35 Days To Christmas – Winter Linocut Stamp Sets

35 Days To Christmas – Winter Linocut Stamp Sets

Ho Ho Ho!
The weather is certainly on queue for Christmas! Temperature below 0 and we even had a flurry of snow down here in the south east yesterday, which is unusual nowadays. Are we dreaming of a white Christmas now, just like the ones we used to know? I dug out the lyrics from Irvin Berlin’s famous Christmas song, so you can sing along. Ready?

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas,
Just like the ones I used to know;
Where the treetops glisten and children listen
to hear sleigh bells in the snow.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas,
With every Christmas card I write.
May your days be merry and bright –
and may all your Christmases be white

I thought these lovely lino cut designs were perfect for how it feels when the snow settles in our gardens. You can see how they work; the one stamp sits inside the other stamp – just like a lino print.

We even made them into a little set of 6 beautiful Christmas cards, laser printed. Just in case you are running out of time, or you just don’t have card-making in you this year. CLICK HERE. And yes. You could foil them !

Here is some super inspiration from our art team…

Aren’t they beautiful? CLICK HERE to find the stamps.

I am a bit worn out and overwhelmed today! I just need a week off, to get my ducks back in a row again! Then all will be well. Thing is, I have so much to be grateful for! I really mustn’t complain that I’ve got too much to do! There are people who would love to be busy. That said, I really do have too much on my plate at the moment, and it’s making me anxious, so I would like to move our craftalong which was planned for this evening to another Thursday. Date to be confirmed. Thank you for understanding.

I will be on Clarity Social TV tomorrow morning at 10am, showing off some lovely new stamps, which I drew especially for Eileen Godwin! Clever woman. They went down a storm at the Open Days! And we’ve made some new matching stencils for tomorrow too. Just need to do some prep…

Love and Clarity

  1. I know that over whelming feeling when you don’t feel on top of things. I’m sure no one will mind the change of date for the craft along whilst you get yourself back on track. I find if I make a list of everything I need to do it may look daunting at first but the satisfaction in crossing off one by one (and yes it is acceptable to do a job not on the list and cross straight off!). That way no jobs get forgotten and I then feel back on track. Try and get some time away from work and get yourself back on an even keel, take care x

  2. I love the lino cut stamps and have the winter trio, in fact I have the other original ones too….
    Please take care of yourself

    1. You’ve done such a lot over the past few weeks, so please take some time out for yourself and recharge the batteries. You have a great team behind you and loyal friends so Clarity is in good hands for as long as it takes for you to rest up. Of course we’ll miss you if you take a back seat for a little while, but we’d rather that than see you struggle to cope with a busy workload. Please take care Barb. Xx

  3. Oh Barb, do take care of yourself.
At the moment I can’t do as much as I would like to and I hate it if things get missed, so I make a list (quite a long one at the moment) do what I can when I can, and cross off as I go.
These stamps look interesting but the new ones will have to go on a wish list his time.
Have a rest, keep warm and try to relax.

  4. I am not surprised that you need a bit longer to recover Barbara – I am glad that you’re listening to your body and not just pressing on regardless. Your health is important to your wellbeing and you are important to us.

We are busy packing and counting down the days until we move – 10 days to go……! I am trying not to panic though but just focus on one box at a time, one day at a time!

Lovely artwork. When I was younger, I used to love it when it snowed but now I am not so keen. If I can stay in then I am okay with it, but if I have to go out in it then nowadays I am frightened of falling over…….

  5. Barb, really sorry to hear your feeling a bit under the weather, but totally understand with all that you’ve been doing recently. How about a little ditty and play on words to cheer you up? Here’s my take on the talented Mr Berlin’s festive song!

I’m dreaming of of a bright Claritymas,
Just like the ones I used to know,
Where the ideas glisten, and crafters listen,
And see Barb’s demos on the Show.
I’m dreaming of a bright Claritymas,
With every Clarity card I make,
May your crafts inspire and create,
    A Merry Claritymas with cake!
    🤣🎅

And no worries about shifting the Craftalong – we totally understand. Barb, take care and travel gently! 😊👍🏻

  6. Quite happy to delay the craft along. You need to take time to recover from a very very busy weekend plus the weeks before that. If doing that helps we will be here when you are ready to go ahead with it. I am sure we can all find something to do !! Like Karen I like a list & I add those extra jobs that I had forgotten about or that just need to be done at that time & immediately put a tick at the side 😂 Those ticks make you feel so much better – take care xx

  7. I think your body is telling you to slow down! You have a great crew who are all capable of taking some of the load. Taking off tonight is a start! Is Grace still with you? Could she take you somewhere away from work for a couple of hours? Ithink we all feel a bit jaded with the weather change, plus you have been ultra busy with the open days and workshops! It all takes a toll on the body! Don’t worry, we will still be here and all eager to see all the wonderful creations you all make! Hugsxxx

  8. I’m pleased you are taking heed of what your body is telling you.
The craft along is a good place to start and nobody is going to begrudge you doing what is best for you as in changing dates.
    Take care.

  9. So pleased to hear you are listening to your body and accept you need to take it easy to recover from your very hectic few weeks. That’s part of the getting older process I’ve found, takes so much longer to recover as we don’t spring back as quickly as we used to. Love Ken’s ditti and the beautiful DT samples. No worries about changing tonight’s date, just means we’ve got something lovely to look forward to in the future. Just take care of yourself & all the time you need xxxx

  10. No worries about the craftalong postponement, I understand and I agree with everyone else that you need to look after yourself. You’ve been working at full tilt and you need a break. I hope that you get chance to put your feet up and relax for a while.

  11. Of course it’s OK with us if you cancel tonight and thank you for letting us know, we’d only worry if you just didn’t turn up. My husband and I are off to Cardiff today as our grand daughter is graduating with her Master’s Degree tomorrow, so I’d have been watching in the hotel. Take care Barbara and do just what’s needed. xx

  12. Absolutely love these stamps. I made lots of lovely Christmas cards with these when they were first released. So many different colour combination possibilities. It was really enjoyable to work with them.
I’m not surprised that tonight’s craft along is cancelled. Those three days at Ditton, plus all the preparations, must have been very tiring. I was only there to enjoy myself for a couple of days but I’m blooming knackered!
    Take care x
