Dream on …..

Dream on …..

Hi there.
Thanks for popping in.
A little dreamy down time before bedtime, eh….
Let’s do something simple,
let’s use the lovely Northern Lights paper,
and let’s just stamp straight onto it.
Archival black and a whimsy house.
Well, more like a Fairy high rise really.
I love it!
Wouldn’t mind the top floor. What a view!
Mind you, no lift….

Decided to try out our Perga Liners. The Pergamano pencils.
They do a good job!
I only used the waxy ones in the box.
There are a load of water colour pencils in there too.
Hence the name Combi Box!

Added highlights and lowlights, to give that 3-D effect.

O-oh! Back gnome from a hard day at the office…
fairyly unelfentful.

Tell you what: this little Stardust gel pen is worth having.
It really does add a little glitter and a shimmer of pixie dust
 on any colour.
Just takes on the colour underneath.

Go for a wander with the Micron pen and make a funky border…

That’ll do.
Cheese on Toast tonight.
Way too late to cook.
As they say in Fairyland,
if you think I’m cooking after a 12 hour shift at the office
and a blog, DREAM ON!!
Kitchen’s closed – Elf yourself!

Love and hugs,
Barb

    1. Hi Sheila, finishing a Groovi 'undies' set for my pal from Brunei days – we met in 1979, a bit 'under the cosh' as time is swiftly passing and I've got to get it in the post tomorrow. Other cards to finish by tomorrow too. Oooooooooh! ;~}

  1. Lovely card Barbara. I had a lovely day today, starting out with coffee with two good friends this morning and then work this afternoon looking after four very energetic boys! This evening I am catching up with washings etc as I have been busy crafting rather than doing housework! Once I have folded the next load I think I will finish off the groovi items that started yesterday while visiting a very special friend.

  4. Love it Barbara, thank you for sharing. The house stands out so perfectly that it looks like you've cut it out and stuck it on. I have those stardust pens somewhere, I know where they were pre reorganisation, not too sure now!!!

Maybe no lift, but it sure would help towards your 10,000 steps each day, especially if you put the loo on the top floor!!!! My steps are going the other way just now with being a lot more ill!🙁

Hope you enjoy your cheese on toast, savour it extra special for me, me no can have either, although I do sneak in a tiny bit cheese, ssssh!!!
Hope you can put your feet up for the rest of the evening. Do you know tonight's Imagine is about Maya Angelou?
    Love Brenda xx

  5. Hi Barbara
Lovely houses and beautiful fairies on an amazing background, perfect. Think Elf and Safety might have something to say about the stairs and the lack of fire escape! 😂 Lol. Enjoy your cheese on toast.
    Love Diane xxx

  6. Hi Barb,
Brilliant! Brenda is right, the house does look as though you've stuck it on. Love it. Nothing wrong with cheese on toast either. Love and hugs, Alison xxx

    1. hi bloggy friends,
Hope today has been good for you. Well the man came to have a look at our table today. A pan lid had fallen from a height onto it and really put a dent in it on the edge. Anyway, he's fixed it and you can't even tell where the damage was!went to gym this afternoon to do upper body work but struggled a bit if I'm honest. I think I was too tired before I went. Love and hugs to you all, Alison xxx

  7. Barbara enjoyed your cheese on toast one of my favourites.im going to put a order in tomorrow for the northern lights pad along with some groovi and the lovely masks folder caught up with the shows from the other day amazing love the pencil set on my wish list xxx

  8. What a lovely bit of art. Love my wee fairy folk, thought I had this tree house so didn't order it in the sale then found out I didn't have it at all. Oh well, next time! Hope you enjoyed your Welsh rarebit. Xx

  9. That's a gorgeous design. Can't remember the last time I had cheese on toast. Oh I could really demolish a slice lol. May be I can work one into my eating plan tomorrow x Enjoy!

  10. Ooh, this one is just up my street – got the high rise fairy houses, got the fairy stamps, got the word chains and even the stardust pen…. bah… not got the Northern Lights pad (but it's on my list!) Anyhow had beans on toast for tea as spent the day with my mam since just after 7am and unfortunately she's now in hospital as it looks like the pneumonia has raised its 'ugly' head again. Hey ho will just have to wait and see what's what tomorrow, fingers crossed. xxx

  11. There is no lift in that house because fairies and elves have wings so they just fly up to their homes, and they can sprinkle fairy dust on everything they need to get up there. I have just ordered the fairies, elves and their home for my two littlest granddaughters. I know they will love them. Anyway, I think it's high time,I crawled up to my tower in the sky and fell into bed. So night night everyone. xxx Maggie

  12. Hi Barb, just stunning, love how you make a few simple stamps come to life with coloured pencils. Hope you enjoyed the Cheese on toast. Take care. Bx

  13. As usual, simply done, but a dynamic effect! I too would love one of those pens, very useful. Gotta have a bit of bling! Damn! I've just put an order in for a couple of Pergamano things, wonder if I rang this morning, if they haven't already sent it, they might be able to add to the order???? I'll give it a go. Oh dear, you just keep tempting me xxx

  14. Like the way you have given depth to this with just a pencil or 2. It's good to know you can just stamp on to background paper and get a great result like this. X

  15. Hello Barb,
This is fantastic, a work of art and so lovely. The border is brilliant and gives the finishing touch. Really, it's hard to pick out one thing as everything is just perfect.
