And at 6 pm it’s a wrap….

Hi there.

Thanks for popping in.

Oh boy! What a busy 2-hour TV show on HOCHANDA that was! If you missed it, you can catch up on HOCHANDA.com . They store it for about 7 days, if I’m not mistaken. We do like the old Clarity Classics, don’t we! For me, using the Speedball Brayer is like putting on a really old, comfortable pair of slippers. And with these new Backdrop stamps of ours, it spreads the ink so well. Thank you for watching and supporting. xxx

At 6pm I am launching the most amazing Trio of splendiferous Groovi Plates, designed by my dear friend Linda Williams: It’s a Wrap Part II. You may remember the first 3, and how they flew? Well these three are – dare I say it – even better! They are actually designed to create envelopes, pretty pockets and ribbon wrap arounds, but wait till you see what Linda calls an envelope! HAHAHA. I just see amazing designs, patterns, combinations, wraps. Seriously good. And a must have if you bought the first 3.

Sunday’s blog is a step by step, right? So here’s a lovely project created by Linda herself, using the Pretty Pocket plate. I am hoping to get to this demo on Monday at 8am – stock permitting!

Ready? Here goes…

Build the pattern on the flaps…

Perforate around the cutting edge, ready to picot cut, or just use a good pair of scissors to cut out the pocket.

Now for the borders. We’ll use one of the ribbon wraps for this…light blue parchment this time. And the same process. Some whitework and some colour to match the pretty pocket.

Add a touch of silver Pergaglitter to the artwork, using a mapping pen and sticky ink.

Time to see what’s inside the little secret envelope….

Ahhhh…. Presh the Pergamano Poppet is inside the Pretty Pocket!! Say that when you’ve had a couple of sherries! These are our Poppet Parchment prints. So lovely! And so many options! 18 in fact.

The No. 4 nested Picot square die fits inside the pocket like a glove.

A little whitework, a little colour, a little glitter …

Finally, mount on a piece of the new Antarctica Designer paper.

That’s it. Actually very achievable indeed. I will take you through it again tomorrow morning at 8am if you fancy.

Must dash now. Just time to have a quick cuppa before we kick off at 6. Hope you can join us on Hochanda.com

Linda, if you are reading this, all I can say is THANK YOU. You are such a good friend.

Love and hugs

  1. Thank you Barbara for the brilliant earlier Hochanda shows – a real stroll down Memory Lane for us “Old Stampers”! Looking forward to Linda’s amazing wrap around designs, I think I might need a “wrap around Bank balance”! Take care, enjoy the cuppa and see you in the SHAC shack tomorrow!

  2. Stunning card, Linda. They have fallen into my basket already! I’m looking forward to future demos, too, to see what else you can do with the big blank stamps – they fell into my basket as well!! This internet shopping is far too easy but great fun!! Going to stick some veg on and I’ll be all ready for 6 p.m. I have a feeling you will be in a bit of a tizzy’s at 6 p.m. as well as those plates fly out the door, too. And breathe…. Lots of love. Hxx

  3. Really enjoyed the afternoon programmes and the ‘old’ stamps and techniques. It’s a pity the dancescape masks aren’t available separately, as I, like others I’m guessing, have the rest of the masks in the set. Would it be possible to do them as a pair please? I’ve ordered the deer and dance stamps though my friend has them, but not the trees that come with them. so it’s a good excuse for me to get them!! I also have the ‘old’ trees so looking forward to playing!

  4. Oh Wow! – I’m watching Hochamda now and I’m absolutely blown away by the beauty of the samples, especially the beautiful pink one with the Poppet inside! Absolutely gorgeous!! – If I manage to make one, I won’t be able to give it away!! 🤣
    I’m off to order! X

  5. wow, everything is flying through the doors but no wonder as all the new stuff is fantastic – spoilt for choice but I think most of it will be wending its way here !!

  7. I sure did read it Barb. You too are a treasured friend. You don’t get many of those in a lifetime. Love you xxx

  8. Watched the shows really like the effects you achieved with the backdrop stamps.
Would really like one of those as a 4 inch circle giving the nice border if you have any further development plans😉

  9. Thank goodness for Clarity on a dreary wet Sunday! Very well done Barbara, great presentations, entertaining and informative. I was out of breath just watching you! Brilliant. Many congratulations to Linda on designing such beautiful plates..not surprising they sold out. A success story in difficult times. Well done Clarity.xx

  10. Brilliant shows and products. I’ll wait to order when you have stocked up – no need to add to the chaos. Your stress management is inspiring. Good luck, Steve…

  11. Just wow, wow, wow Clarity just keeps on producing fantastic ideas, great products you so deserve to do well. The shows are great, love the demos.👏👏👏

  12. Hi Barb, the stamps are just beautiful, love the verse stamps too. Your demos with the brayer just brought back the urge to play and create. Your step by step is wonderful, am just watching the 8am show, have not watched the 6pm show yet. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx

  13. Kudos to you and your staff. You all did a wonderful job demonstrating how all of the different stamps and plates work. Your design team should be called the dream team really. It provides such inspiration for us and sells the products beautifully. I always watch saying I have enough, I haven’t even used all I have, but when one sees the beautiful examples I always end up purchasing. I truly feel that the educational part of your business is what has made you such a success. Of course your charming personality and caring disposition does not hurt either. Keep up the great work and thank you.
