Whole heartedly or hole-heartedly – that is the question….

Hello there!
Thanks for stopping by.
Saturday’s Blog a new technique, so let’s take a look.
This is just a simple way of creating a lovely, colourful background in a specific shape.
Read on…..
Stamp our lovely Garden Heart stamp in black on
a piece of copy paper,

and cut out the heart.
If you do this carefully, you can use both parts….

Position the aperture heart over a piece of white Gelli Card,

and dust through the heart-hole with
Wild Plum, Stonewashed and Eggplant.
Now stamp the heart over the pastel background
with Black Archival.

Colour in the open flowers and leaves with Spectrum Noir.
Stamp the verse onto a white panel with Black Archival too.
Time to find complimentary coloured card to layer up and frame.

Very lovely. Very simple. Very quick.
There are loads of people in Heather’s kitchen now,
all getting excited about the Open Day,
so I really must fly!
I think Dee Paramour, Paul Church and Mandy Branston
have just landed!
An the Catterick building is superb.
Happy Days!!!!
much love,

  1. Simply beautiful card Barbara. So pleased to read that Paul, Dee & Amanda arrived safely. I'm sure that all will go well today. I'll be there tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to seeing the demonstrations and meeting up with my Clarity family. Catching up with old friends and possibly making new ones. Remember to delegate and give yourself breaks. Have fun xx

  2. Beautiful Barbara, good morning to you and everyone in the crew, hope today is wonderful, sure sounds like it is going to be! Hope to see some photos xx

  4. Hello Barb. This is such a clever technique and will be used for many of your lovely dies. Have a really amazing time today and I only wish I could be there. xx Margaret Col.

  5. Lovely stamp and beautiful final result. Simple technique but so effective! Hope you all have a fabulous time in Catterick – I'll be up in my craft room at some point this weekend, so will be with you in spirit!! Susan x

  6. Hi Barb,
Just me again to say thank you to you, all of the Design Team and the rest of the Clarity Team and another thank you to all the helpers in the kitchen. The lunches were extremely good value for money. This is the first event like this I have been to and if this is anything to go by, it won't be the last! Probably spent too much money ( that would be the full set of reinkers ! ) but I don't care. Everything I bought I will use and that's the main thing. I learned so much from yourself and the other demonstrators and just loved every minute of it. Hope tomorrow goes well and that you all have safe journeys home. Thanks again. Love Alison xxx
( ps I was the one who put too much paint on the Gelli plate!)

  7. What a lovely way to put a bit of colour behind the stamp, and it is a lovely stamp too.
Had a lovely day today, the venue was really good, the demo's brilliant, and it was so nice to see everybody. I hope you can do this again Barbara x

  8. I had a wonderful time today. Learned so much, and have at last got my gelli plate! Some creativity going on here tomorrow, I think! Lol!

    Love Joan xx

  9. Wanted to say thank you to all the team and all the lovely people who made really good tea and coffee today. Everyone worked so hard. The demo 's were inspiring and the team took time to explain techniques. We learned so much (spent so much too) . Now all I need is some time to play. Thanks again for a brilliant day.
    Love Susan and Brenda xx
