs xxx

  4. Such a great cause to sponsor and I am sure they will be very grateful for the goods for their day room.
Just caught up on your weekend blogs, didn’t realised you’d started them again. Pleased we have a week to browse the sale as it gives me time to check my shelves. I have placed one order and I see another one coming soon.
Delighted with theJanuary club package but sorry to hear your Christmas was a bit of a fiasco. Glad your parents are OK. Hope everyone else is fully recovered.
    Travel gently and stay safe.

  5. How lovely you are Barbara. I’m sure GOSH will be over the moon with your generous donations and I’m just as sure that the colouring products will be enjoyed and appreciated by parents as well as children. Having spent many many hours/days/weeks with my son at Birmingham Children’s hospital (several years ago now…and he sadly didn’t make it), it was so nice to have a distraction for an hour or two. Those postcards and pencils would have done the trick! Thank you for all your inspiration and kindness x

    1. What a lovely project today. My club folders and goodies arrived today but I’ve not had a proper chance to look at them yet. My first job was in Queen Square just around the corner from GOSH!

  6. Fabulous project Barbara. You do right to keep all your scraps. I often look through mine for a starting point.
You’re a generous, lovely lady having the fundraiser for GOSH. Hope it’s successful.
    Love and hugs. Xxxx

  7. Hi Barbara
Will be sure to look out for the hearts ♥️ GOSH performed a heart lung transplant on my nephew a number of years ago although no longer with us his heart lives on in someone else. He achieved 4years of good quality life as a result for which we will always be grateful 😊. Shame about the throw down last night but gnomes were obviously not his thing 😣
    Love Ruth &. Jackie xx

  8. It’s amazing what treasures the scrap box holds and certainly gets the brain working and also gets the box down to a more manageable level!! Also doing my bit for the planet as very little finds it’s way into the bin.
My Husband reckons that one good sneeze in my craft room will set off an avalanche and I will never be seen again!!! 😂😂

  9. I never throw anything away – you just never know when it will come in useful. Love the Shac this this morning it was really relaxing.xx

  10. Hi Barb, what a wonderful and heartfelt thing to do for GOSH. They do so much for Children and their families. Will have to go have a look for hearts now, do my little bit. Love the step by step, so easy to achieve. It was a very happy day yesterday as my club goodies arrived, and they are fabulous, as are the projects. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx
