For you x A Rainbow River step by step….

For you x A Rainbow River step by step….

Hi there.
Thanks for popping in.
Thanks also if you watched HOCHANDA yesterday and today.
And thanks thrice if you invested in our paper & parchment duets.
The bumper bundle sold out about 5 minutes before the end of the last show! That’s called perfect in my book!
Here’s a simple Groovi project I did at 9am using that bright and beautiful first page in Rainbow River.
So let’s extract a lovely butterfly from one on Mel’s Groovi designs
Butterfly Rounds
Add the letterboxes  and words top and bottom.
This is what it looks like from the front.
Perforate round the edges with a Pergamano 2-needle bold tool

Then cut out with Pergamano scissors.
Exclusive Scissors are the ones I like.
Time to mount on a lovely new designer paper, which will make the butterfy stand out. You may like to add a little whitework to the butterfly or the letters, but you really need no extra colour – it’s all in the parchment!

Trim and mount on red parchment.
That’s all you need.
Let the background do the work for you!
Time for supper.
I am so hungry!!
Dave’s cooking scrambled eggs and smoked salmon.
Am on a diet. Trying to lose some weight.
Moving in the right direction, but very slowly.
Cluck cluck.

There was a time I could drop half a stone in a weekend dancing!

If this stone doesn’t shift soon, I may have to resort to some old moves!!

hahahahaha!
Love & Hugs,

  1. Do let us all know how you get on with losing weight. Will think of you and Dave dancing. My favourite scene is Dirty Dancing “Nobody puts Baby (or maybe Barbara), in the corner.”

  2. You didn’t look as if you needed to lose weight ! I’m doing the same and had scrambled eggs for tea too, without the smoked salmon as I’m not keen. Lovely demo ! Xx

  3. Good luck with the weight loss. I'm still on my slimming world diet, and the trick seems to be having at least 1/3 of every meal you eat as an unprocessed fruit or veg (non-starchy). It helps that I have gall-stones, so eating high fat foods gives me pain. Really enjoyed your shows, and have Paul's recorded to watch later x

  4. Great demo Barbara!
You looked lovely but if you want to dance turn that music up and do it! You busted some moves at Maria's wedding for certain!
    Have a good evening!
    Love and hugs

  5. Hi Barb,
I must say you didn't look as though you need to lose any weight! You looked fabulous both days. I've hit my two stones loss so due to see consultant 29th of next month so hopefully he'll redo my knee replacement shortly after that. The shows have all been brilliant – I'm just watching the last one as I'm typing this. Sending love and hugs, Alison xxx

    1. Hi Alison, I've been good and have managed to resist, it's hard watching tv with your eyes closed! Haha. Good to hear you've got a date with the consultant, let's hope you can have the op soon. Take care xxx

  6. Hi Barbara
I saw you do this beautiful piece this morning before I dashed out to work. Love how it changed as you put it on the different parchment colours. Loved the new papers and parchments, I'm not surprised they sold out, they are beautiful. Good luck with the diet, put your headphones in and dance around the kitchen, that will make you happy. You always look good on tv but I know you've been saying you need to loose weight. Enjoy your dinner, sit back and chill with your lovely Dave.
    Love Diane xxx

    1. Hello lovely blog friends hope you've all enjoyed the shows. It's been quite chilly here today, not as cold as up north but still a bit of a shock to the system. Still I'd rather have it cold and clear than wet and cold. Sending hugs xxx

  7. When I had my gall bladder problem I kept to a very low fat diet, under 3% fat, and I lost the weight very quickly. In six months I dropped nearly two stone. At first I hated the diet but I did adapt and learned to be creative with the things I could eat. I have had the operation and am now more or less eating normally but must say I do need to put some back on but not all of it as I do think I feel healthier with less weight to carry and it is much easier to buy clothes. I hope you lose what you wat with not too much difficulty Barbara. Looking at you on tv you certainly don't look as though you need to lose much weight. Having bored you with my take on weight loss I will get on to your beautiful piece of work. The parchment really shows that buttterfly and sentiment off beautifully, and that red parchment looks great too. x

  8. Hello Barb, the shows were absolutely brilliant, great demos from all of you, and the paper and parchment pads are gorgeous, along with the stamps and plates. Good luck with the diet, I am sure you will reach your goal, well done lovely Dave on making that yummy dinner. Take care all. Bx

  9. The new papers look amazing. So tempted but after a bill of over £1000 for the car might have to hold back. Pension is being sorely stretched. Love your demos so many ideas running around in my head. Good luck with your diet, if I can do it you certainly can far more active than me. Having said that off for a walk now to local supermarket, no car. xx
