Something New and Lovely.

Something New and Lovely.

Hi there.

Thanks for popping in. How has your day been? Mine has been great so far, so I won’t spoil it be worrying that I didn’t get enough TV prep done. It just takes as long as it takes. What I have done is fine – and certainly enough to get the Birthday launch ball rolling! I still want to do a little bit to my SHAC-Shack eagles before end of play today, and then I can get a bright and fresh run at the TV shows early tomorrow.

To be honest, I think that the weekend WOW will fly. It is absolutely beautiful. Did you like those Marina Fedotova Poppet stamps last month? You see, I don’t really do cute. But these images are so exquisite, I wouldn’t even file them under cute. Friday 10am we will be introducing you to 12 more little poppets…

Thing is, I don’t think they work as Groovi plates. Stamps? Perfect! But the lines are so delicate and sketchy, they really don’t translate well into grooves. And faces just don’t look so good in white lineart. They work better stamped in black on parchment, but not all of us are stampers – and consistent, clean stamping is definitely a skill. So we’ve found a much MUCH better solution:

  • Ready printed on parchment
  • Full Colour, AND
  • Black lineart
  • 3 Different sizes, with plenty of room around the the outside
  • 18 Poppets in total. The 6 Christmas ones plus 12 fabulous new ones.
  • 6 designs in each pack. 3 colour sheets of each. 3 black of each
  • 108 images in each pack.
  • 324 images in total.
  • The price? Unbeatable birthday offer: Less than £50 all 3, including an A4 storage folder

You will be blown away by what you can do with these images printed on parchment! The colour ones are superb, and the black prints are right up my street. Linda sent me a sample which I promptly fell in love with. In fact, she’s the reason I got so far behind today!! No no no. Not Linda. The little poppet! I got so immersed in the prep shading – it was wonderful. Want to see? Hang on. Let me find a picture….

Yep. Beautiful, isn’t it? And that’s just ONE of the Christmas ones! The picot frame is perfect with it. Recognise it? It’s from Linda’s Winter children plates…

Right. That’s the WOW launch all ready. Now there’s just the other 10 hours!

I hope you will like these printed parchement poppets as much as we do !! Pergamano did a little run of these way back in the day apparently, and people loved them, according to Linda and a few other trad parchers. So I am optimistic.

Love and hugs,

Barb xxx

  1. The printed parchment Poppets are fantastic. The new characters are so sweet and lots of different occasions are covered by them. I bet they don’t last the weekend!
So looking forward to all the shows.
Relax a little tonight to conserve your energy.
    Love and hugs Xxxx

  2. Absolutely gorgeous, not sure I will be able to resist but will have to try!
I already have the last lot, so are these in addition to the others or do you have to buy less if you bought the last ones? Can’t wait till the weekend xx

  3. As a trad parcher I loved the pergamano ones from way back,so sure these will fly, hope there will be other designs to follow in the future. Shopping basket all ready and waiting 🙂🙂

  4. How beautiful. Good luck with your prep – how about some super simple real time demos for any newbies or people who don’t have a lot of time or patience? That will buy you some time! X

  5. Certainly going to be a weekend WOW !!! The Poppets are lovely.
Just received some money I was owed so the bank manager won’t be quite so unhappy when I start spending.
Hope all the prep goes well. Try to get a little down time too.
    Stay safe.

  6. I remember them well. So lovely to work with. Trad patchers will just love these new ones. I can see why they do not translate into Groovi, but all the hard work is done anyway if they are ready printed. Happy days!

  7. Hi Barb,
They look so cute! I haven’t had a chance to play with my little poppet stamps yet and you’re bringing new ones out!!! I like the idea of them printed onto parchment too. Don’t think I’ll be able to watch in hospital but I’ll have the shows recorded at home. Hopefully, I might be out by Sunday ( if I’m a good girl and can bend my knee and walk up and down stairs!) . Have to say Covid swabs aren’t a nice experience, but essential. Hope the rest of the prep goes well. Love and hugs Alison xx
Ps Thank you to Diane and Jane for your well wishes xx

  9. Oh dear, and I was planning to be so good! If I only have 2 meals a day, additional bonus – I could lose weight and get back into some of those clothes in the ‘hope to wear again wardrobe’, no spending on new clothes, hence money available for craft products. Looks like a plan!

  10. Hello Barb, Well I think this is going to definitely blow the doors off, and I see plenty of bank managers and spouses/other half’s hanging their heads in despair. Not your lovely followers though, they look like they are raring to go. Love the little snippet of a demo you have shown, looking forward to the shows. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx
