Peace and Joy always
Ho Ho Ho!
How are you?! Having a peaceful, joyful Christmas i hope.
Forgive the late post – been spinning like a top, cooking, entertaining and having way too much fun! My jaw aches from laughing!
Started with a lovely brisk walk after breakfast. The weather was glorious, so we walked down to the ghyll, the ancient woodland near where we live.
The kids couldn’t resist the playground of course –
… only Dad remained the steadfast adult. He is doing so well ! It was hard to keep up with him, he has such long strides!
Mum stayed with Dave at the house, to nurse the turkey while we took in the warm sun and the blue skies.
Our Christmas dinner was excellent, even if I say so myself. Blimey! At the age of 59, I’ve had enough practice! If I can’t roast a turkey and mash a few spuds, whatever next?! And Sheila was in charge of desserts, so that takes the heat off, doesn’t it?
We raised a glass of hope and love, said a prayer for those less fortunate, and simply savoured food and family.
Watched the Grinch on telly and now we ’re settling down to another evening of togetherness.
So on that note, I will wish you a very happy Christmas. I hope that you have also had a great day.
Love always,
Barb

Glad you had a good day. Thanks once again for sharing it all.
Your family is amazing, so glad you had a good day. We had a lie in and a late breakfast, then with feet up and a cup of coffee we watched the 7am prog which we had recorded.
Ray prepared the turkey 🦃 for roasting and I set the Christmas table and did the veg, then we relaxed with some films and a festive glass 🥂until it was all ready. This has been the best Christmas for us in several years.
Hope it has been the same for everyone.
Love to all 🍒🍒🍒

Hi Barb,
Happy Christmas!
Thank you for your post today – sounds as though you’ve had a great day. Pleased to hear that your Dad is doing so well as well. We’ve had a lovely Christmas – went to my sister’s ( her turn to cook!) who unfortunately was a bit under the weather, but didn’t stop us from having a lovely day. I think it might have to be a walk tomorrow though to work off some of the excess calories of today! Love and hugs to you and your family and also to all bloggy friends , Alison xxx

Craciun fericit from Romania! We’re having a lovely time with my daughter-in-law’s family. I’m cooking everyone a traditional English Christmas dinner today 🌲
A beautiful family picture Barb, and your settings and food look great. Having family for Christmas is so special, and I have been blessed too this year with 13 sitting down for Christmas dinner. Take time to cherish and enjoy the company of all your loved ones. Bx
Great to see your family celebration Barbara which is what it is all about and glad you having fun and enjoying the time spent together. Hubby and I were alone but we enjoyed our day and did op for the traditional turkey dinner this year. x
Sorry, I haven’t had a drink yet today but can’t spell nevertheless..lol. That should read ‘you are having fun’ and ‘did opt’. x
