Stupid Girl.
Hi there!
Thanks for popping in!
And thanks if you came to see us at the NEC today too.
We had an excellent day, saw so many lovely friends, old and new.
It was good to catch up.
Although it didn’t feel as busy as usual in the hall,
it was still buzzing around the Clarity stand!
The Groovy System was definitely popular;
couldn’t restock fast enough.
Maria, Paul and I rotated on the demonstrations,
I was happily signing calendars all day,
and in the afternoon a crowd of us had great fun preparing a
Gelli Plate Blog together.
Took a rake of cool photos too.
Then I very stupidly forgot to bring my Ipad back to our B&B.
Stupid Girl, Pikey!
The good news is,
there’s already a good blog project ready for tomorrow!
The HOCHANDA Team were in the building too.
What a smashing bunch they are.
People definitely seem to be enjoying the new channel.
I think it is improving day by day,
and will grow into a fabulous channel,
packed full of entertaining, interesting shows.
So since we can’t have a project, until tomorrow,
how about a limerick?
We love a limerick!!!
Ready?
I’ll give you the first 2 lines,
then you copy paste the same first 2 lines
and add the rest of the poem below….
There was a keen crafter from Crewe,
who want to learn something new.
….
over to you!
Then on Sunday, we will pick a winner,
and on Monday we will send that lucky winner
a £20 Clarity Gift Voucher !!!
much love,

so nothing venture, nothing gain
off to the NEC she went by train,
and on Clarity Groovi, all her money she blew!
(well she would have it had been me – lol!)
And you would have blown it all on the Clarity stand. xxx Maggie
Poetry was never my strong point at school. I will have to think about that one. I thought the Clarity stand was great, and, as always, the team manning it are second to none. I loved watching all the brilliant demos from you all. By the way, Maria is wrong! There are still loads of Clarity stamps I do not possess. The Groovi is another story though. I love them all and mixing bits from them all to create a whole is inspiring. Hope you get plenty of rest before the next day. Sleep tight. xxx Maggie

Hi Sheila hope you've had a good day – I going to have to think about the poem, it's a bit late now! Xxxx
Hi Diane had my hospital appointment yesterday and it went very well xxx
Hi Sheila, a day late for me tut tut tut! Must try harder to stay awake. Glad to hear your hospital visit went well. Xx
There was a keen crafter from Crewe,
Who wanted to learn something new,
So she watched Hochanda tv
Groovi plates with Barbara and Lee
And now she is a parcher too
There was a keen crafter from Crewe
Who wanted to learn something new
She tried some die cutting
But just ended up tutting
And bought stamps instead. Woohoo!
(Clarity ones of course)
Hi Barbara
Oh I like your poems – will have to have a think about this one as it's rather late. Good to hear the dream team are working well and you've seen a lot of old friends. Make sure you get a good nights sleep and rest your neck. Take care
Love Diane xxx
Hi Diane, I see you were up late! I have failed my night owl exams. Xx
There was a keen crafter from Crewe,
who want to learn something new.
She thought I know, I’ll go visit the family at clarity!
Having joined the crowds at stand F01, she went ooh and aah at the demos, and heartily laughed at all the usual hilarity.
Then came the time to decide and make some decisions,
She managed to leave with many, many a prized provision
Once home out come all the groovi plates
She hoped she’d make something great
Many an hour passed relaxing
With none of it very taxing
Voila a masterpiece!
Alas not quite, for you see she came to grief…
She had forgotten Barbara’s wise words of instruction
as her card was back to front in its construction!
hi
Hi Brenda, lovely to hear from you. Missed you. Take care.xxx
Oooo now I'm really annoyed I fell I fell asleep and missed you dipping your toe back into the blog! It is wonderful to see you back, onwards and upwards one step at a time. Proud of you my friend. Xx

