Meet the Artist – Pat Humby

Meet the Artist – Pat Humby

Hi everyone.
I hope you all had an enjoyable Sunday.
Mine was full of doing nothing!!
Here is card no.4
from Pat Humby
This is how I think Pat has created today’s card:
Take a piece of 7″ x 7″ stencil card
using a selection of Artistry Ink Pads
apply the colour with our Stencil Brushes.
When you are happy with the blend of colours,
position Jo’s Bubbles stencil over the card.
Take a blending tool and lightly spritz with water,
making sure that the sponge is not to wet, just damp.
Then dab, dab, dab through the stencil.
This will slowly start to lift the colour away.
Keep repeating until you are happy
you have removed enough colour.
If you remove to much colour,
wait for the card to dry and
then reapply with the Stencil brushes.
When you have finished removing the colour let the card dry.
Stamp Barbara’s favourite boy,
Fly Away Boy using a Black Archival ink pad.
Then finish off with the verse,
So today’s 20% Blog Offer is:
available as a set HERE
The blending tool is available as a bundle
and is already on special price £10 instead of £14.99!
available HERE
Happy Crafting!

  1. A lovely card. I always admire the work of stampers and inkers! I have never indulged, but envy the talent of those who do and never tire of seeing their work. Annette X

  2. Hello Paul

Glad to hear you have had a day doing next to nothing. Only two weeks to the workshop at Colemans and I liked, what I presume to be, the sneaky peak of yesterday's workshop.

    Love
    Roz.xxx

  3. Sounds like you had a nice lazy day Paul. We have had a lovely family get together at our son's house. Lots of fun. Fabulous card Pam bet Barbara loved it with her favourite stamp on it. xx

    1. Hi Donna,
I hope tomorrow isn’t too bad! You’ll probably walk through those doors and forget you’ve even had a holiday – that’s what it felt like to me anyway! Love and hugs, Alison xxx

  4. Well done to Pat for creating a wonderful piece of work and loves those bubbles and the beautiful colours in the background, and the Fly Away Boy looks great here, also a super sentiment. Thanks for the 'how to' Paul. x

  5. Hi Paul,
Another really lovely card – well done Pat. The background is fabulous and the colours you’ve chosen are so vibrant and gorgeous. You were certainly onto a winner using Batb’s all time favourite stap as well. The verse is lovely and very apt.
    Thanks Paul yet again.
    Love Alison x

    1. Hi bloggy friends,
Very lazy day for me today, although I did trace out a new baby card that my friend has asked me to make for her. Did watch the England v Australia netball match which was so exciting- we’ll done England. Sending love and hugs to you all, Alison xxxx

  6. Lovely card from Pat!
Good to hear you had a lazy day Paul… Sometimes it's what you need.
I had a wonderful inky playday at Maria's workshop… Oh she did work us hard! Haha!
    Love and hugs! Xxx

  7. Hi Paul, a beautiful card from Pat, using Barbara's favourite boy stamp. And thanks for the step by step, did not think it was water, but remember Barb doing a demo on that. Take care all. Bx
