Easy – when you know how!

Easy – when you know how!

Hi there.

Thanks for popping in. And thank you to all of you who joined in with the Guess-the-Arty-process-Competition. Did anybody get it exactly right? Afraid not. But a couple of you came very, very close…

Here’s how:

Now there were two of you who almost nailed it, so I would like to send each of you a £25 Gift Voucher each. Split it down the middle. And those two clever ladies are …drumroll…..

Ann Hooper and Dawn Rogers.

Well done ladies!! Please email me your address, so we can send you your prizes.

Time to put on some lovely music and tidy up this artroom of mine! Looks like a bombzitit !!!

Love & Hugs,

Barb xxx

  1. Cor, I would have been elbows deep in acrylic paint so I’m glad I didn’t try it yet! Easy when you know how is so true. Congratulations to the winners. Xx

  7. Well done Anne & Dawn, enjoy spending your vouchers. Like Donna I was going down the acrylic paint route but I got the black sparkly embossing powder bit !! Love the pictures showing how you did it so will put it on my to do list for later on. Lovely to be able to open the doors & windows for some fresh air & not get blown away.

  8. Well done ladies. I would have been slightly off if I had entered and as I thought it was a designer paper on the white bit I might have still been there looking for a match. x

  9. Congratulations to the winning ladies. I thought the background to the white one was one of your scrap masterpieces. How wrong was I. Have added this technique to my book of “how to’s” for future reference.
Hope everyone is enjoying this glorious sunshine, we certainly are 💐 the garden looks lovely.
Back to parching now – Ray’s cooking dinner – I can just relax!!!
    Bye for now 🍒🍒🍒

  10. Crumbs I really got that one wrong lol! I too would have had other supplies out. Congrats to the winners and thank you for putting that die on special offer – I now have one winging its way here lol! Along with a couple of stencils and some stamps of course. Thank you for the tutorial too Barbara, I know what technique I’ll be trying once my order arrives, have a good week everyone xx

  11. I more or less got in my mind the black part but couldn’t for the life of me work out the white…lol, so congratulations to Ann and Dawn. x

  12. Congratulations to the clever winners. I’d have had it completely wrong had I entered. Beautiful day here today in Warwickshire visiting our daughter. Had a lovely afternoon at Hidcote gardens.xxx

  13. Well done ladies! I completely forgot to go back and try to work it out, but I don’t think I would have got anywhere near. Happy Sunday everyone x

  14. Ah… clever! I’ll bet I wasn’t the only one who thought you’d used two pieces of designer paper and simply inked the white one! Enjoy your prizes ladies, I got the black one right but couldn’t suss out the white one… onwards and upwards to the next teaser.

  15. Didn’t quiet get that right but didn’t send in congratulations to winners forgot all about it must do it straight away next time. Well Bobs gone to work on his last night shift tonight, tomorrow will be a pensioner and retired. New stage of life for us new adventures start x

  16. Congratulations to Ann and Dawn, thanks Barbara, will try this tomorrow. Off to bed, reading a great book. lots of love to everyone, Donna X

  17. Thank you for choosing me for my solution and congrats to Dawn as well. I love the leafy swirl – I’ve already got it as an A5 stencil and when I saw the die (and the reduction for this weekend), I dropped a not so subtle hint to my daughter for an idea for Mothering Sunday! – which she’s said she’s done.

  18. Hi Barbara
Can you hear us all going ooooh so that’s how it’s done! I must have a go at this as I have the bits and pieces I need, just need to wait for my die to arrive. Congratulations to the two lucky winners.
    Love Diane xxx

  19. Hi Barb, thanks for the details of how you achieved these cards, definitely one to try. Well done to the worthy winners, I would not have got much beyond cutting and embossing the black card. Take care all. Bx

  20. Hi Barb,
Congratulations to the two winners. I have to confess that my brain didn’t click in to this one! I’m still no wiser though as for some reason the step by step pictures that others are talking about are not appearing on my iPad – for some reason they are behind the main photo and no matter how I try will not appear. This is not the first time that this has happened either, so I’m not sure what is happening. If you finished tidying up your craft room would you like to pop up here and do mine lol! Love and hugs,Alison xxx

  21. I’m using my laptop and can’t see any explanation of how it was done! How do I get to this explanation? Help !!!

  22. I am unable to find the solution within the blog. Please could you explain where it is as I am unable to find any links. Thank you.