There was a keen crafter from Crewe
Who wanted to learn something new
She discovered groovi plates
Now parchment crafts just great
So to Barbara Gray she sends a thank you
I received a signed calendar this week, so thank you, hope the show goes well, best wishes to you Barbara, Dave and all at Clarity.
Have a think
Hi Barbara, lovely seeing you and your team today, they were all so helpful as we're you. Thank you for the demos, really enjoyed the show and managed to buy everything on my list, groovi storage, plates, stencil etc. Have to make another now. Missed Dave though even though Len was brilliant. Hope you do well for the next few days at the NEC. Here's my attempt at the limericks, you have to try:
There was a keen crafter from Crewe
Who wanted to learn something new
She visited a craft show with one of her mates
and there she discovered the groovi mate
Which was totally out of the blue.
The excitement she felt about what she'd discovered
She couldn't wait to play to see what it uncovered
There's more to this system she said to her mate
Especially when she saw all the other super plates
She did a silly dance, slipped on the ground, but she soon recovered.
Hi Barbara,
Never been any good at making up limmericks, but thought today I would have go. So here goes..
There was a keen crafter from Crewe,
who want to learn something new.
The tutor Barbara did something quite groovi
With plastic and parchment
And now the crafter is groovi too, parching all day.
Hi Barb, so glad that it is going well at the NEC, I bet all your products are moving very fast off the shelves. Looking forward to the blog post. Here is my attempt. Take care. Bx
There was a keen crafter from Crewe
Who wanted to learn something new,
With a few little purchases and a bit of R&D,
She whispered, Ooh dear me,
I have a stash that just grew and grew!
There was a keen crafter from Crewe
Who wanted to learn something new,
She wanted to play
But the NEC's far away
So she stayed home and sulked Boo Hoo
Hello Barbara
I am no good at poetry but love all the entries above. There are some very clever people in the Clarity family.
My friends and I had a lovely day yesterday at the NEC. We managed a hug and a chat with Paul but couldn't get near you or Maria. Got home to find my signed calendar had been delivered. It is beautiful and so informative. Hopefully my next order will be delivered soon. I know how busy it must be at Clarity Towers.
Brenda, it is good to see you on here again. We have all missed you.
Love
Roz.x
Asleep before you blogged last night, not surprising as I was nodding off from about 8pm!! Must be too much excitement. I will get my thinking cap on and come up with a little ditty later. Glad your first day was successful. Xx
Bless your sleep head xxx
So pleased that your day at NEC was busy, and that the hall wasn't too overcrowded (always the optimist!) I shall look forward to seeing tomorrow's blog with all the photos too, and I'm not disappointed today, as I love a limerick day – everyone is so good! Here's my effort:
There was a keen crafter from Crewe
Who wanted to learn something new
She stamped and she brayered
Then Gellied and layered
Now she barely has time for a brew!
Hope the rest of the show goes well for you, Susan x
Love it!
Morning Well I forgot how to log onto my computer today could not remember the pass code. Must be my age.
So pleased you are having a great time at the NEC

Pat Shipton 🙂
Love this one! Well done. Xx
Glad your first day at the NEC went well Barbara and will think about the limerick as at the moment I can't think of anything different to what's already been said. Hope today is another good day. x
For what it is worth, here goes:
'There was a keen crafter from Crewe

