Lily & friends

Lily & friends

Ello! Me again.
I thought that since you have all been behaving
(well most of you have!)
I would share a sneaky peek of one of my demo’s I have planned for Sunday’s TV shows.
If you want to see more,
you will have to tune in to Hochanda on Sunday at 2pm & 5pm.
I have 4 new Groovi Plates, designed in conjuction with my very good friend, Jayne Nestorenko.
I know that today is Mindful Wednesday, but at the moment the only thing I am mindful of is that I still have more prep to do!
Joking aside, getting into the groove with the Groovi system,
is a great way of unwinding, relaxing, chilling.
Sometimes, when I am working on a design, my mind empties (scary I know!) and I just deal with what is in front of me.
Now that I have teased you, I’m going to hand you over to Barbara for today’s blog.
Paul xx
Hey there.
Thanks for stopping by.
Today I thought I would focus on one of my favourite character stamps, Lily.
Lily has a bunch of friends
Each of those friends also has a matching border background stamp
I liked them so much, I turned them into Groovi Border Plates and introduced another friend Holly:
Here is Lily stamped onto a print taken off of the Gel Press
layered onto a piece of coordinating card stock.
A larger frame finishes off this piece perfectly.
Here is a beautiful piece from Lynne.
Lynne has used the Heart Weave stamp to create a background.
Lynne Hammond
Both on the outside and the inside.
Finished off with a nice verse.

Don’t forget, if you are looking for inspiration or ideas, check out the Artroom on the Clarity website.
Love and hugs xx

    3. Hi Sheila, that was lovely having you Granddaughter round today to keep you company, wish mine lived near enough to do that. I can understand it tiring you out though. Enjoy your rest. Been hospital visiting again this afternoon, my Brother-in-law had a big operation just over a week ago, he's still very poorly, but he is 85 so it takes longer to pick up afterwards. In fact he had two operations in two days as it opened up again. Love and hugs, Pam xxx

    4. Hi Sheila, glad you had your granddaughter with you today. Jennifer went to see her granny yesterday as it was granny's birthday. Jen made her a victoria sponge. 3. Hi bloggy friends, first off Phoebe is fine and is improving every day YAY! I on the other hand have been in bed with a horrid bug since Sunday BOO! Feel slightly more human today and can actually sit up without my head exploding! NO craft!! So annoyed to be wasting my holiday being ill 😢

    1. Hi Donna, lovely you're back, we were all getting worried. Sorry to hear you haven't been at all well, especially when it was your holiday. Hope you will feel back to normal very soon. So pleased that Phoenix is so much better, give her a gently hug from us. Take it easy for a few days, have cuddles with Phoebi, crafting can wait. Love and hugs Pam xxx

    2. Evening Donna so pleased phoebe is making good progress not good that you are ill especially when it's school holidays you get better soon then you can craft sending lots of get well hugs xxx

    3. Hi Donna,
Pleased that Phoebe is improving but sorry that you're not well. We always used to say ( when teaching) that we could guarantee being poorly the first few days of a holiday. I think we struggled to keep going during term time and then as soon as we relaxed we succumbed to some bug or other. Hope you feel better soon and get to enjoy the rest of your holiday. Love and hugs Alison xxx

    4. Hello Donna, what a relief that Phoebe is doing well, but so sorry that you've been poorly. Especially on a well earned week's holiday! Just not fair! Take care. Love and Hugs xxx

    5. Hi Donna – good to have you back here and really good to hear that Phoebe is improving. Not surprised that you haven't been so good – I agree with Alison, as soon as you ease off from work something often hits you, be it a bug, migraine or whatever. Also the added worry about Phoebe won't have helped, bless her! A big hug for you and a gentle cuddle for Phoebe, love Gilly xx

    6. Such a shame for you Donna – still you will be giving your body lots of rest which will do you good! Glad to hear that Phoebe is on the mend, Susan x

  4. The sneak peek looks great, am really looking forward to the shows and I shall actually be at home to watch. Have had a small windfall so may treat myself to some Groovi products this time. Art work brill all that heart weave work is so neat and on the skirt too.

