Tina Cox

Hi there!
Thanks for popping in on the first day of the week.
Have to admit, I am feeling a little worn out after a very long Saturday at the Harrogate Parchment Show;
I don’t ping back as fast as I used to….
then again, neither have the rest of our merry band!
So it isn’t just me!!!

If you were there, you will have got to see the lovely and very talented Tina Cox on our stand.

What a clever lady she is.
What she can do with a pattern grid blows me away!

Anyway, today I want to do something a little different.
Monday’s Blog is flowers and Trees, right?

Well, here is a collection of super little stamps
designed by Tina herself.

Butterflies and Flowers.

Very lovely and cool to use.
Tina designed them and even got them made,
and now we are selling them on her behalf.
So they’re not Claritystamps per se, but they’re Tina’s stamps –
and that works for me. Very good price, lots of little assets.
(They’re good quality photopolymer too).

Tina designed them to work on parchment AND card.
Wait till you see her samples!!

You can see here how she has stamped onto plain parchment using a black Archival ink pad,
and then done whitework on the flowers and butterflies.

Here’s a lovely piece of artwork, using the stamps on card.

Another card -parchment combination.
Very beautiful…

Fab panels on parchment.

Clever layering of the daisies here…

See how Tina has used our leaves Groovi Plate to create a background on the green?

Then of course you can use the butterflies to enhance
ANY parchment art!

Here is one of our little flower pot /vases Baby plates
put to great use…

So, whether you’re a Stamper, or a Groover –
or BOTH!

This is a delightful little stampset,
designed by one of the brightest stars in the parching sky….

Hope you enjoyed that little wander through the Tina Cox Gallery.

  1. Beautiful work – got to be on my Christmas list.
Hope you recover over the week, funny how we don't bounce back like we used to. I should be cleaning but grooving instead, much more rewarding.
    Love to all

Tina is so talented and you are truely price lagged to her on your team.
I am sure that after some time to yourself you will soon bounce back. Today I am having a house catch up day, sorting out post, bills etc. Also hoping to do some crafting tonight as Hubbie is on a back shift so will have piece and quiet to play.

  9. Stunning artwork. I am sure you will bounce back really soon Barb. Always takes me longer to get over excursions these days too. I've decided I am sticking at the age I am now and not getting any older!! Lol. I wish I could afford to keep up with all your lovely new goodies but these days Ibhavr to be more reseved about my buying habits cos me bank manager keeps shouting at me!! Lol. Xx

  10. Hi Barbara, not surprised you're feeling the effects of the weekend, that was some marathon you had on Friday and Saturday. Hope all your and your teams efforts were greatly appreciated as they deserved to be. You've worn yourselves out to provide a stand with demos, make and takes, friendly chat, everything Clarity as well as the your products for people to purchase. Hope you all are back on top form very soon.

Before Hochanda, watching Create and Craft I used to put the channel off when parchment craft came on… Except for Tina, always watched and enjoyed her shows. I think that says it all eh! Very talented lady, and who I think was first to try to bring parchment into the modern world, and combine it with card making too. Then you came up with the brilliant concept of Groovi, from Maria's wonderings. Perfect match you and Tina, Groovi and Tina's modern take on an old craft go so well together, I think. Lovely artwork, and ideas. Great to see Tina's parchment pieces up closer, to better see what I should be aiming for in learning the techniques. Thank you for sharing Barbara, and Tina.

Been thinking about yesterday's blog and now how you're feeling today, post show marathon. Many people too easily want to complain, make it known when not happy about something, put someone down, be nasty just because, take advantage of etc. in this society. And it appears some even go out of their way to. Way too few actually go out their way to tell someone, or a company they have got something right and how much they are appreciated. It's always something I've never understood. I do, and since the age of the internet it made thanking and appreciating people/companies a whole lot easier, much more accessible to achieve. Yet less and less people do. I didn't know that until my support were repeatedly telling me over the years how good I was at doing that. Thought it very weird to be praised for doing something everyone does, don't they… Obviously I learned I was so wrong in that thinking!

Why am I saying this? Here's Barbara, giving so much of her, her time, her life and off her, the inside her, to all crafters, us here especially, as well as to the craft industry. A leader and innovator in the industry. I remember your very first TV show Barbara, Clever Corners. Never heard of Clarity prior to this. You were so nervous. But within minutes I was hooked, I just clicked, connected with you, thought to myself this lady is truly amazing, as a person and in your art and products, truly inspirational in all ways. To the point I was telling you out loud you were fine, it's all good, no need to be scared, and willing it to you as hard as I could. I've never changed in my thinking and feeling from, of, you, except for it all to grow bigger the more I saw you and your products and especially since finding here. You truly are an amazing lady Barbara, not only one of the special people in the world, but also as an artist, and as a business woman. The world is better place with you in it, for sure. I couldn't appreciate you and everything you do for us any more than I already do, it's already off the scale.

I just wanted to redress the balance, of anyone who shouts too often and too loudly re what they conceive is wrong, not good enough, not what they want etc. and for those who don't give credit, thanks and appreciation where they should. Not many people in this world goes that extra mile that you do for us all. I feel so blessed to have found you. And I also very much appreciate all Team Clarity too. You all deserve all 14 awards and some.

Hope you have a good evening
    Love Brenda xx

    1. Thank you Brenda, for putting into words, what I feel. I certainly couldn't have put it better than that. I too can remember 'Clever Corners' and being hooked from then.. Sending a big hug for you and Daisy. xxx

    2. I agree with all you've said Brenda. I too remember clever corners, I must admit though I just couldn't line them up, so frustrating, something to do with varifical glasses I expect. Maybe I should get them out again along with my reading glasses.xx

    4. Hear, hear from me too – I always try my utmost to let people know I've appreciated them and their efforts to 'do a good job' and have said so many times here. Barb and the Dream Team are the perfect 'benchmark' to which a lot of other people/companies should aspire!
