1 Day to Christmas

1 Day to Christmas

Happy Christmas Eve!
Actually, Christmas is already here for us. We celebrate this evening, so I won’t linger long. The presents are wrapped, and we will have our little gift opening ceremony later on. Nothing grand, nothing excessive.

I’ve been up since 6am, making the house festive – lighting candles, listening to gentle jazz, easing us into the day. Even cleared the ironing! I made some really tasty sausage rolls for lunch, and I’m pleased to report they were a hit. But I haven’t left the house – and I like that.

Grace came downstairs, looked around, and said, “I love your home, Mum. It has such a lovely feel. Great energy. Everywhere you look there are beautiful pieces of artwork and pockets of calm”
That meant more to me than she probably realises.

When the world feels like it’s whizzing around and everything seems a bit bonkers, it’s vital to have a safe place. A haven.
A calm in the storm.

Wishing you a peaceful, love-filled celebration – wherever you are. If you have time tomorrow, do join me for a cuppa and a mince pie in the SHAC at 10am. We’ll have a virtual group hug and a little chat. Sound like a plan?

Love and Clarity always.

Grandson and his girlfriend called in this afternoon and couldn’t believe how many cards we had ! He said something along the lines of he thought people would be scared to send me cards because of the ones I made and did I get any hand made ones, I said I got the exchange ones and my friend I grew up with makes one so I showed him those – impressed he was !

  13. you put me to shame , it looks lovely and inviting. I have no dec’s up , got little presents to open , not been well , in oneself and mind . but wishing you and all at clarity towers a fantastic Christmas. just one day at a time . xxxxx

  14. Merry Christmas to you and all the Clarity Team. You always do such a fantastic job of inspiring us and keeping our spirits up. Ironing all done here too and most of the jobs ticked. Have 25 letters cut out on my table from the BIP hunt but not much chance of making a festive greeting from them. Just as I think I’ve got it there’s spare letters of gobble-de-gook. Fun though!!! Love and greetings to all.

  15. I hope to tune in to the SHAC tomorrow, if not I’ll catch up later. Wishing you and your family all the very best for Christmas and the new year.

  16. While I was wrapping the presents this afternoon I took a good look at my dining room table (it was my parents table I shipped over from Canada after I had moved to England in the 70s) and thought of all the Christmas dinners served on it, puzzles solved at it, homework and crafts worked on it and dens made under it – my grandsons have just started! Just like yours – the centre of the family activities.
I hope to watch the Shac at some time tomorrow.
    Merry Christmas every one.

  17. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family. I’ve had a busy day getting everything sorted so I can relax with the family when they arrive tomorrow. I love being at home in our cosy bungalow, just being surrounded with little things that are full of memories. Xx

  18. Have a wonderful Christmas dear Barbara. Enjoy the time with your family.
Thank you so much for all you do for us crafters.

  19. Happy Christmas to you all in Clarity community especially Barb and her family. Will be tuned in at 10am for coffee before everything gets hectic.still working with my scrabble letters, love the Christmas hunt. Thanks for all the inspiration and lovely goodies during 2025. Love Annie xx

  20. Frohe Weinachten! Happy Christmas! to everyone celebrating Christmas Eve in the German tradition and to all a very Happy Christmas Day!

To those who are Religious; I wish you Christmas Blessings and are thankful for the Blessings that are received. Christmas is a time of reflection and formulating hopes and dreams for a better New Year.

I hope this Clarity Community and Family continue to support each other in our Creative Endeavours in the year to come. I wish Barbara & Family ; the Clarity Team and the Clarity Community at large a very Happy New Year!

I have completed my BIP the Bear Hunt and managed to come up with an answer for the Anagram, I have sent my email off today; I hope I got it right, but if not, at least it has been a fun few weeks searching the website! I look forward to hearing who has managed to win the Clarity Hamper of Goodies.

For the first time in quite in a few years I have managed to put a Christmas Tree up and decorated it. I feel that I am now starting to heal from the loss of my parents. Though no one ever totally gets over the loss of a loved one, but we can learn to live with it. I don’t say this to make people feel sad or depressed at this happy time of year, but hope that this will help those on their grief journey to see that things will improve one day at a time.

Barb, I am in awe at your decoration over the dinner table, it looks stunning and very cosy and inviting. x