    1. Hi Pam,

  8. Thank you Paul for keeping the blog running. Really looking forward to Sunday. Your shows are brilliant and very informative.
Also thank you to all my bloggy friends. You are keeping me sane as things are not so beautiful in my world at the moment. How sad is that when there is much worse going on in the world. I do apologise but family are important at present.
I am off to get in the groove before I throw everything out of the window – only joking, just trying to keep my sanity. I better buck up for tomorrow – MOJ calls and it will take all my strength to stay calm, cool and collected! I take Barbara's words with me PMA! all the way.
Lots of love to you all.
    Anne (Reading)

    1. Hi Anne – you have nothing to apologise for, family are THE most important thing in our lives! Enjoy your Groovi time, which will no doubt relax you. I think that we all carry Barbara's PMA words with us, and most days we no doubt need them at some point. Hugs Gilly xx

    2. Hi Anne sorry to hear about your weekend but don't you be sorry for letting it unload it does help hoping your MOJ customers don't stress you out to much just give them one o your PO looks bet you've got one eh!

    1. Hi to all my lovely blog friends,
Weather here seems to be getting worse! Don't know what happened to the first day of summer! Love and hugs to you all, Alison xx

    2. Hi Alison, We had 10 mins of bright sunshine about half an hour ago, but it's back to wet, windy and freezing! Love and Hugs xxx

    3. Hi Alison (and Morag) – sorry to hear how bad your weather is at the moment – fingers crossed that it will improve for you soon. Love and hugs Gilly xx

  11. Hi Paul, that is mindful enough..to be sorting out our Sunday!! Your sneak peek looks very exciting. I can hear my purse creaking already!
The art work you've chosen Barbara, is fabulous as usual. Carry on having a great time xxx

  12. Hello all my lovely friends. I've tired my eyes out with Groovi today, it was one of those…just a little bit more days when I didn't want to stop til it was finished. I hope you're all having as good a day as you can. Love and hugs to you all xxx

    1. Hi Morag – it certainly sounds as though you have been having a fun Groovi day! By the way, has your spending ban been lifted? Love and hugs Gilly xxx

    2. Hi Morag,
It sounds as though you've had fun today even though your poor eyes have suffered – I bet it was worth it though! Love and hugs Alison xx

  13. Hi Paul, beautiful sneaky peek. Did you mess up the rest of it, or have we not been behaving good enough to deserve to see any more?!!! 😉 Your Mindfulness words of wisdom – it's a start, you tried and that's what counts, so well done 😉 Lovely artwork from Barbara's pizza boxes too. Love Brenda xx

Glad you're feeling a bit better Donna, and Phoebe is good xx

    1. Hello Brenda. I hope you've had a good day today, and that the weather is staying lovely for you. Love and Hugs my friend. xxx

    2. Evening Brenda what you been up to today another beautiful Sunny day wonder how long it will last Eh!
Wonder who Paul thinks the cheeky one is then bet he had a wee giggle at your comment.
      Here's yir cuddle take care…xx

    3. Thanks everyone xx
Internet went down today, in the middle of me doing my food shop order for tomorrow! The diagnostics was saying it was the wall phone socket, which made no sense as my phone line comes through that too and that was working fine. It obviously did come back on after a while fortunately, or I wouldn't be here! But me and my Asperger's in so many ways really doesn't handle stuff going wrong, and even more so now I've got no one. I can't ever switch off from any of it either like normal people can, my brain isn't capable of doing that. And takes a long time for me to come down from and file away what's happened and the feelings, days, sometimes weeks. It's horrible being me and on my own in this world. Even if I had support it's still not much better as I can't afford many hours so I'm still total alone most of the time when stuff goes wrong or things/people frightens me. CFS extra bad too. Boiler played up again yesterday, didn't go off after running hot water! I did get the main part of the pink flowers done though, before the internet fiasco.

Aye Dot, I think it's me in the naughty corner eh! All you lot polishing your halos, much more fun over here!!! 😉 It's forecast to rain here on Friday.

Glad you had a good time with your granddaughter Sheila.

Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow xx

  14. Hi Paul – looking forward to seeing the shows on Sunday, the sneaky peek looks beautiful! Today's artwork is great too, I am sure that Barbara is having a wonderful time! Love and hugs, Gilly x

    1. Hi to all my lovely blog friends – I hope that you have all had a good day, sorry to read what terrible weather some of you have been experiencing. Fingers crossed that it will improve soon, I can't believe that it's June! Very scary just how quickly time has gone this year! I have been resting in bed all day today, I didn't own up yesterday that I had a little fall whilst out in Truro, with Neill. My best friend phoned earlier and told me to put some arnicare on the bruised areas, so Neill has just been out to get some and applied the first lot – so hopefully in a few days it will improve. Take care everyone, love and hugs Gilly xxx

    2. I've been sitting here patiently waiting for your post Gilly. We're following each other round again. Must be telepathy or something hahaha!
Aaw, I'm so sorry you had a fall. You certainly have enough to cope with without that. Yes Arnica cream is very good, hopefully it will give you some ease. take care my friend. Love and Hugs xxx

    3. Oh dear Gilly, did you trip over a daisy? Arnica is brilliant especially if it is applied straight away. We have had glorious sunshine for most of the day but only about 16c at most but it doesn't half make me feel good and my garden is looking great.

