99 Days To Christmas – Why Clarity Embedders are a Must-Have
Hi there.
99 Days to Christmas?? The countdown is underway! And since this ‘ere blog is entitled One Day at a Time, what better place to keep track of the calendar than here? I am very fortunate that the kids are coming home from the States for Christmas this year, but that means I really want to get ahead, and have a few handmade gifts and cards made before they land! How about you? I bet you’ve already started, haven’t you?! And if you haven’t, then let’s tackle this prep together, and have a little fun along the way.
I want to enjoy this making and planning for once, instead of leaving everything till the last week, and then flying round and spending a small fortune on stuff nobody wants! I’m going to make a list of friends and family, then I’m going to start making cards, tags and pottery! And no. I will not procrastinate.
If we’re going to get ahead of our handmade gifts and cards for this Christmas, then there’s no better time than TODAY to start. Right! Project No. 1 coming up.
NOTELETS AND TAGS – either as a gift of 5, or to send.
I can only speak for myself, but I personally do love it when friends gift me handmade sets of notelets. And I especially love matching tags. It’s such a treat to have a little stash of cards and tags ready to use – especially when you’re chasing your tail – like most of us!
So how about we take another look at that rather excellent stamp set that we released this past Monday? The A4 Christmas Backdrop Sampler. New and classy – and super easy to use. CLICK HERE TO FIND.

And let’s combine it with our Nested Square Embedders. If we’re making cards, notelets and tags, then Embedders are great for adding a classy finishing touch.
The easiest little card/notelet I demonstrated was actually using the Nested Square Embedders. Here’s a quick recap, if you missed the Clarity TV show at 2pm on Monday 15th September. You can always go back and watch the live demo on our website on Catch up TV HERE. It’s the Magical Christmas Angel Demo 1. So it will be at the start of the hour. Shows you exactly how our Embedders work, and how to use them effectively.

Here’s a little Photo step by step for you too…Let’s use that Geo Template in the set of Nested Square Embedders too…

your stamped image. We’ll use the small 3.5” square card. Place a piece in the centre; maybe keep it in place with low tack masking tape.

and a lighter blue to the bottom.

so that the mount lines up with the opening. Voila. You can do this with the other square stamps in the set too.

If you’d like to try this, but my explanation is as clear as mud, then do go back and watch the video from Monday. It will be so much easier to follow!
Tomorrow, let’s look at some lovely tags and little cards that the clever Clarity Art team made using this formidable Christmas Backdrop Stamp Set.
Let’s have a Magical Christmas – and let’s enjoy the journey there!
Love always

This card is lovely – so simple and elegant! I am going to try and create my own version in parchment……
I have made a few Christmas cards already but will need quite a lot more.
I go on holiday in a couple of weeks and am planning to prep a few cards that will just need embroidery to finish them off. I did this last year and it worked really well – the stash I needed to take was fairly minimal and contained, and at the end of the holiday I had a lovely set of cards all done ready. Just need to do the prep beforehand to take……..
What a great idea to do the countdown with you and Clarity goodies. I for one will be reading and to have a designated Christmas Shop is very helpful! Xx
The Countdown begins – a gentle journey towards the Big Day. Our plan is to go to our daughters & stay over in a hotel with my mom not far from her house. That way we can enjoy the festivities & the new puppy will be in her known environment. The wrapping paper might prove exciting for her !! but I am sure we will all cope.
It will be nice for you to have all the family home for Christmas, just take it steady & delegate where necessary to the younger members.
Meanwhile with a little project each day I am sure we will all get there without feeling worn out & frazzled xx
What a lovely card, and ideal for batch making.
I need to place another order 😄
Many thanks for all the inspiration – it really helps xxx
Great classic elegant Clarity card – I love the idea of making notelets and matching tags to give away. Think I may do that this year. Thanks for the idea – a set in a box for all the grownups and maybe a set of children’s cards too. I’ll do my best. Feeling inspired but will have to wait till Friday to get into my craft room- so much going on this week. Just Might have to buy this Xmas set !
I adore these little cards, they are so useful.
It will be lovely for you to have your kids home for Christmas. Hopefully you will get plenty of quality time to spend with them and put Worka and Horlick in the cupboard under the stairs for the duration of the holiday.
Looking forward to upcoming shows.
How lovely to have the kids both home for Christmas, no wonder you want to be organised and have everything out the way in good time so you can spend real quality time with them. I know all to well of rushing around trying to buy presents at the last minute spending money I didn’t have as I’d left it so late & then you have all the wrapping as well. Am loving this idea xxx
