Day 9 – August Arty Challenge – I Can Turn Simple Things Into Something Beautiful
Happy Sunday!
Now, that might sound a bit big-headed at first, but it really isn’t intended to. I’m not saying, “Look at me, aren’t I clever?” Far from it. I think this is something we can ALL do. Give us a scrap of paper, a stamp, a pencil, a bit of ink, an old book page or even something destined for the bin, and we have the ability to see beyond what it is and imagine what it could become. That’s creativity, isn’t it? Taking something quite ordinary and, with a little time, thought and imagination, turning it into something that makes us smile. And the more we practise doing that, the more we begin to see possibilities everywhere.
And here we are, already more than a week into our August Arty Challenge! If you haven’t joined in yet, it’s absolutely not too late. Anybody is welcome to jump on board. Start today, go back to Day 1 and play catch-up, pick and choose the projects that appeal to you – there are no rules! The whole idea is simply to get creative and make a little bit of art every day. Your ability to turn a simple thing aka a blank piece of card into something beautiful is one of your mant talents that I never tire of watching: definitely nothing big headed about staying the obvious.
I’ve now received my affirmation cards so no excuse to not set to to create something simple into something passable as art – one step at a time😁
I’m hoping to be able to watch live this afternoon but have family visiting next week so jobs to do (you understand that, I know).

Just made a comment on this ‘ere blog and it didn’t look as though it went through although when I pushed the button again it said already posted. When I checked to see it was there it was gone. Was there a glitch or is it my stupid lap top which has the gremlins.
That aside I hope you are feeling better but don’t forget to rest and recover properly.
