Kaa Salama! Stay Safe!

Kaa Salama! Stay Safe!

Hi there.

Thanks for popping in. Had such a fun morning in the SHAC Shack. Who knew we spoke Swahili too?!? To be continued…when? Tomorrow at 10 am of course!

To continue the Africa Day Celebrations and get your creative juices flowing, let’s take a look at a few fab artsamples which I found in our Africa Box…

These wonderful animal stamps have been illustrated by our good friend Mel Turner. Come complete with masks.

And I drew the Maasai warrior and his wife.

Both stampsets are available individually of course (and greatly reduced this week!) Or buy both and only pay for one. Half price?!? CLICK HERE. Now that’s a biashara! (Bargain in Swahili!!).

I think I’ll have a play with the warrior and his wife tomorrow, so to speak…And if you haven’t got these stencils, then check them out…another half price AFRICA celebration sale…

Must crack on. Have an idea for the SHAC Shack frame …..

Kaa Salaama!

  1. Beautiful cards. I am really enjoying out trip to Africa this week, and learning a new language. At church we often sing a song in “shona” which is a South African language. It’s aways fun learning new things. Thank you x

  2. Beautiful. Have the Massai warrior but not the animals. Will have to add them to my list for Friday.
    Have a good evening.

  3. Beautiful images. There is so much beauty from out of Africa. Can’t wait to see what our scenic addition will be. Apprehensive about an Acacia tree, but will give anything a try and as they say in Swahili – Hakuna Matata (no worries).
Thanks to the lovely Sally, for sending my April Groovi club replacement and to Paul for sending out my order so quickly. What a lovely crew you have. Have a lovely evening. Hugs. Annette X

  4. Enjoying Africa , used these stamps recently for my nephew’s birthday card as he and his wife went on safari for their honeymoon . Looking forward to seeing the landscape , pleasantly surprised myself with my African family x

  5. Quite a few years ago I had the privilege of going to Dakar in Senegal and saw a lady with a large bowl on her head with a very large fish in it the head stuck out one side and the tail the other, thank you for reminding me of this fun sight and wonderful time. I’ve Been with you from day one .Thank you for teaching me to draw things I
    never thought possible. Margaret Bird

  6. Was all over the place today the first time since day one I had to miss our get together at 10.00 so caught up this afternoon just not the same. You’ve got to be in it live. Loving our African trip and will be there at 10.00 in the morning. My mouths don’t look right! Xx

  8. Hi Barb,
I have the Warrior set but not the animals – I’ll have to have a think about them. My Mam and Dad lived in Kenya during the War and could both speak Swahili. I remember once being up in the attic in their house looking for something and I came across a Swahili phrase book from the War era. When I asked them about it , they told me that they could both speak it! They had never mentioned it before ( or again) . Well I finally got my hanging baskets planted up today, so just the bedding plants to get in now – all 250 of them!! Dave is going to be very busy I think!! Love and hugs,Alison xxx

  9. Sorry Barbara, I already have all the Africa stamps, just love them. Messed up my african family faces can hardly see their mouths once I coloured them black, I think they’ll look ok if I black their mouths out altogether though. I think maybe I’ll have another go with your download later. Love doing the patterns. Looking forward to tomorrow’s to see what’s next.xxx

  10. Hello Barb, absolutely gorgeous samples, have some stamps and stencils, so should have a go. Need to do the download too. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx

  11. Oh dear – I’ve not even made it to Japan yet! My work has been much busier since lockdown, so it’s just as well we can’t have any guests in the B&B. One day I will catch up with your round the world trip and I’m loving seeing everybody’s amazing artwork – what a talented bunch you are. X