    4. Hi Gilly,
Sorry to hear you've had an argument with the ground! Arnica is very good. Hopefully you will feel better quickly. Take care, love and hugs Alison xx

    5. ooh Gilly, hope you're not too sore and the cream helps. The sunshine has deserted us for the last two days, wet and miserable, still no gardening so crafting and tidying….xx

    6. Sorry to hear you've had a fall Gilly, Arnica is supposed to be good for bruising, my Mum used to say put a really cold spoon on and it will bring out the bruise. Hope you feel better soon, take it easy. We went to Truro when we came down last week, love it there, went in for a Costa and a walk round M & S & Pete got some shoes in Clark's.xx

    7. Oh Gilly I hope your ok, it must be the week for falls, I went to a naming ceremony on Sunday & as I was leaving I tripped over the marquee guy-rope and landed quite hard!! Otherwise had a good weekend with three good excuses to make cards & i'm starting to get a bit more confident with them now, thanks to all the inspiration I get from here. I've discovered making 'watercolour paintings' from my clarity stamps and Aqua pens, then I use my Groovi for the words, so pleased with the results!! Have a good day Ladies, hope the sun is out where you are as it's cold & grey in London x

    8. Thanks to you all for caring! I am really pleased to say that I feel heaps better today, the arnica has helped SO much! The bruising is now coming out, so the pain is much less. So Dot I would really recommend that you get some for Amy. Hello, Pamela – I don't think that we have spoken before now – I hope that you have recovered now too! Sounds as though you are enjoying your Clarity crafting – I hope to get a little bit done soon. Well Julia, Alison, Jackie and Pam – I hope that you all have a good day, with some sunshine thrown in too – hugs to you all Gilly xxx

    9. I forgot to say – Pam, we both love Truro and usually go there about once a month for the shopping. Unfortunately, we have been going to the main hospital there too often lately! Then from 18th July, we will be going to the hospital Mon – Fri, for about 8 weeks I think! Not to worry, it must be done! Bye for now – Gilly xxx

  15. Really looking forward to watching on Sunday, and hope to get some crafting done in the next few days, although we're off to see Flavia and Vincent from Strictly tomorrow in their Last Tango show. It's been a fabulous day up here today, and there is more sunshine forecast too, so I may craft in the garden if I can! Susan x

    1. Enjoy Eden Court Susan. I'm glad you commented on our weather as well otherwise no one would believe us. I haven't been crafting much lately but my garden looks good!

    2. Hi Susan,
I'm very envious! Saw them last year and was absolutely mesmerised! Flavia is gorgeous and Vincent was a real cheeky chappy! The show was brilliant and I'm sure this one will be too especially as it's the last one. Hope you have a fabulous time, like ve Alison xx

    3. Thanks everyone! We really enjoyed it, but it did make me cry in the second half – I am a bit of a soft touch though!! Our busy time started about two months ago Dot, but this year we've decided that life is too short, so we're having days off more regularly to do something fun together and we're not letting the bank manager know X

  16. Have really enjoyed these trips down memory lane. Weather is cold in South Northants, we spent 5 days over the bank holiday in the Lakes and the weather was warm and sunny!

  17. Is it a bird is it a butterfly no it's Sneak Peek Paul I'm trying to work out what you have been Groovi prepping but all will be revealed on Sunday in the show.
Lovely that Jayne and you are working together.
    Take care…xx

  18. Lovely sneaky peak. The layers look interesting.
Have had a lovely day crafting with friends a d as the weather has been amazing the washing has been out and dried. Enyoying lovely May and June sunshine.

  19. Hi Paul, looks a lovely sample. Love the pizza box samples too. xx

Hi everyone, late tonight and must get to my bed, I think the miserable weather has just got a bit irritating now – we had a sneaky peak at summer and it's gone back in the box ! Hope it improves now xx

  20. Looking forward to seeing your creations on Sunday (and the new plates… obviously!) You're doing a grand job in Barb's absence… keep up the good work!

  21. Hi Paul, ooh that looks lovely, very intrigued. Love the artwork shared by Barb. I often take a little look through the artroom categories for inspiration and enjoyment. Bx
