A Blend of Old and New.
Hi there.
Thanks for popping in.
Just a quickie. Had a super morning with the young people who will be joining our team soon.
You know, ‘Andy and ‘Andy! Aka Lucy and Alec.
What a great addition to the Clarity family.
I was doing some clearing out this afternoon,
and came across these old beauties. Who remembers these stamps?Cor blimey! That takes me back!
and then there’s the single sexy corset with the feminine legs.
I’d still say that the feminine leg was the fastest stamp I EVER designed!
It’s how I write!
But add those old stamps to these new Designer Cards –
with a dash of pencil shade here and there – and we’ve thrown a whole new light on them.
What’s important is that we don’t forget our old stash whilst hurtling onwards and upwards. I know things trend, but there are things buried in the back of the cupboard that gave us pleasure then, and are still sure to delight.
Wow! That sounds a bit cryptic, doesn’t it!
Whatever you are doing at the weekend, I do hope you have a pleasant one.
Hoping to have more time for art tomorrow.
Love & Hugs,
Barb

Oh yes ! I think I have that somewhere ….. might be a good idea for a Feb birthday and possibly a bit quicker than Groovi – of course that depends on how long it takes me to find the stamp ! Glad you had a good day. Have a good weekend xx
Those new cards are fantastic! (and they smell lovely too) hahaha!
I'm off to Maria's workshop on Sunday so yes….great weekend!
Hope you have a relaxing time too.
Love and hugs Xxxx
Lovely images still all these years on.
Looking forward to an evening of crafting now I have managed to get home through the snow from work.
Two beautiful looks using this Corset Montage and go beautifully over your beautifully designed cards, love the shading too. You are right Barbara, we need to look through our collection of goodies more often and dig out those neglected pieces which can always look fresh and pretty in your hands. x
I have the butterfly montage stamp (but without the separate butterfly so I have to stamp it twice!). Must dig that out and have a play.
I hope everyone has a good weekend. Mxx
Love this! Have a good weekend xx Glad that you Have found some great people to join the team xx
These stamps look great on your lovely card. Nice to bring them back refreshing our memories and the stamps. Have a relaxing weekend Barbara.xxx
Hi bloggy friends, Hope you are all ok and keeping safe and warm, espcially those of you up north with the snow. Have a lovely weekend everyone.xxx
Hi Pam,
Been cooped up all day again apart from hanging washing out. Snow not really shifting to much but hopefully will thaw tomorrow. Have a good weekend, love and hugs Alison xxx
Have a lovely weekend Pam xxx
I am very guilty of neglecting my stash for new goodies, but it is so hard to resist when more and more beauties keep appearing. I really must make an effort to use my older stuff. Thank you for the nudge.
Have a great weekend everyone and stay warm. Annette x
My favourite stamp is the leafy swirl, that's one from a while ago. It comes our of the folder quite regularly when I need a little something. I am hoping for a crafty weekend, no plans for what I'll make so anything goes! Xx
Evening bloggy friends, Happy Friday to everyone. Make sure you stay away from the slippy white stuff if you have it! Xx
Hi Donna,
Yes, we've still got it! Did manage to step outside to hang my washing out now that I can do it from the patio. Dave still wasn't too happy that I'd gone out to do it! Have a great weekend, love and hugs Alison xx
Beautiful love those stamps there are some amazing stamps over the years loved them all xxx
Gosh that takes me back x
These stamps and the sketchy shoe are still some of my favourite stamps ever! Some things never get old x
Hi Barb,
Have these stamps although must admit I haven't used them in a while. I can remember doing the corset in fantasy fibre and lacing it up. Glad your meeting with Alec and Lucy went well. Looking forward to Sunday's Groovi session with Linda. Love and hugs Alison xxxc
Hi bloggy friends,
Hope everyone is safe and warm after the snow, ice and winds. Had a bit of a crafty session with Fresco paints today – got up to the eyes but enjoyed it. Sending love and hugs to you all, Alison xxx
Hoping the thaw continues up here in the North East too Alison, will see you Sunday at Linda's workshop xx
Totally agree with you Barbara. I have stamps going back to the year dot and every so often I get them out and use on -something I should do more often! I wish you could do a blog ,even once a month, using 'old' stamps, maybe with a new twist, to encourage us to get out our old stash instead of constantly buying more.
Not got these stamps but have added them to my wishlist, do remember your TV demos with them tho.. Good luck to Lucy and Alec it'll be good to see them fit into the team! xx
So true must be time for a play with old favourites, I have a free evening tomorrow, guess what I'll be doing xx
Have duplicates of these and they’ve been well used. Just had another idea, too. ;~}
Hi Barbara
Yes I'm guilty of having lots of old stuff that gets forgotten so yes I will be digging them out to use again. It's nice to see a modern twist on an old favourite though. Were you making space for Alec and Lucy to sit down I wonder. Have a lovely weekend.
Love Diane xxx
Hi Diane,
Have a great weekend. Love and hugs,Alison xxx
They look great Barbara! I am resisting going to a big papercraft show today to encourage myself to use what I have already…..including the mini word chains which have arrived – what fun!
Hello Barb, this is one of my all time favourite stamps, and it looks beautiful on the Clarity designer card. I am setting myself a challenge to try make at least one card a week using either my older stamps/stencils or dies. Let's see how long that lasts. Take care everyone. Bx
