On the road today!

On the road today!

Hi there.
Thanks for popping in.
Very late today.
We have been trundling up the country in the van,
all set for a busy weekend.

In fact, we’re still doing it! But the A1M is shut, so it’s detour time to Heather and Len’s.
Let’s see if I can post this from the van .
The fastest blog in the world!

Set up tomorrow at Leyburn.
we are holding our annual Clarity Open Day up north
at the very prestigious Auction Rooms, Tennants at Leyburn.

We set up tomorrow,
in readiness for our guests on Saturday.

It’s a ticket only gig, but if you turned up on the day,
I bet we could squeeze you in.
I shall leave a dozen tickets at the door just in case.
They’re only a fiver.

So who’s demonstrating….
Well, we have

Maria Simms
Sam Crowe
Jo Rice
Emma Burns
Tina Cox
Paul Church
Mandy Branston

I would say that that’s a pretty amazing line up!
Between us, I should think we will cover all bases.
Only sorry that Dee Paramour is not with us.
She’s not well enough to make that long journey just now,
especially because on the Sunday
I am shooting off up to the Crafter’s Companion shop to do a demo,
and Paul Church is chasing down to Peterborough
to do 3 hours of live TV !
Which means we couldn’t even drive her home.

  19. Hi Barb,
Sorry to hear that you've had a bit of a nightmare journey on the A1. I hate it when you have to divert somewhere. At least you've got Dave for company. I am so looking forward to Saturday and my place is booked on Sunday too – you'll be sick of seeing me! Sorry Dee is not well enough to to come, it's a shame as she is so talented, I love watching her create. Still it will be lovely to see the regulars and Tina too. Hope everything goes well with the setting up . Love and hugs Alison xx

    1. Hi bloggy friends,
Hope everything is ok. Really looking forward to this weekend! Good job I got paid yesterday!! Made a card for Jayne as Barbara suggested from her Groovi plates – decided to go with the Rose., so that took up most of the day, but really enjoyed doing it. Looking forward to meeting you at Leyburn on Saturday, love and hugs Alison xxx

  20. Hi Barbara, impressed that you can type so well in a van! I fnd it hard to type on my tablet and I'm only sitting on the sofa or in bed! Have fun at the weekend with your open day and your demo at the shop. Was I lived closer. Xx

  21. Evening bloggy friends, hands up if you are missing Hochanda like me 😖. Watching craft is just as relaxing as doing it I find. Have fun if you are going to the open days this weekend. Xx

    1. Hi Donna,
Yes I'm another one missing Hochanda on the tv, but am watching on my iPad. Hope you and Phoebe are ok – is she fully recovered now! Give her a big cuddle from me and there's one for you too, love and hugs Alison xx

    2. I can't watch online at the moment, the internet is even slower than usual and if it's not buffering it's pixellating. Annoyingly the other channel is fine xx

    3. Yes thanks, she is better now. Still on reduced walks but hopefully after her check up next week the vet will give her the all clear. I do however think her running after her Frisbee days are over. Xx

  22. Hello Barbara, sorry you are having a bad journey after a very busy weekend with another one to follow. Sorry I can't join you in my favourite part of the country but a little too far to travel at the moment. I went to your first open day in Crowborough which was amazing. Unfortunately I wasn't well enough to attend this year but as you saw on Saturday am much better now. I know your whole weekend will be a great success. Have fun.x

It's great to put faces to names. It certainly sounds like a good line up for the demos. Can't wait to hear all about it.x

  26. Got home from work to find a very special package waiting for me. Thank you so much Barbara for the beautiful new Groovi plates. I absolutely love them, and spent all night getting Groovi. Not finished yet, as I spent a lot of time colouring. Can't wait to see them demo'd.

  27. Hello Brenda, I was so glad to see you posting this evening, I was getting worried about you. This is only my second day of posting and I know you find change and new people joining in unsettling but I love reading what you have to say and hope to be your new blog friend. As everyone has said we are all here to help in any way we can. Take care.xx

  28. Hi Barbara , hope you and the team have a wonderful weekend, as I am sure you will. All the lucky people who will meet you are in for a treat. I will look forward to watching Paul on Sunday all be it on my iPad as I am a freeview viewer and as you know we can not watch on the big screen until October. Take care and have fun. X

  32. You have my sympathy re the A1 it's a nightmare at the mo – main thing is to be safe and sound. Looking forward to seeing you and Paul again on Saturday and also meeting your fab team! Hope Mel is soon on the mend.

By the way I'm 'stalking' you this weekend as am also coming along to Crafters Companion HQ on Sunday – would be rude not to as you'll be as near to where I live as you're likely to get – lol!

Hope all goes well setting up tomorrow xx

  34. Good luck with your busy schedule this weekend, I would like to thank you for the beautiful items in my diamond club package that arrived yesterday. I won't spoil the surprise for any that haven't received theirs yet, but each one is something I would have chosen myself to have, they are beautiful xxx

  35. Hello Barb, hope you arrived safely, and get some time to relax before your very busy weekend. Please wish Dee well, hope she gets better soon. My club package also arrived yesterday, and it is stunning, looking forward to playing with it. Take care. Bx

  36. Really disappointed that my friend and I can't attend Leyburn after the silly car accident on Monday. Have found a new car but can't get it in time to make the trip.
I am more sad that I had given the ticket to my friend as part of her birthday present, will have to find a super alternative.
    Hope it goes well

  37. Hello Barbara

Firstly I am sorry to hear Dee is not feeling well enough to join you this weekend. I hope her health improves.

Sending best wishes for a good weekend for you all. I will have to watch Paul on the computer as Freeview is off air at the moment.

  38. Wish I could be there with you all – but I am booked in at a workshop elsewhere. What is it about 24th Sept – I was spoilt for choice for places to go! I know those of you who are going will have a lovely time.

  40. Hope the setting up is going well, Barbara. I've had a ticket for Leyburn for months but won't be able to get there as, sadly, we have a funeral to attend. I did let the office know in case someone else could get in instead of me 🙂 Looking forward to next year now!! Mxx
