Not just any old Cheese Straws…

Not just any old Cheese Straws…

Hi there!

Thanks for popping in! It’s all go here! The weather has been less than lovely today, bit of mizzle, so we passed on the bust rip (errr… I mean bus trip!) to Brighton and stayed closet ohome (close to home!). This is what happens when you type fast!!

The Christmas Market at the Tunbridge Wells Pantiles (gotta support your local artisans), and then Champagne, Cheese and Carols at Crowborough Rugby Club prevailed. Oh yes! What a splendid carol singing session! Not your usual kind of carol singing service, but then, the clue was in the venue!

Those boys can certainly hold a note though! Most impressed!

Our kids were belting it out!

All that singing makes you peckish, don’t you find? So we came home to a cuppa and one of my favourite things – Cheese straws. Now these aren’t just any old Cheese Straws. No no no. These are your M&S est 1884 Cheese Twists. If I ever end up on a Desert island, I hope they grow there….

Grace caught me on camera, as I was tucking in….

They keep you young, don’t they? The kids, not the cheese straws!

Love & Hugs,

Barb

  1. 😹😹😹 great video ! I should have done that with my sister and her birthday cake! We’ve just come back from lunch there – her kids shipped in sandwiches and bits and pieces and a cake and a good time was had by all ! I bet there were some good ‘carols’ at the rugby club! Enjoy your break. X

  2. Just nibbling on cheese straws myself!! Been so busy I forgot lunch. No wonder I’m feeling peckish! Merry Christmas 🤶

  3. Hahahahaha don’t you just love kids – even the grown up ones!! 😂😂 That gave me a right old giggle, thank you. I knew the Rugby club would win out today. So glad you had a fabulous day. Xxxxx

  7. Great kids, they definitely keep you young. We all enjoy a good carol too. Lovely to see you having fun. Have a wonderful day tomorrow with your family.xxx

  8. I could do with a shed load of those cheese straws looks like they have amazing effects. I love all the seasonal food, will be facing the scales after Christmas and repairing the damage. It would be so rude to refuse it though after our kids have prepared it all. Well that is my excuse. Love a good Carol singing session. xx

  13. That’s so funny – M&S Cheese Straws heh? We all have a secret vice I suppose. I’ve been everywhere trying to get my Scottish sister-in-law some black bun, and finally got it in House of Bruar driving back down the A9. She’ll be delighted, but I’ll probably not even get a taster!!! x

  16. How lovely you are able to be with your family all these days doing fun stuff. My family will be here to morrow to selebrate Chistmas and we have prepaired nearly everything today. Frohe Wainachten / God Jul from Denmark to the Gray-family and the Clarity fans. Xx

  17. Hi Barb,
I love M&S cheese straws too, the only problem is once opened they’ve got to be eaten! Like Pringles! I’m trying to be good at the moment, but now you’ve put the idea into my head, I might just have to go and buy some tomorrow. Sounds like you had a good day and the carol service sounded like fun. Loved the video as well. As I know you celebrate tomorrow, I would like to wish you and all of your family all the best for the coming year and a very happy Christmas. Have a wonderful day with lots of laughter and fun. Wishing all bloggy friends the same too, love and hugs, Alison xxx
