Open Day Set up Day

Open Day Set up Day

Hi there.
Thanks for popping in.
Mind the boxes everywhere! It’s a right old mess!
Nearly set for the celebrations here.
The van is going to be loaded downstairs in a while and then
we shall let the games begin!
I think we’re as ready as we’ll ever be for the Clarity Open Days down here at the Community Centre in Crowborough.
I just have to go buy some new black cloth, because what we have looks really rancid. Years of shows, vans, paint, staples and Sam Crowe have taken their toll, so I thought on this auspicious occasion, I would push the boat out and buy some spanking new table covers!

It’s all action stations here at Clarity Towers today.
Here we see Linda and her hubby Rob, packing up some kits for the party, and Lisa getting the artboards ready.

Dave is looking very serious.
Wheeling and dealing before we load the van.
That’s the thing, isn’t it? Life goes on. It just keeps on trucking.
I am playing catch up too, having stepped away from the plate (or should I say plates?) for a week, to go to New York.
But that’s all good; we can sleep easy again.
Exciting weekend ahead…
If you decided at the last minute that you want to join us, then you can get tickets at the door.
We will be all set to entertain at the
Crowborough Community Centre
on Friday and Saturday.
£6 entry per day.
Expert demos by the Clarity Team
Free Snip Clinic.
Free parking.
Free raffle with great hourly prizes.
It’s all a little hectic to be honest,
and jetlag is a monkey…

But it will be fun.
It always is.
Love & Hugs,
Barb

  1. Hi Barbara & ladies, hope everyone had a great time over the weekend.
Well you have brought us some fabulous new plates over the last few weeks.
    you do spoil us all.
Glad to hear Grace is on the mend, have a great weekend.
    Hugs Lynn xx

  2. Looking forward to the Clarity gig tomorrow. My shopping list is ready but I know I will buy extra. It's all toooo tempting and I have a very low resistance threshold – and I love it!!! See you all tomorrow. X

  3. so wish i could be there – I used to stay with my MIL in Chislehurst but she passed away in November. My husband and I will try and make the journey down and stay close by next year . However having just read your blog over my shoulder he did voice his concern over the free snip clinic ! lol ! When he had his " snip " years ago at the hospital we both worked at, he awoke with a large ribbon attached with signatures of all the nurses from his department on. They told him they had invited them in to post op to sign it so he knew they were thinking of him !! I hope the 2 days go really well – I will be thinking of you x

  4. All set ready to go then. I am sure it will all be great. Weather looking good as well for those menfolk who tag along to carry the bags home but sit outside chatting whilst they wait. See you tomorrow. X x

  5. Looking forward to the next 2 days, we arrived in Crowborough this afternoon so I had a walk up into the town to see how long it will take me to get to the Community Centre. It seemed to be a hive of activity as I passed so can't wait to see what you have lined up for us. OH has sussed out the fishing so all is good for a great weekend!!

  6. Just ready for an early bed, so that I will be ready for a great couple of days of inspiration. Good journey down, including a tour of the forest. Had a lovely meal in the hotel, despite the noisy table next to us (only joking – it was the Clarity team recovering after setting up), lovely company. I have to say, I am either going to be fitter when I go home or totally broken. My room is at the opposite end of the hotel from the lift, and then up a flight of stairs. The very nice man carrying my luggage looked quite bemused when I went up on all fours. Hope you all had a lovely meal, Barbara and team. See you in the morning. xxx Maggie

  7. Oh Barbara, tonight you have really lifted my spirits. My Mum is in hospital having had two mini strokes and things are not rosy. Then you post a picture of the jet lag monkey and my spirits are raised again! Wish I could get to Crowborough for the weekend of fun, but sadly I can't. Have a great couple of days.sx

  12. Hi Barbara
Hope you managed to finish the set up without too much stress. I'm sure you will all have a whale of a time once the doors open. I will make it there one day, had to chuckle at the snip clinic – haha, what a thought!! How about auctioning off the old black cloths as Sam Crowe originals!! Have fun everyone.