She met Barbara Gray
and shouted “Hooray –
C’est magnifique, merci beaucoup”'
Perfick!!!! Hazel xx
Received my signed calendar the other day, its beautiful, thank you. Here is my attempt at the
limerick.
There was a keen crafter from Crewe
who wanted to learn something new
she stamped and she stencilled
and used her spectrum noir pencils
but oh how she longed to try Groovi too
Hi Barb,
Glad you had a good first day.
Here's my feeble attempt at the Limerick
There was a keen crafter from Crewe,
who want to learn something new.
She made a movie
Then found the Groovi,
And now she's got loads to do.
Well I tried! Love Alison xxx
there was a keen crafter from Crewe,
who want to learn something new.
she watched the TV,
and saw Barbara G,
and then her crafting just grew.
I was hoping to catch a quick word with you yesterday, but you were ever so busy, and didn't wish to interrupt.
could I possibly say a big "thank you" to you?
a few years ago I was having a really bad time of things and accidentally found the c&c channel.
anyway, I started to watch regularly and it gave me back my interest in art and craftiness. but, what got me putting pen to paper was one of your shows. you were demoing your latest stamps, when you showed a particular sample that you had zentangled.
it was before your filigraphy stamps, and before the big craze took off on the channel, and it was just a fleeting glimpse, but I felt the light switch back on.
I always loved pen and ink when I was younger and zentangling looked like a great way to get back into being arty and crafty again.
now, about 4years+ later, I find myself soo much better and that was due to you introducing me to zentangling. far more effective than the counselling and mental health appointments !!
I just really want say thank you again and how grateful I am to you for this gift you have given me. it really did help me get over such a dark time. I am disabled, separated and everything else, but now I have something that allows me to get away and switch of from all of that! now I am in such a better place now.
anyway, thank you again and hope you are all well
Dawn xx
It's so amazing how crafting can help people in times of stress – lovely to read your story Dawn, and great to hear that you are doing much better. Susan x
What a wet day! Here is my try:
There was a keen crafter from Crewe
Who wanted to learn something new
Online she did click
Barbara's blog did the trick
And her ideas and skills simply grew!
Hope you like it. Xx
Good one Donna!
So wish I could come to the NEC ah well…….
There was a keen crafter from Crewe
Who wanted to learn something new.
She studied with Clarity
Enjoyed the hilarity
And now she has new things to do.
Hi Barbara
Lovely to see you today ( Thursday ) My friend is now the proud owner of the Groovi Starter Kit. She has never seen it before and was very impressed. She has no access to the Internet and only 5 TV channels in the part of Wales she has just moved to. I will have no trouble choosing her Christmas presents. You can never have enough Groovi plates. I am sorry I will miss Emma Burns on Saturday. I would love to meet her. I have my Groovi storage and the beautiful poppy plate as well as a few other Groovi must haves.
I'm not much of a poet but here goes
There was a keen crafter from Crew
Who want to learn something new
She invested in Groovi
Her linework's so smoothie
And she's part of the Clarity Crew.
Hugs from Chris
There was a keen crafter from Crewe,
who want to learn something new.
To Barb's blog she did go
For inspiration, and so
A Groovi mate into her basket she threw.
Hope all goes well at NEC, wish I could be there but not able to this time.

Ok here goes!
There was a keen crafter from Crewe,
who want to learn something new.
She tuned into Hochanda
And took a long gander
Now she has plenty to do!

There was a keen crafter from Crewe,
who wanted to learn something new
she tried and she tried
but it all turned out blue
so now she's doing something with glue!
Blimming 'eck, you'd think you'd get better with practice but I'm getting worse at these limericks!
I'm now laughing at everyone elses ! Really good ones here!
There was a keen crafter from Crewe
who wanted to learn something new
To a Clarity retreat
She trotted toot sweet
And found it was really a hoot!
I love a good limerick, but can't think of anthing silly but here goes.
There was a keen crafter from Crewe
Who wanted to try something new
She asked for advice
Paul said " Groovi is nice"
And Barbara shared all that she knew
Lots of love Jxx
Something to look forward to tomorrow . Glad it's going well.
Here's my effort.
There was a keen crafter from Crewe
Who wanted to try something new
Fifty Shades of Gray?
Hubby said "No way!"
So she stamped the whole day through
So funny – I have visions of her stomping around the house in a huff!
There was a keen crafter from Crewe
Who wanted to learn something new
She studied the web and set off from Kent
She wanted to find what she desired and not being daunted
She found Barbara Gray’s stand who got her in the Groovi
Well its a try Crafty hugs Pen x
It was great to see you at the show Barbara. Although my bank balance might not agree. On the way home now, to have a play.
Barbara, lovely to see you in action today … you make everything look so easy. I still can't quite bring myself to try the gelli plate but spent a fortune on stamps, stencils and groovi! Hope Dave is well and you get some rest … you must be shattered after full days of demos.

There was a keen crafter from Crewe
Who wanted to learn something new
She purchased a Groovi
Watched a Clarity movie
While Barbara explained what to do.
I was at the show yesterday and every time I looked you were surrounded by happy crafters. I hope the rest of the show goes well for you. You will need to put your feet up when you finally get back home to Dave. Perhaps you can get him to massage your feet for you now he is feeling better.
I love your limerick challenges, but usually spot them too late! A wee, pathetic effort!
There was a keen crafter from Crewe,
who want[ed] to learn something new

on choices that will last her life through
