I visited a Queen on Youtube Tuesday !

Hi there.

Thanks for popping in today. Here’s a Youtube I did showing off Josie’s fantastic Grid Duet plates. Like most things parchment, it took a while, both to film and edit! But hey! This is the only way I could think to get across how to use these fab grids efficiently.

I do hope you enjoyed that! There is a 20% discount on many of the items I used in the video,

  1. Fabulous video Barbara. It is so easy to follow and think it answered everyone’s questions. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. Already looking forward to seeing the Kings. Hugs from Canada 🇨🇦

  2. Great demonstration certainly demonstrated the cutting out technique as I am hesitant of trying.
Also because it is a video one can go back and watch it again and again. for someone who is a slow learner. Thanks for that Barbara.
    Mary x
p.s. guess what plate I have ordered?

  3. Settled down with a cuppa & chocolate ginger to watch your vid this arvo with Chromecast. Just the thing I needed after an afternoon of Bridge with U3A ( I sneak in as hubby’s carer😚) It’s quite stressful but strangely enjoyable, hopefully keeping my brain cells active & juicy. ♣️🃏♦️🃏♥️🃏♠️
Thanks for syncing my account…..I was lost without my club discount for while.😱

  4. Great demo on YouTube – easy to follow. I have the Queens and will buy the Kings when available. Did I hear that Princes and Princesses may be in the offing?
Sea surges and floods on the Norfolk coast today, lucky for us we are inland so not affected but I feel for those who are. Freezing weather was forecast so I put on a warmer duvet today but local news now tells us things may warm up. Oh well, what else can we expect from our British weather!!!
I’m going to carry on smiling, crafting and be glad the days are now getting longer.
    Have a good evening. Hugs.

    1. Hi Cherry,
Sorry to hear that the Norfolk coast has been hit but obviously please that you’re ok. The N. Norfolk coast is one of our favourite places and usually go to Blakeney every year for a week. I’m hoping that the bird reserves are ok as I know they were badly hit a few years ago. Love and hugs,Alison xx

  5. Thank you so much for that you tube tutorial Barbara. That is the one plate I was struggling to match up and your tip to do all the outside line first was brilliant. It will make it so much easier now.
I have several pieces using the Queen plates all embossed and ready for cutting, so as soon as my new scissors arrive, I can get going.
By the way, your wedding bouquet is so beautiful and looks as perfect as on your wedding day. Clever Rebecca! Hugs. Annette X

  7. Great video, clear and detailed. I can’t imagine how long it took to edit. My box of folders arrived today ready for this years monthly clubs. Well done to the ladies in the office for getting everything ready for all of us. Xx

    1. Hi Donna,
I’m hoping that today hasn’t been too bad! I know it is always a bit of a shock to the system! Love and hugs Alison xxx

  8. Hi Barb,
Great video today. I have all of the “Queens” and was struggling to work out the sizes but will try it your way – it seemed to make sense. I have got them all sorted for am 8 x 8 card – done one side and parts of 2 so I can use them as templates. Just have to work out 7×7 and 6 x 6 now. The video must have taken you ages to film and edit but it was worth it. Thank you very much. So looking forward to the Kings and other plates. Love and hugs, Alison xx

    1. Hi bloggy friends,
Hope everyone is ok . Was going to go swimming for the first time since the holidays , but started with a really bad cold so thought better of it. Just when I was looking forward to getting back in the pool. Oh well, just have to wait another week! Love and hugs,Alison xxx

  9. What a wonderful video
Thank you for the amazing tutorial. I too wanted to progress but couldn’t work out how 🤔. So thanks to Josie for designing the plates and to clarity for all the rest. Mwah

  10. Hello Barb, a superb video, even for a non parcher like me. You always do explain very clearly, and it shows in the comments from the peeps on the blog. The plates are lovely and many people are making good use of them. Take care all. Bx

  11. I now have all of the queen duets – this is wyt I started Groovi – to one day achieve lacework! My first attempt was 2 mm out – throw the whole pattern off. The You Tube video made it so straightforward, and the mindfulness achieved whilst I have now got one done was wonderful. Thank you for a brilliant gamechanger, and the patience to explain it to make such craft achievable. I guess that sums up a brilliant teacher?! Thank you so much
