All good things take time…

All good things take time…

Hi there

Thanks for popping in. A while ago, Linda Williams asked us to consider adding Rainbow Parchment to our range. A4 Rainbow parchment.

So I spoke to Jim at work, who came up with a whole collection of lovely colourways. Those designs went to our printer, who then got to work on the prototypes. It’s always a BIG DAY when prototypes land back at Clarity Towers. This is when we get a proper wet proof of what the parchment papers will look like, and feel like. It’s when we see whether what we designed on a screen actually translated the way we envisaged it.

Oh Happy Day today!!!

Lots of oohing and aahing, lots of excitement. Packed a batch straight off to Linda Williams, to get her hands on expert opinion. Then the greenlight to the printer, to “take it to bed !”

Now we wait. It will be a while. The drying time alone is immense on many thousands of leaves of printed parchment – you can imagine! But the end game will be worth the wait. Traditional parchers and Groovi parchers alike will appreciate these.

And don‘t forget. While we’re waiting – and it will be many weeks – for this magnificent quality rainbow parchment to land, our Offer of the Week this week is of course our super 8x8inch Designer Parchment. Half Price until Monday. CLICK HERE

All good things take time. Parchment craft is an art form renowned for taking time. Pottery too. If you want to get it right, it all takes takes. Time to learn and time to do.

And now it’s time to go turn those four porcelain bowls I threw yesterday evening! I added a little grog. Love the black speckles in white porcelain.

Be safe.

Love always

  1. Wow Barbara your bowls are fabulous. You are doing so well with your pottery. Rainbow parchment looks brilliant, I must start using more coloured parchment. xx

  2. Wow looking forward to the new parchment, you are very talented potter, I love seeing what you do next.

  3. Ooo love those bowls. If they need a home I can accommodate!!! Haha.
The rainbow parchment looks pretty cool too. Can’t wait til it lands properly.
    Have a lovely evening.
    Love and hugs xxx

  4. Love the idea of the rainbow parchment. I’ve been using up rainbow paper to back some simple parchment practice pieces and cards for the charity box. I found it when I was having a clear out and didn’t want to throw it away. Nearly all gone now though so this new parchment will be very welcome.
I have ordered the new plate mate bundle and the extenders for the other plate. Super idea to have these.
Your pots are looking good, clever lady.
Hot hot hot here today. Feeling sluggish but very calm so it’s feet up and a bowl of ice cream to round off the day.
    Stay safe.

  5. Love your bowls. Had a lovely evening catching up with groovi Tuesday. All the new plates look irresistable!

  6. I’m loving the idea of rainbow parchment. Sheila Baylis sent me a piece and I can’t bring myself to use it.
I’m wondering what you are going to do with all your bowls! They look fantastic. X

  7. Another oooh! That looks exciting. Love your bowls, too. You have been busy. I’m on crochet just now just for a change. I bought two kits at the Edinburgh Yarn Festival a few years ago so time to pull one out of the cupboard! You don’t want to rush into things!! Lol. Enjoy your evening. Brilliant morning with Linda. That was a good plan. Lots of love. Hxx

  8. Bowls look great and the speckles just add something xx
Love the look of the rainbow parchment and will look forward to when it is released another winner for team Clarity xx

  9. Just caught up with Groovi Tuesday – what a great show. The rainbow parchment & your new bowls look great as well. Ordered the new plate mate early as I was going to Moms but missed the extenders for the original one so will add them to my shopping list.
I am sorting my Groovi stash to make up a workable set for my 11 year old granddaughter who has rekindled her love for Groovi. Hopefully over the coming weeks we can have more craft days together.

  10. Hi Barbara, love your tiles with the flower in it. I see a stamp in it?!?!
But your bowls are lovely too. Have a nice day. And eh…. when you wait for something good, you never wat too long.

  11. Hi Barb, those bowls are beautiful, just thinking how lovely a set would look in my cabinet 🙂 The rainbow parchment is lovely, it looks strokeable.
Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx

  12. Love, love, love the look of the new rainbow parchment – looking forward patiently to stocking up and love the bowls too. Ordered the new A4 square grid plate mate – think this will become my go-to plate mate when using A4 square plates like the A4 grid plate mate is my go-to for A5 square plates! Going to be a hot one today!

  13. Barbara love your bowls. Your pottery is as good as your art. Enjoyed the groovi Tuesday with Linda and Paul. It was excellent and lovely to see and hear Linda again.

  14. Lovely bowls, Christmas is coming but I don’t think I could give them away!
We had shaded parchment many years ago, I love these colours.

  15. Oh wow Barbara that parchment is gorgeous. I love it. I love the pots too. Enjoy the rest of the day. Take care. Hugs xxx

  16. I love the idea of Groovi rainbow parchment. I know I’ll buy it but also am unlikely to use it. I’ve had some Pergamano rainbow parchment for years and have never used it. It’s a need to own item!!
