Good of you to pop in!

Mindful Wednesday blog falls appropriately today,

on Christmas Eve.

It means so many different things to so many people.

I hope with all my heart that you are in a good space 

and that you enjoy the coming festivities.

The 24th is a big day for reflection and family in our home. 

We celebrate Christmas today, the German way.
We share a simple meal, 
think about those gone ahead already, 
and enjoy the moment. 
It’s magical.

I have spent the day alone 

and thoroughly enjoyed my own company actually.

I have shopped and cleaned and hoovered and polished,

 and got all excited about this evening.

I have exactly one hour before my brother and his lads arrive,

so I had better get a wriggle on!

The table is set for 11, 

the candles are waiting to be lit,

the meal is ready to be fired up.

All that is left for me to do is put some make-up on,

change my top,

dig out the Rochester ginger which is buried in the garage,

and wait for the everybody to arrive.
