66 Days to go – Christmas Rounds Stencils
Hi there
The weather is certainly changing here in the South East of England. Much needed rain. We saw the huge lorries bringing water to fill up the local reservoirs last week, and we still have an official drought. Bonkers. I have to keep my thoughts in today; otherwise I get anxious. My job is to stay focussed on steering Clarity through the storm. These are uncertain times, and I for one benefit greatly from getting out of my head and getting with my hands. Yesterday, I spent a few hours in my little pottery room. I worked in silence, listening to the rain and wind outside. It felt safe.
Two grogged porcelain platters and 3 quirky hand-built pots later, I was calm, and had a plan for the week.
A Plan?? She needs a plan! It gives her something to hang on to. You understand.
- 10 am today, THE SHAC. Stream from home, then go to work.
- Janice is coming in to Clarity, for a 2pm show. Paul will present and assist.
- Meet with Jazz, and move the Open Day workshop design into prototype.
- Finish the Stencil project for the November Club. Write up instructions and draft layout.
So that’s my TO DO list. Of course, there’s the business of the business too, which underpins all this lovely design work, but I won’t bore you with that!
One thing is certain: Christmas is 66 days away! I’ve picked a smashing little set of festive stencils to bring to your attention today.

There are lots of favourites for me but Stencil club #133 has got me hooked at the moment. Going on all my Christmas cards this year, just in the background to make you think, there is something there isn’t there. Doesn’t always have to be in your face but looks great like that too. Compiling my order as we speak. Lots to choose from. xxx

Good morning, pouring here and I’ve had to drop our Mikey at the Cat Clinic for an investigation in his ear and more weight loss so I need a bit of distraction. At 19 you have to expect things going wrong but it’s not easy. I’ve been looking through a lot of old stamps I have that no longer exist – marvelling at how well they stamp as I’ve never used some of them ! X
I got the items on my wish list to be going on with! (thanks for the wish list – can I download another somewhere please?)

My all time favourite stamp is the flying boy along with the castle mask. Will enjoy having a good browse later.
My favourite all time stamp(s) are the Night Before Christmas set. I love, love, love that poem, it brings back all my best memories of Christmas in a nutshell. My other favourite clarity item is the Embedders. What an amazing, simple, effective and classy piece of kit they are.

Was reading this earlier when I realised FB hadn’t pinged but found the message to go to YouTube. Not used it live before but found an icon that separated the picture from the chat so that worked better just couldn’t link the replies to the comments but I think overall we all managed. Every day’s a school day when trying something new – good to do every so often !!
I have these stencils on my desk ready to do some Christmas cards so its nice to see the DT samples but will also check out the website. Browsing through the sale to see what I need – don’t tell OH !! but in the grand scheme of things they won’t take up a lot of space.
We had the storm yesterday evening – very heavy but so far our internet is ok so that’s good. Hope yours returns to full working order soon as presumably the orders aren’t coming through for the team to deal with.

Thank you for the todays shac, I usually watch on FB, and switched to Youtube easily, which was great, but alas I wasn’t able to comment, but I was pleased to have my Monday Shac fix, so all is okay with me. Thank you for the Autumn sale, I did a order yesterday, and will do another order towards the end of the week, and if it’s something is not available, I shall just order something else, that I have maybe deleted from my list!! I do love the Groovi Floral alphabet, love the stamps too, but then again, I love all my stash, so it’s difficult to pick out a favourite. xx
