  1. I really enjoyed that video, Barbara. I love using that kind of painty inky background and have a growing pile of them. Some work brilliantly for parchment to. The ladies at the local craft shop classes look at me as though I were mad (I am but that's another story) when I spritz my blending mat at the end of a session and swooch and swish a piece of stencil card or copy paper through what is left. I really must use more of them though as the mountain is growing. Love the stencils and have lots of ideas for those or bits of them. Thanks for creating them, Mel, and the sentiments are very apt. xxx Maggie

  2. Such pretty Springtime stencils Barbara and a great video using them. I love putting things on smooshed bits of paper or card and the gelli plate printing works well with stencils too as does a machine to transfer the paint, and it did it wonderfully well too. I must try this soon. x

  3. Brilliant!! I've been waiting for this stencil to come out and have sent for it now. I don't have the slow drying paint but I have an extender stuff that slows the drying time so I'll use the acrylic paints I bought from you what seems like years ago (probably 2 years)!! I look forward to trying this technique.

  4. Lovely to see how you've made three wonderful pieces of artwork here. Oh, and I particularly liked the way you cleaned up the border before taking the print from the gel press – it would never have crossed my mind to do that, but of course it made the finished piece so much prettier.
Would the transfer technique work with Artistry or Distress Inks too?
Something caught my eye in the title sequence too, so I had to rewind and pause the video to take a closer look – a wonderful stencil with a group of animals including a badger! Do I remember you giving us a sneak preview of this one a few weeks back? I can't see it available on the website yet, but maybe it'll be available at Happy Stampers in May?

  5. Hi Barb,
Brilliant new stencils from Mel – she is so clever. Great video too and an excellent tip about cleaning off the edges before pulling the print – never seen you do that before – makes it much neater. Must make some backgrounds although mine never come out as good as yours! Looking forward to the shows tomorrow and the Mandalas. Love and hugs Alison xxx

    1. Evening bloggy friends,
Way past my bedtime tonight! Hope you’ve all had as good a day as possible. Don’t spend too much tomorrow ( says she!) love and hugs to you all, Alison xxx

  6. Hello Barb, the stencils are beautiful, and your video is brilliant, showing how to take the various prints. I always laugh when you call the ebosser a mangle. Take care all. Bx

  7. Hi Barbara
Another great video and beautiful stencils too. I haven't plated with my gel I press for ages and this has given me the nudge I need. I like the way you cleaned away the edges before you just used the middle bit, oh that made so much sense to me. I go love the humour in your videos, great work team.
    Love Diane xxx
