The Great Outdoors! Let’s go!!!

The Great Outdoors! Let’s go!!!

Hi there.
Thanks for stopping by.
Sunday’s Blog a step by step and typically Gray.
This is pretty typically a Gray piece, methinks…
What think you?
Let’s start with a blank piece of Gelli Card,

Build a panel with low-tack masking tape.

Using stencil brushes and Stream, Juniper and Stonewashed,

Fill the panel with those colours.

Stamp the fabulous branch in Black archival into the aperture, before removing the masking tape.

It should look like this now….

Time to add the boy in flight.Oh! and the great outdoors.

Colour in the letters with Distress Markers and add a couple of tiny birds from the Birdhouse set.

A dot dot dot with a Micron pen will enhance the art easily and effectively.

All done.

Tired now! No flying away for me, except in my head!  The first day at Catterick was amazing!
It really was. I was soooo proud of our team.

  1. Hi Barb,
Absolutely fabulous. Really love the three colours together. It is quite simplistic in design but I like that – it looks fresh. The little boy is always a winner. Have a great day today – if yesterday was anything to go by, you will all be working hard and the visitors will have a fabulous time and spending lots / learning loads. Thanks for everything. Love Alison xx

  2. I had an amazing day yesterday at the Catterick show. I learnt a lot from the fabulous demonstrations and spent too much…….too many tempting treats to be had! A super card design today, which I will try as I bought the boy stamp yesterday. Good luck for another great day today. You were in great form yesterday. x

  3. Beautiful card. Love the colours.

I really enjoyed myself at Catterick yesterday. This afternoon I plan to put some of what I learned into practice. Have a great day!

    Love Joan xx

  4. I am liking the branch stamp more and more so it's going to have to fall in my basket soon lol!
I hope today's another good day in Catterick ….. I may not be able to get there but I do have the sun out and a picnic to enjoy so I shall not sulk to much today lol!

  5. Beautiful card, I watched you demo this one yesterday, you just used a different sentiment. As you said, it's a good technique for beginners who may struggle with composition. I had a fabulous day yesterday, wish I could do it again today. Thank you Barbara xx

  6. Very pretty. I really need to get some sentiment stamps only got about two. Hope you not too shattered by tonight. We have been out for dinner today a treat from our daughter and son-in-law, for helping out with grandchildren quite a bit. As if we mind. Safe trip home. xx

  7. Stunning card Barbara, my sister was hoping to win the one you did at Catterick today, but sadly she missed out, I will have to attempt to make her one now, hee hee. Had a great day today, spent loads, now I need to get myself back into to the flow and start playing again. A great big thank you for a lovely day today, from me and my sister. Michelle XX
