Kind Hearts are the Gardens.

Kind Hearts are the Gardens.

Hi there,
Thanks for popping in.
Sun’s shining and I would love to take a walk through the bluebells before it gets dark,
so here’s a quickie before I grab Dave and make for the woods!
It’s a 5 minute card,
using one of our background papers,
which I shall resurrect next week and get loaded onto the website.
Jim and I designed a bunch of them a while ago,
and they really are so useful –
especially when the bluebells are calling!
Birdhouse  in Watering Can into the centre.
Add some appropriate words.
Romeo the ancient cat.
Oh and lunch.
In his dreams!!!!

Swirl a yellow Claritybrush through a sun/moon aperture

I used Mustard Seed

Easy with our brushes.

The Groovi Corner slot punch comes in handy too.

Done.
I can hear Dave rummaging underneath in the garage.
He was at work this morning.
And I have been working on the New Design Club projects.
All day.

Enough.
The neck is aching and the bluebells are calling.

There is NOTHING that important
that it can’t wait until tomorrow.
love & hugs,

  1. Oh I do love walking through the woods when the bluebells are out. This stamp set is one of my all tine favourites, the bird house and little birds never fail. Hope you enjoy your walk with Dave. Xx

  2. Gorgeous card as always Barb. Really don't blame you one bit for wanting a break from the grind – especially on a Sunday. Enjoy your walk in the woods amongst the bluebells. xxxxx

  3. Crafty train on track again! Have been doing my art journal this afternoon so I now have a mountain of paints, pens, glitter etc to tidy but that's OK I prefer a creative mess to sitting twindling my thumbs waiting for inspiration to strike like yesterday! Xx

    1. Hi Donna, glad you've had fun doing your art journal today. Don't think I'm thick but what is an art journal? It's been beautiful sunshine here but a bit cold out of the sun. Love and hugs Pam xx

    2. Hi Donna,
Pleased you've had a good day crafting and getting messy by the sound of it. Been a lovely day here today although chilly especially in the shade. Still I managed to get all my washing dry outside which makes a change. Love Alison xxx

    3. Hi Pam, art journaling is a way in which you can get arty and creative, write down on paper your thoughts or feelings, try out new techniques etc. I have a book which I use to do arty backgrounds which I then stamp/stencil onto. I cut images out of magazines, I love quotes so I might use these on a page or I just write down what I'm thinking. I used to scrapbook and found I really enjoyed journaling about the pictures. If you go to images on Google and type in art journal pages you can see some beautiful examples. XX

  4. Quick and simple, especially with that gorgeous backing paper. Looking forward to seeing the rest when they go on sale. Might make life a bit simpler, especially when you've got a jacket potatoes burning in the oven lol! Think I'd prefer the bluebell woods and Dave…if you get my drift? Enjoy your walk..have to go rescue some burning spuds. Love & hugs xx

  5. Enjoy your walk, tiptoeing through the bluebells ( sorry, wrong song) . We have blue pink and whitebells in the garden, it adds colour and faint perfume, a suitable thing for springtime. Super demo, as always. X

  6. I had a lovely Groovi session yesterday, I feel refreshed. Now it's time to get some fresh air and walk the pooches. Enjoy your walk, hope Romeo behaved himself too 😉 x

  7. If your weather is as good as we have in Leicestershire today (after snow yesterday) you will have a lovely walk. I confess that I had a snooze in glorious sunshine this afternoon after a glass of vino tinto with lunch & some homemade scones. I did my walk & gardening this morning so not feeling at all guilty xx

  11. Lovely artwork and words. Cleaning and searching. Think tomorrow I will move on and say what is lost, is lost but it's what's in my heart that matters not a piece of metal.

  20. Evening Barbara lovely card today looking forwards to seeing the background papers you and Jim have created but think it would take me longer than 5 mins to create something as good.
Now rest that neck just cuddle up on the couch with Romeo.
    Take care.. DotXx

    1. Hi Dot,
It's been a lovely sunny day here today, although cold. Scamp has been chasing the sun around the house and is now curled up tight on her radiator cradle because I've had to put the heating on. Love and hugs, Alison xxx

  22. How fortunate you are to have the Bluebells out in April. In this part of north west Wales the Bluebells flower only in May, then the woods and shady fields are full of beautiful Bluebells especially the shady areas on the lower slopes of Snowdonia. I can hardly wait to see them all again even it is only for a single month. I think it's the mass of lilacie blue I love the best. Ah well only a few more weeks to go.

