On the Horizon…

On the Horizon…

Hi there!

Thanks for popping in. Been prepping away here for Sunday’s TV shows with Paul. First the 2-4 show with those amazing Doodleology stamps. Cannot stop playing with them!

Then there’s a new format at 6pm, with a new TWO hour ODS (One Day Special) launch, instead of just one hour. By the time we usually walk down the counter and talk about what’s on offer, the hour’s nearly over! So we have decided that a 2 hour launch would suit us much better; then we can actually showcase properly, and do some demonstrations. Paul and I are ping-ponging, as we’ve decided to call it. Me-him-me-him-me-him etc. Spreading the load…

Here are a few little peeks at what has been prepared so far…it’s uncanny how many variations and different country scenes there are looking through these little windows!

There are 4 windows. Here is one. So you can see – when you compare with the card above – that each window can be split straight down the middle too. You can use the panes independently, and they mix n match perfectly. Mel Turner! You are a very, very brilliant illustrator!

I know Mel reads this ’ere blog every day. So feel free to give her a huge pat on the back below! She will be chuffed to bits for sure.

And the icing on the cake for me, is that these 4 wonderful country scene dies are also coming to you as Quarterettes! Remember the exquisite little ones? Yep….Here are just two of them joined together:

See how the whole countryside panorama joins up? Tessellates?

So. If you liked the first set of panoramic dies, you will absolutely love these! Blimming brilliant!! And a great price! £54.95 (save £20). The original Panoramic dies are also on the show at the same price.

I have a feeling we will be very busy on Sunday…

Must get back to prep.

By the way, we have a worthy winner of the £200 Clarity Hamper. Thank you so much everybody who joined in. Let’s hear a cheer for the winner!

  8. Hi Barb,
    Happy New Year to everyone!
Congratulations to Mo, have a fab time playing with all your new goodies – I’m not envious at all!
Well done to Mel for a brilliant set of designs . I am really looking forward to the shows and I think it’s a great idea to have a two hour launch show as well. The recorder will be set for all shows. Love and hugs,Alison xxxx

  9. Well done Mo – enjoy your prize.
My bank account is weeping at the thought of all the purchases I am about to make 😥 but I will be smiling all the way to the craft room when they arrive. Mel must have been reading my mind when she created these dies. The fact that they can be split in half without destroying the basic design is great and opens up more possibilities for their use. Thanks Mel and Barbara.
Caught up today on most of the housework that was ignored over the holiday – very satisfying. Just need to tidy the craft room and I’m done.
    Have a good evening 🍒🍒🍒

  10. Well done Mo on winning the hamper and thank you Clarity for such a fun advent quiz! Those designs look fabulous and when you can’t stop playing with something it’s always a sign that it was a good buy. I’ve been playing with my bauble die from the NDC today – thought I would make an early start on next year’s cards whilst the Christmas decs are up and it’s still feeling festive !!! x

  11. Mel….they are lovely, so cute in the small format. It is a mark of good design that they can be made either bigger or smaller. They are on my list.
    Love
    Maggie (Bendy Yorkite)
PS thanks for writing tessellate – I wasn’t sure how to spell it!

  12. Congratulations Mo on winning! I found it amazing how I knew so many products on the site. I’m sure these will be a sell out.

  13. Great designs Mel! Looking forward to the shows/demos etc and having a two hour launch is a brilliant way to start off.

Congratulations on your prize Mo, fantastic start to the year for you and hope your luck continues throughout 2020! xx

  14. Love the new dies. I have the last set but haven’t had a chance to play yet, so will have a think about the new set -I love them so much but don’t make so many cards now as my hands are rather quickly seizing up after 3 operations and 2 more needed. I’ll just have to think of something to justify buying them!! Congrats to Mo. I got them all right too, but am not envious -much!! Loved doing the hunt, and hope there will be another one at the end of this year.

  15. Hi Barb, glad you’ve had a productive start to 2020. These new designs of Mel’s are brilliant, and in the wee size, defo going on my list. Mel is so talented, and clever, in her designs, always unique too. My autistic brain can really appreciate the perfect detail and cleverness of Mel’s designs.

Congratulations to Mo, enjoy your New Year gift from Clarity.

I’m looking forward to watching all your shows at the weekend. Hopefully you’ll get my crafty mojo back in gear too… Glad you are sharing the hours with Paul, I was a wee bit worried (well maybe more than a wee bit!) when I read just your name down for the shows as I know how exhausting the 2 days are for you.

Hope you have your feet up, chilling in front of your fire with Dave. Love you xxx

  16. Congratulations Mo, enjoy choosing. Wonderful designs as ever from Mel can’t wait to see what you do with them. Xx

  17. Congratulations Mo on winning this year’s Elf Hunt!
As always Mel your designs are brilliant, not just in themselves but how they allow us to be creative and have fun by being able to use them in so many different ways, especially the tessellation! Really looking forward to some great demos from you and Paul, Barbara! Looks like the new year is starting at a cracking pace, hope I can keep up!

  18. Well done Mo for winning the hamper. I am sure you will have lots of goodies. I was never going to win, made a silly mistake and somehow mixed up the answers to 6 & 8, Ugh.
Well done Mel for the new dies. It is great that they will be offered in the small format.
I hope the weekend won’t be too taxing for you Barbara but what a good idea, a 2 hour show shared with Paul. Looking forward to the demonstrations.

  19. I loved the trees and these are fantastic too. Thank you Mel for your imagination and creativity. Like forward to the demos on Sunday. X

  20. Congratulations to Mo for winning the hamper of goodies which I am sure she will have great fun playing with & thank you to Clarity for arranging the competition throughout December.
Congratulations as well to Mel for designing yet another great set of dies. I love the first set so it would be only right to add the new ones to my stash. Must set the programmes to record & remember that the 6pm show is a 2hr one. A great idea so at least we should see some demos if they fly off the shelves as predicted !!

  21. Hi Barb, really super dies and stamps coming up on Sunday. Mel has certainly hit the mark with the new die designs. And well done Mo, enjoy all your goodies. Take care all.Bx

  22. These new dies are brilliant! So what if I start the new year as poor as a church mouse with these new dies I’m going to buy, at least I will enjoy crafting with them. Happy New Year everybody.

  23. Congratulations Mo, enjoy your prize. Mel Turner, you truely are a clever designer. For me these dies sre a must have. Looking forward to seeing the demos from Barb and Paul.
Happy New Year to everyone at Clarity. May all your dreams and plans be worth the headaches.
Love and hugs to you all
    Alison D x

  24. Thank you for all your lovely comments – I’m still on cloud 9 and grinning like a Cheshire cat all the time. Thanks again to Clarity for a wonderful hunt and no doubt a great prize which I’ll get on Monday.

Looking forward to tomorrow’s shows, especially the new dies. Barb’s right, Mel you are an amazing illustrator – these are gorgeous dies. I have the Panoramic Quarterettes and they’re fab.

Off to tidy my craft room as I bought a mini stereo 📻 for it so I can spend some more Groovi moments in there – both on parchment and dancing💃!! 🎵 “I can see Clarity now the rain has gone …” 🎶

  25. Many congrats to Mo 🙂

These dies are superb indeed, I’ve set the box to record all the shows – got my eye on the quarterette set.

Best wishes for the New Year to all x
