Rain stops play.

Rain stops play.

Hi everybody!
We’ve got a bit of a situation here. The cellar has filled up with water, and more rain is forecast. Trees are down and it’s generally chaotic. We celebrate Christmas this evening, my Mum being German, so I am sure I will be forgiven for passing on a project today.
Dave has given up wading and has gone in search of a pump, and the motto here is
Keep calm and carry on.

AND THANK GOD FOR THE CELLAR!!!!
Otherwise we would be 3 foot under right now.

So I would just like to wish you all a very happy, peaceful, Christmas, and a healthy, prosperous 2014.

Thanks for all the support,
and for enjoying what we at Clarity come up with,

Love from

With best wishes for Christmas and the New Year to you and family and many, many, thanks for your wonderful inspiration to us all through last year and for more to come ! x x x x x

  2. Oh gosh! Just what you don't need :(. Hope it stays confined to the cellar and starts to drain soon. Time to crack open another mince pie. Happy Christmas to you and Dave and all the family xx

  6. Sorry to hear of you cellar flood. I have a visual image of Barbara sitting at the top of the cellar stairs trying to fish all the floating wine bottles out with a net! What a storm it was..and so many people having problems at the moment. I am sure you will get it sorted and enjoy the time with your family. Have a great time. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

  7. So sorry to hear that you have flooding Barbara……I hope you get it sorted real soon. Hope it won't mar your Christmas too much and yes of course you are forgiven. May Santa bring you something nice and hope you make this a memorable one for you and your family….Here's to a fantastic 2014 xxx

  8. I was awake most of last night, just listening to the increasing roar of the wind, and thanking God that I had had my roof replaced, but we have had it so easy up here in Worcestershire in comparison with you in the south. Just the usual places that always get problems. I hope that Dave does not have to spend all the holiday pumping out, and that you can enjoy your family Christmas. Hope you did not lose all the wine in the floods, and have the chance to enjoy some of it in peace and love together. A very Happy Christmas to you and Dave and all your family and friends.

  9. I do hope you manage to keep the floods at bay. We are surrounded by floods but fortunately they have steered clear of us but my heart does go out to all those who have had their Christmas ruined. Have a Happy Christmas with your family and a blessed and peaceful new year. x

  10. I hope it drains soon and doesn't ruin your Christmas. Thank you for all the inspiration you have given us this year Barbara and I would like to wish you and your family a very Happy Christmas xx

  11. Hello Barb
O' dear this 2013 is certainly not going quietly is it!
I thought of Emmerdale when I read that Barb, at least you have a cellar, I hope its sound!
I had my roof replaced last year… but there is now rain in my bedroom from the roof, and that has gone down the wall to the lounge, and my mantlepiece on which I had my family cards, was swimming with B*****y water, and all my cards were soaking!!!!!!!!
Some are from my family in Australia so they are precious.
Still only cards thank goodness not people… this is all sent to try us and it certainly is doing that!
Apart from that Barb you are all together and dry!
    Take care
    Love Marg

  12. Sorry to hear that your cellar has flooded but on the positive side as you say thank goodness it is restricted to the cellar… and more importantly thank goodness you have a good practical man like Dave. No matter how damp your cellar is I know you will be happy with all your family around you ..nothing like it ..enjoy your celebrations xxxAnnie

Two of my ten grandchildren are half German, so they get two goes at present opening, some today, some tomorrow. It all adds to the fun! Hope all your family are now safely gathered. xxxxxxxx

  16. Oh a flooded cellar just what you don't need when all you want to do is celebrate Christmas and enjoy your family. Best wishes Lynne xx

  18. Poor you, I hope that things get sorted quickly for you, I've seen the atrocious weather on TV and felt for those suffering, thank goodness it didn't stop the flights from the US. Hope you all have the best Christmas you can, love Carolyn x

  19. Bless you for all you do for us fans and I hope your wet problems sort themselves out soon-good 'ol Dave.
Like you, I have the 'washing machine head' and need to make daily to-do lists – so; God grant us the serenity…courage…and wisdom……and as Shakespeare would have it I wish you health, peace and sweet content be yours this Christmas time. X Liz A-W
