Surprise!!!

Hi there…
Thanks for popping in.
Finally I can let the cat out of the bag!
Waiting quietly for Dad to come in for his
80th Birthday-Day at the Spa Hotel.
And then.
S U R P R I S E ! ! !
Look who came all the way from New York,
AND San Francisco.

Yep, Grace (and her lovely fella Nick)
and Mark flew all that way to be here,
and just for the weekend.
I have been dying to tell you!
But Dad reads the blog every day!!!!
It was pretty special!

In fact, I have to get back!
I just wanted to share a magical moment with you…

Time for dinner!
Love & Hugs,
Barb

I too have had a fantastic "family" day. 38 years ago I gave birth to my son! We all went out for lunch, and miniature train rides and the girls played on the playground equipment and then back home for birthday cake. Magical day. xx

How fabulous for your Dad! I bet he was chuffed to bits that Grace, Mark (&Nick) came all the way from the US for this special "do". Lovely for you too to have your lovely family all together. Hope you are having/ had a lovely time. Love and hugs Alison xx

    1. Hi Alison – I hope that you are not in too much pain now. Just seen your comment of yesterday & yes, it was great to meet up with Pam & her hubby! I would love to go to one of the Clarity Open Days – but June is out, as Neill will be recovering from his op. Pam told me that she really enjoyed Leyburn – maybe it would be possible for us to go to that! I shall keep my fingers crossed – love and hugs, Gilly xxx

    1. Hi bloggy friends – hope that your weather has been better today than it has been here in Cornwall. Started off ok, but then the rain came! Thank goodness my lovely neighbour came round to tell me that is was raining, so that I could get my washing in! Love and hugs to you all, Gilly xxx

    2. Hi Gilly, I am feeling much better thanks. It would be so good if you could make it to Leyburn. If you've not been to the Dales before it's also a great place for a holiday xx

    3. Hi Chris & Alison – it would be great to meet up with you both too! It is a long way from Cornwall – but in the motor home we could make lots of stops along the way – so fingers crossed xxxx

Been most of the night catching up on the last 10 days of blogs as we've been down to Cornwall on holiday. Shame I missed all the shows but heard how well they all went, record time for a sell out, amazing. Hoorah for catchup tv, watched the first 2 hours, brilliant. Great meeting up with Gilly, thank you Barbara for making that possible. Have a wonderful weekend with your lovely family, love and hugs Pam xxx

  14. Hi bloggy friends, hope you are all well and have been enjoying some time to craft. Hope you enjoyed the shows last weekend, sad I missed them but caught up with the first 2 hrs last night. Took my Groovi to Cornwall and managed to do the line art on quite a few small Christmas cards, ready for embossing and colouring now. Love and hugs Pam xxx

    1. Hello bloggy friends I've been busy the last couple of days and I'm playing catchup! Gilly I've met Pam too, she's lovely isn't she, Barbara introduced us at Ally Pally. Just been chuckling about Barbara shouting at Alexa, I worked with a teacher who used to tell the children not to shout at the computers because they were inanimate objucts. I caught her shouting at the photocopier one day and repeated her words of wisdom to her which we both found very funny. Sending hugs xxx

  18. What a wonderful surprise for your Dad's birthday Barbara and hope you all had a fabulous evening and time for a good old chat. x

  19. Dear Barbara, please could you ask your dad what he uses on he's face, cause he looks bloody fantastic for 80, and could earn a fortune. Happy Birthday Dad xxxx
