What a little Gem!!

What a little Gem!!

Hi there.

Thanks for popping in.

Just got in from the Kent Craft Show. It was slower today, but I had a TV show at noon which went well.

Here’s the card I made, using Tina’s beautiful new Droplet and  Dreamcatcher Henna stamps. Beautiful to work with, they really are.

If you have a chance, and would like to know how I made this artwork, then head over to the Hochanda.com website. If you go to TV SCHEDULE along the menu bar at the top, and click, then scroll down to 12 noon CLARITY, you will see a button to the right, which says WATCH.

Click that, and you will be able to watch the whole hour in its entirety. Cool, huh?

Now the little gem in the centre is a neat little technique. It isn’t new. Been around for a while.

But it’s new to me, and I really enjoyed achieving it with nothing but the Perga Liner pencils and the white Pergamano gel pen.

STOP THE CLOCK .

Time to kick back, Indian tonight !!!

Love & Hugs,

Barb

PS Thanks again to the Clarity Crew. Top Banana! Always smiling, nothing ever too much trouble. Just good peeps.

  1. What a great show to watch today. I love the idea for the centre gem and have never seen it before.
Enjoy your Indian tonight. I shall be in bed very early, as I only got about 3 hours sleep last night, thanks to a very heavy snorer! Good job I was feeling mellow after watching the wedding, or I may have been in the cells today, awaiting a murder charge 🤪

  2. Unfortunately these look so gorgeous and sadly I may have to purchase these little beauties. On the plus side hubby can’t see my comments on your blog!!! 😂😂😂😂 Enjoy your Indian. Xxx

  3. Another set I need. They are beautiful, Tina you are amazing. Saw your show today Barbara and really enjoyed it. Heard you say you might make star book at retreat so that would be good but how about these gems. I am practising them but not got it quite right yet. I also got club post yesterday and all three are fabulous, I don’t know how you keep producing so many lovely designs. xx

  4. Saw a sneak peak of these dangles on an E-mail the other day and thought OH DEAR! Knew they would be popping into my basket and coming home to me. Love the little gem technique, have been seeing it lately on the DT samples and was hoping you would show it. Surprised to hear that today was slower than yesterday, would have thought it would have been the other way around. Enjoy your dinner. XX

  5. Evening bloggy friends, lazy day today after seeing The Shires yesterday in Folkstone. I did wash the car though, boiled in the sun so decided I needed to sit and watch Hochanda to cool off. XX

    1. Hi Donna,
Would you like to come and do mine now? Thought you would have been playing with your birthday present! Love and hugs Alison xxx

  6. Hello Barbara

Still got to watch your show as my grandson, Isaac, and great-granddaughter, Olivia, came for the weekend. Ages six and seven respectively so no chance to watch it live!

We learnt the gem technique at Tina’s workshop last month. It is great, isn’t it so lifelike.

    Love

  7. Surprised it was quieter today at the show. Love the card you’ve made Barb, great stamps of Tina’s designs. These gems are very popular now so must try to do one. Have a good relaxed evening after your long day. I’m about to watch you on catchup on Hochanda.xxx

  8. Hi bloggy friends hope you’ve all had a good weekend with sunshine. It’s been brilliant here today, take care, love and hugs Pam xxx

    1. Hi Pam,
Been a beautiful day here although I’ve been inside most of the day at Linda Page’s Groovi class which was brill as ever. Hope you’re ok, love and hugs Alison xxx

  9. Hi Barn,
Was surprised to hear that you weren’t as busy today. Looking forward to watching the show tomorrow as I haven’t had a chance to catch it yet – I had to record it. Love your sample here and the ” gem” is gorgeous. Seen these on a few things but not tried to do one yet, will have to watch carefully how to do it and then give it a go. Hope you enjoyed your Indian, love and hugs Alison xxxxx

  10. Hi bloggy friends,
Hope you’ve all had a lovely sunny day. Been to Linda Page’s Groovi Class today and really enjoyed it. Only problem, once I got home I decided I wanted to put a bit more glitter on my Peacock . I duly put the sticky ink on with my mapping pen and then reached for my Perga glitter and tipped it all over. Only problem – yes you’ve guessed, I’d poured the flipping glue all over!! That’s the second time I’ve done this would you believe!! Not at all happy with myself, but I will repeat the card as it was so pretty ( thank you Linda). Sending love and hugs to you all, Alison xxxx

  11. Beautiful card, lovely stamps, watched most of the show, also recorded it, so will be able to watch it again later and try the gem technique. Club goodies received yesterday, all brilliant, thank you. xx

  12. Hello Barb, watched a bit of the recorded show, and loved this demo, need to watch it again to see the gem bit though. The stamps are really beautiful, and perfect for so many types of cards. Take care all. Bx

  13. Hi Barbara
Gosh I’m suprised the show was quieter yesterday, I thought you would be really busy. Love this card and the new stamps, they are on my wish list. I haven’t seen the show yet as we went out for a walk around Exbury gardens and saw some beautiful azaleas and rhododendrons in such stunning colours. Hopefully will watch you on rewind today.
    Love Diane xxx

  14. Barbara, you really made my grandson laugh this morning when you were doing that gem. Every comment I made, you repeated immediately. Mort decided that I was right and you have a spy camera in my living room. I really enjoyed the show and I look forward to the shows later this week. xxx Maggie