  23. Hi Diane, Brenda, Morag, Gilly, Alison, Pen and Sue57, hope you've had a lovely sunny day as we have here. Love and hugs to you all, love to all on the blog. Pam xxx

Hope you haven't worked too hard today and managed yo rest your neck a bit. The walk in the woods through the bluebells sounds lovely – hope you both enjoyed it. Love Alison xxx

    1. Hi to all my blog friends,
Hope you've all had a good day and got some crafting in.i made some cards today a couple of Groovi ones, including my April stamp challenge ( even though it's Groovi!) and a couple of stamped ones. I feel as though it's been a productive day. Sending love and hugs to you all, Alison xxx

  25. I love the scent of bluebells and damp earth, brings back happy childhood memories of my sister, who was so full of fun and died much too young, and my best friend Lady, a retired greyhound who was always with us when we were out on our travels. The bluebell woods we visited have long since gone, but the happiness they brought comes flooding back every time I catch the scent of a bluebell.

  26. Oh yes, it was a lovely walk. Through ancient copiced woodland with a thick carpet of Bluebells. Not fully out though , it needs to warm up a bit more, the Primroses and Wood Anemone are all there too, just beautiful…. There really is nothing quite like it, Feeling grateful…x

  27. The stamps work fantastically with that background Barbara and what a great idea to use the slot punch which definitely finished quickly so you could go for your walk amongst the bluebells. There is nothing more beautiful than a carpet of that destinctive and oh so pretty blue which really does say Spring has arrived. We did see some on our travels today and there were quite a few but not so splendid as those you find in the woods in Surrey and Kent that I can remember seeing. x

  28. Lovely card! This has to be my favourite stamp set 😊 Hope you enjoyed your walk! Went out for a walk today, too and just loved all the flowers and the tree blossoms😊 Yep, Spring is definitely my favourite time of the year. Have a great new week xx

  30. Hi Barbara, quick and simple yet effective always good to have in the repertoire. Your artwork yesterday was amazing, very atmospheric. Kind of thing I aspire to. Thank you for sharing. I hope you are going to frame yesterday's for your gallery wall. When you come exploring my beautiful country collect me on your way north please. Can we stop off at Glen Affric please, and Loch Katrine. I'll let you choose wherever else we explore! 😉 Glad you're still managing your walks in the woods. It's still winter up here. But the extra daylight hours are good. There was a sparrow at the feeder today, first one for months. Just been a pair of blackbirds until now. That cheered me up until I remembered – it's not going to stay around for long when the feeder can only get filled once a month! I'll buy some rice and try throwing out cooked rice when it's empty, see if that keeps them coming. Good baby food, my sparrow colony at my last place thrived on my cooked rice (I did have seed out too). I used to throw it under the buddleja, a wee bit protection for them and I could sit and watch their antics. It was like a wee nursery, they brought all their young fledglings to that spot every day. A naughty pair of dunnocks used to bring their very young fledglings and dump them in the nursery and disappear, but between me and the sparrows we kept them safe, and they quickly learned to copy the sparrows. Love Brenda xx

  31. Hi Barbara these background papers sure lovely and Tha stamp set is one of my favourites. Glad to hear the woods were beautiful and relaxing. We've just got in from an ELO concert in Birmingham- brilliant light show and fantastic music, sung away as loud as I could, ears are ringing though! Hope you have a good week
    Love Diane xxx

  32. Hi barb, hope you enjoyed the bluebells, and had a lovely stroll with Dave. This card is fab, and this has to be one of my favourite stamp sets. Hope you have a good week ahead. Bx

  33. Hi Barbara, This is amazing !! it is so 'atmospheric', and a really lovely card, I especially love the corner punches, ideal for any cardmaking as well as a means for attaching parchment.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
