And they all work together!

And they all work together!

Hi there,

Thanks for popping in. It’s Mixed Mixed Friday on the Craft Store TV tomorrow, so I’ve been head down and prepping all day. All set now, to show you some tricks n tips using some very lovely new Claritystamps….

What’s coming up? Well, here we are taking LinoCut stamps to the next level. We’ve deconstructed the original art into individual elements, so that you can rebuild it in YOUR style. This really is so cool! And the best bit is:

THEY ALL WORK TOGETHER !!

The 3 New Backdrop stamps which accompany the floral cuts are not only completely interchangeable within the three flowers sets – they also serve to create a Linocut style with loads of your other stamps! Especially the little additional chatter stamps in each set. See what I mean?

Linocut Poppy and Distressed Backdrop Stamp Sets

Linocut Teasels and Grunge Backdrop Stamp Sets

Linocut Allium & Landscape Backdrop Stamp Sets

If you appreciate Linocuts, you will be familiar with this kind of art. It has a real earthy kind of feel, and is often constructed in raw layers, which sit on top of each other, but don’t fit perfectly. It’s all about the layout and the layering. So our Claritystamps are perfect for positioning the arty layers here!

I shall add the backdrops on the leaves tomorrow…

Now here’s another invaluable new set! I always reach for the Mixed Impression Dots And Spots Grunge set, because it hits the spot every time – literally!

Well, this one – Netting overlays – just zoomed to the top of my Grungey Texture Mats hit parade!

Mixed Impressions – Netting Overlays Stamp Sets

Spectacular. Look what our dear Sam Crowe has done with it…

I love this one too, by Debbie McMullin.

The Poppy Set is very cool too. In fact, there’s a little Poppy Stampset which I drew years ago, which sits absolutely perfectly with this lino set. ThePoppies and meadowgrasses are on the show tomorrow too. They work with the backdrop Linocuts like a charm

Interesting how these über fine poppy stamps blend in so seamlessly…

Well, I hope you can join me at 9am and 1pm tomorrow, when we shall be putting these new designs though their paces, and showing you how to make great art with them. xx

The Craft Store (aka HOCHANDA) Friday 25th June at 9am & 1pm

See you there.

Love always

  1. Interesting and different. I can see how the background stamps would add to the affect of many other stamps. Looks like I will be spending again !!!
    See you in the morning.

  2. Really looking forward to tomorrow’s shows, you’ve got me hooked on the lino cut stamps Barbara! And the chatterbox background stamps seems to open up a whole new use for other stamp sets! Definitely see you tomorrow in the Craft Store! Happy Anniversary to you and Dave!

  8. I love the concept of lino cut stamps! I think that these are just fab and can see them being very popular indeed. It brings back very happy memories of doing lino cutting at school and I remember our art teacher so well, we always used to think that she was really eccentric! In hind sight, she was just passionate in her art and totally brilliant!
Happy Anniversary to you and Dave. Love and hugs, Gilly xx

  9. Hi Barb,
Happy Anniversary to you and Dave.

These stamps look fantastic and I can definitely feel a spend coming on! I wasn’t sure at first about the original Lino cuts but when I saw the samples and then tried them for myself I love them. The new texture plates look great too. At least I already have the poppies!, love and hugs, Alison xxx

  10. These are lovely/super/fab I only have 2 of the linocut sets (so far) and have discovered that they work wonderfully with the old fashioned Kaleidacolour-type inkpads (you know, the ink pads with about 5 different colours all together in one inkpad).
Hope you are all well after your Festival marathon!
    Love
    Maggie (Bendy Yorkite)

  11. Love the poppy.
The Lino cut chatter does make nice backgrounds. Will enjoy watching the shows tomorrow.

  12. Happy Anniversary to you both. Love the stamps ooooh, do you think I’ll resist. Hmmmm. Have you left Dave and come up ‘ere to Oundle or ‘ave you stayed home to be with him while you use good old Skype. Been remembering our jam butty picnics in the car park with Tina. Gosh that was an age ago. Looking forward to the shows. Will watch 1st and record 2nd. Off to visit hubby. Catch up later xxx

      1. What a giggle. Tina never knew what shape or flavour we had brought. She was like a kiddie in a sweetshop. Happy days. X

  13. Happy Anniversary to you both.
I told myself I had enough stamps but love the look of these new ones in the lino cut family. Will pop the shows on to record so I can watch & refer to later. I will try & watch the shows live as well whilst I am painting walls at my daughters.

I watched the 9am show – lovely new stamps – of course I spent some cash. I love how these stamps are not about being perfect. Like you, Barbara, I have used the dotty grunge plates a lot so I am looking forward to these news to add in a change. I’m sure 1pm show will be just as good. xx
